Keep Asphalt and GTA progress after a wipe? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Anyone know how to do this please?
I am going to flash and wipe my phone but I have done quite well on thee games and I don't fancy starting again
Cheers

I move all of my contents from my sd card to my computer. Then find the files for the games and after I flash my new rom I move those files back onto the sd card in the same place and that seems to work for me

GTA saves are in the /sdcard/android/com.rockstar.gta3 folder. You won't lose them on a wipe of the phone. Unless you do a factory reset. Otherwise in the GTA folder you'll see a few files whereas all others are folders. Those are the saved games

asphalt save is in sdcard/gameloft/games/xxx(forget the folder's name, maybe asphalt6)

if you use SuperWipe (found in Android Revolution ROM's thread) it will keep all user data a lone

Thank you for the quick response, can i pick individual apps for it to back up or when you do a batch backup does it just do everything?

On the Backup/Restore tab in Titanium, you can backup the apps individually. Doing it by batch would be easier, plus nothing beats having a backup of all installed apps plus system apps.
What backup will restore game save data?
I just flashed a ROM and was disappointed to see my high scores no longer present.
I've restored a nandbackup and will try and rebackup my games to see if the data will be saved this time...
EDIT: Absolutely ridiculous, lost my high scores.

you can also use adb backup
Afaik contrary to the above post TiBu does NOT back up game data! Yes TIBu backs up application data, but I dont believe game data is included. Try the app SyncIt beta by Jug6ernaut.
It depends on the game.

PRO Does, at least it will back it up if you allow it to, the default is to back it up if it has up to 30MB of data, but you could set the threshold as high as you want... Altough I've never tried doing that.

Dead Tigger Titanium Restore.

Posting this here since I'm working on the N7, although I had the same issue when going from ICS to JB on the Kindle Fire.
I've done a backup of all my current apps I had on My Kindle Fire and restored them to the the Nexus 7 using Titanium Backup and Airdroid.
All the apps I've tried so far has been good, Dead Trigger though goes back to the very beginning.
I have a of of time and some actual money in that the game. I need to restore. Can't find any info on what I'm doing wrong.
Help Please!

Dead trigger stores its data in /sdcard/Android/obb/com.madfingergames.deadtrigger/. Copy that whole folder to the same location on the new device. Other games store their data in /sdcard/Android/data, so look there for other any future apps that give you the same issue.
Good luck,

thanks. Copied the entire folder, there was only one large. obb file, copied it over. No go. Even checked the md5 to make sure .
Really? I just backup with TB and then restore. After I launch the app, it downloads the 115 mob again and my save is good to go. But I'm not going from ICS to jb. Hm.

So I discovered this the other day. If you create a account with them in the safehouse you can back up your game with them and restore it at any time. You just have to beat the first level.

Titanium might have some trouble with it, since they store their data a little differently.
The saves are at:
Sdcard/Android/data/com.rockstargames.gtavc/files
It's nice that they do it this way because you can easily move and copy your saves without rooting. I set up Dropsync to sync my saves between my 2 android devices.

Titanium back up problem

Hi everyone,
Just wondered if anyone can help me with a titanium back up problem I'm getting, not been using it too long so want to make sure I haven't missed anything obvious!
Thanks Pete

LOL, good point, I have set titanium to always back up external data, I installed alien vs predators and there is a large obb file within the Android Data folder, Titanium doesn't back this up, so if I delete the game then I have to download it all again and all my saved game data is gone
Can't understand what's going on.
Pete.
PS I've noticed it does this on other ones too.

Hey Pete,
I had the same issue but i realise it only backs up large external data that are within the Android/Data Folder and does not include the obb folder. Theres is no option to select the folder either. Hope this clears your question. I can only suggest that you manually backup the obb folder onto external.
OR use directory bind for such big data folder.

Thanks for that, that explains things, but to be honest I'm very disappointed in that, I brought this to back everything up but it appears that this isn't the case.

[Q] (Q) How do i Transfer over games saves?

I just bought the 2013 Nexus 7 and downloaded all my apps. How do I port over my CSR Racing and Real Racing 3 saved progress from my Nexus 7 2012? I have spent hours and hours playing these 2 games not to mention made in app purchases i don't wanna start all over. I don't have a FB signing in via social media isn't an option.
If there's any app that'll do the job quick & easily it'll be Titanium Backup. Backup app+data from the old and restore on the new.

You could try helium.

I have used it before.
Doesn't one of the new google services transfer over saved game data also.

Copy the respective data folders from your old nexus' sd card, and paste them in the right place on the new nexus.
If there are any additional folders, google them, and find them in your old nexus and paste them here too. I did it in Raging Thunder game I used to play on my old Desire, and even Smash Cops Heat, though I don't play them anymore, they worked back then with all data intact..
Easy peasy
open titanium backup> backup those games> plug your nexus 7 to the PC, and get the folder in sdcard/titaniumbackup, then plug your new nexus 7 and transfer the folder to it.
now open titanium backup in your nexus 2013 and restore the games.
First thing we need to know is if you are rooted or not. Titanium and many other backup apps only work if you are rooted.

Titanium is a real arse in my case. Hugely messy, and doesn't seem to wok in my case. i've tried it on two devices, my old desire and new nexus, but it seems to like being stuck. Often used to cause bootloops on my old Desire, and now doesn't work on my new nexus, so I've ditched it, and I'm using other methods for that.

Using Helium partially worked I was able to upload my game save files to Dropbox but I couldn't restore them down to my N72013 Helium kept giving an error message. So I don't know where exactly to copy & paste gaming files to on the N72013

If you have helium on both devices, you can sync the data of any app between the two. Works great.
