[Q] OpenSense SDK, Kernel Source Code, Any possibility to upgrade? - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm interested about the release of OpenSense and Kernel Source Code for HTC Wildfire, however, I have several un-answered questions:
1- Can I upgrade the whole HTC Sense 1.0 included with stock HTC Wildfire (Froyo) to Sense 3.5 UI using the OpenSense SDK? (Replace all UI elements with refreshed icon packs, sounds and other elements)?
2- Any possibility to use the OpenSense SDK to fully theme AOSP based ROMs like "Cyanogenmod" to have a hybrid ROM with both AOSP and Sense which means fulfilling needs of millions of users who dreams of the latest update of Sense UI with latest features of AOSP ROMs.
3- Is there any possibility to mess with the stock kernel of Froyo to get it upgraded to 2.3.7 and integrate it with any existing Radio to cook own ROM, in addition to OpenSense customization?
Wishing you a Happy New Year 2012

No to all. Read up a bit more on what the OpenSense SDK is, please. It allows you to code stuff for Sense. Sense is still Closed Source.

[Q] Sense ROM

Do you think Cyanogen would bring out a sense ui rom rather than implementing some sort of sense touch to its roms?
Cyanogen is specifically only for AOSP rom's there is no chance that he will come out with a sense rom and also if you want the design of sense rom's you can use different widgets to achieve that.
Yeah, Sense is not what CM is about. And that is why there are a variety of ROMs from various chefs. If you want Sense, flash a ROM that has it.

[Q] HTC Sense SMS 3.0 in 2.2.1?

Hello,
is there any opinion to use the Sense SMS 3.0 App in 2.2.1?
if you mean on android 2.2.1 im pretty sure that's not possible.
because it needs a lot of framework changes to work on sense 2.1 and your android version is still shipped with android 2.0.
i would recommend to change rom anyways, as the official GB update is out now!

[Q] interface after dialing

How can i change the interface after dialing?
i talk about that: http://mos.futurenet.com/techradar/...ngrabs/HTC_Desire_HD_screebgrab42-210-100.jpg
Are you talking about the way it looks? There are many ways to do this but it only changes the aesthetics and not any functions.
It looks like you're on a Sense ROM currently so:
One of the ways is to flash a new ROM that is not Sense based, such as:
AOSP Ice Cold Sandwich.
MIUI ROM
CyanogenMod 7
Or another way is to download a theme for a Sense ROM such as BlueHD or ICS theme for Sense.
The different ROMS can be found in the Android Development section.
The themes can be found in the ARHD ROM thread. Obviously you'll need to flash ARHD to use those themes

[Q] Sense 4.0 Apps in Sense 3.5?

Is it possible to install the new HTC sense 4.0 messaging apk on a 3.5 rom? or would it take some work to port that?
Bump.
Really no one knows how or if its possible?
like for example can i install the sense 4.0 SMS app on like 3.0 or 3.5?
My initial assumption is no, it's not possible. Sense 4.0 is built on a completely version of Android then the versions of Sense we currently have ROMs for.
haha thanks, i completely forgot that they were on different versions of android

JellyBean With Sense 4?

Sorry if is a stupid question, but it´s posible to take CM10 base and add all sense 4 stuff to make a Jellybeam Rom with HTC Sense 4?
It´s this so complicated, and we need to wait until HTC release some leak ROM with JB and Sense 4.0 or 4.1 to one of his mid-range terminal with non HD screen?.
Currently using Nik Project X v4.1 that works pretty well, but want to have JB without loosing Sense.
Thanks for all.
I think it's not possibly for this monent, because HTC Sense 4 applications (Camera.apk, and others) are compiled using ICS frameworks.
For example, when I try to install Camera.apk from 4.0.4 ICS to 4.0.3 (via adb install), it gives an error, that shows difference in FW version.
This belongs in Q & A, not development bubba
