Is there a way to add app shortcut options to the lock screen yet instead of just unlock and camera?
buy and download Widget Locker from the market.
or wait and install a custom rom with those feature. there are a couple now but i believe they are still in beta status.

What happened to the JB lock screen? After the JB update, lock screen is the same. I thought we were going to be able to launch Google Now from the lock screen?
Touchwiz/Samsung launcher is probably overriding it - if you switch to an AOSP rom then you will have that option.
You can add Google search app to the lock screen and launch Google now with a swipe.

Get holo locker from the market, disable the Samsung lock-screen. Boom goes the dynamite.
Hey guys, I've seen this option in custom ROMs but can't quite figure it out on a stock phone. Is there a way of adding app shortcuts to my lock screen slider? Currently I drag the lock circle to the unlock area and the phone is unlocked. I want to add other shortcuts there so I can drag that icon to, say my text message app, or twitter, etc.
I do not want to add widgets to my lock screen, so please do not suggest doing that.

That's a custom ROM feature, not available on stock.

No way at all to do it on stock? Not with another app or anything?
IDK if any custom lockscreens (e.g. Widget Locker) include that functionality or not. The only other work around I can think of is maybe lockscreen widgets.

The quick launch apps are based on your standard app dock on the bottom. If you want to switch it, you can download a new lock app. I use Holo Locker myself and really like it.
Like many other people, I hate the sense style lock screen on the HTC one. After installing the GEL launcher to a more stock android experience all I wanted to do was get rid of the sense lock screen but the problem was my phone isn't rooted. But I found a way to get the stock lock screen minus some of it's features and here's how:
1. Personalize> Lock Screen Style> Select the No Lock Screen
2. Apps> All> HTC Lock Screen> Click force close
3. Apps> All> Lock Screen Command Control> Click Disable
4. Restart your phone
After doing these steps you should now have the stock android lock screen, the only problem being that so far I can only get it to have the unlock option instead of also the Google and camera unlocks. To get widgets however, you can go to Personalize> Lock Screen Style> widgets> settings> And then click the widget that you would like on the lock screen. By disabling the sense lock screen like this and instead of using an install method it is much easier to revert back to the sense lock screen by just enabling the Lock Screen Command Control.
Hope this has helped some of you who aren't rooted and are trying to get rid of the sense lock screen.
I have an lg g3 and i really want to try to use a custom lock screen. without rooting. however as we all know the tap to lock function ceases to work if you change the lock screen. any suggestions? im sure this is already covered but i was wondering if there was a lock screen out there that has gestures so like with nova launcher. you can just enable a lock the screen or turn off the screen app.
I am aware of this. Could you rephrase your statement? as it does not really answer my question. I'm not using the stock launcher. I'm using nova launcher. I know that you can use a non stock launcher and still tap the screen but for the lock screen you have to tap the notification bar if you want to use a non-stock lockscreen. What I want to do see if there is a way around it
