On my Mum's HTC Wildfire it won't open chats on Google+ Messenger, it just keeps dropping back to the conversation list. I've talked her through checking the app is up to date and clearing data, but it still wont work.
Anyone seen this before and know a fix?
The same for me, I just can't enter in the conversation screen

Hi there,
after i bought my hd mini i tried to log in Facebook with the preinstalled app.
After typing user and password the screen just showed "getting user-id".
i tried the newest version from the marketplace (v1.2) and the version from microsofts homepage (v1.0.17). the login worked ( i got a mail from facebook that i loged in from a windows mobile device) but the app just shows "getting user-id".
anyone there who has the same problem/ a solution for me?
Same here.
Try to install Microsoft Facebook
this prob is since facebook updated the api a couple weeks ago, ms are a bit slow releasing an update to fix it
since updating to 2.10.405.2 stock firmware the friend stream widget hangs showing updating on the bottom bar. some times it show new posts other time it does not , seems only to be when manually updating / refreshing.
resting the phone / force closing the widget or removing it and re adding, when it reloads it show all posts and time when updated.
I have tried stopping the services and clearing the data/cash without success.
does anyone has any suggestions?
when this happened to me it was actually a problem with facebook/twitter
if you have the actual apps you might want to check if you've entered the right usernames/passwords etc
if it was working when you first installed the system then a hard reset would fix the problem, meaning either your information is incorrect or even when you reset you re-created the problem.
thanks. i can log in to facebook and twitter no problems and go in to the friend stream app, its only a problem with the widget.
Since i've started my adventure with Desire I have problem with Friendstream widget. It updates itself when it wants and never when I want it. Sometimes it is stuck for 2 days.

random fix, i installed the Facebook app from the market place and now its working, i was using the stock app that was installed by default
Hopefully this is the correct section to post this.
I'm running Facebook for Android 1.5.0 on my Desire HD (pre-installed, running the stock ROM), and when I enter the app, it updates right away and just fine, no probs at all.
But when I use the widget, the status updates don't update. It does however update how long ago the status updates that are displayed, were posted.
If I clear data and force close the app and then set it up again (I have set it to NOT sync my contacts, as Facebook for Sense is already doing this), it updates fine, sometimes for a couple of hours, sometimes more, then it stops updating again and I can start all over.
Any idea what's going on with this? Anybody else experiencing the same?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Yeah, same problem here. Doesn't bug me much, but that's me.
Hi there XDA, yet another question... I am running a custom Rom and basically I installed Facebook from the market everything was working until about half an hour ago, since then when I log in, it will say loading, then come up with a message saying I need to re-login, then after I login it will do it again after 5 seconds, anything to help? Thanks.

Try removing the account then adding it again (Settings > Accounts and Sync) or you can uninstall and reinstall the app
Has anyone else been having problems with the Facebook Messenger App?
I kept getting "Something Went Wrong" error messages when refreshing the conversation list and after reinstalling the app now i can't login. The normal Facebook App works fine.
It keeps on beeping even with active chat so annoying
