Is there a way that I can setup my Incredible's Touchpad to be my Home button?
I was wondering if I could get it setup so that pressing once would be just like pressing the Home soft button, Press/Hold would then activate my recent apps list like the Home soft button.
I know I can reprogram the Home soft button using Button Remapper to be a number of other things but wanted to see if I could reprogram the trackpad first. Thanks.
You would need to edit /system/usr/keylayot/inc-keypad.kl
I will try to figure out the exact change in a second.

It should actually be in /system/usr/keylayot/qwerty.kl
Change line 26 to:
key 232 HOME WAKE
Let me know if it works.

Could a hack like this make the track pad button play/pause a media player?

I recently bought a pair of Skullcandy headphones and they have the piece which lets you pause/play music and go forward or to previous tracks. There's a problem though. When they're in my pocket, the control button hits play and my iPod plays music while it's in my pocket. Is there a way to disable that or a way to prevent it from pressing play?

OK so my power button is going wack so I went to settings and enabled unlock screen with volume rockers. My question is how do I get it to lock with something like the search key? Or is there any way I can get my power button to work because it still works sometimes

I finished with it just now and couldn't get it to work by just waking the screen. I use the task when headphones are plugged in it opens my music player which in turn wakes the phone.

Installed helper, now what? It still tells "Sorry, StayOn is not available in Android 4.2+...."

Yup it does.
As I said earlier I couldn't get the task to work right.
You'll select plugin > secure settings > edit
Than it'll open secure settings.
Select wake device, select time and hit save at the bottom.
In theory by plugging in the headset the screen should wake.
As I also said, having it open a music player (which I assume is what you'd be using it for) would wake the screen also.

Thanks, works great.
I've noticed my HOME button is a little bit noiser than the S4 or Note 2, what's your experience?, thanks
I agree. Also my power button seems to not register well. Do you guys have this problem to?

I do not think the HOME button is defective, it's just a different solution. I've noticed the Trackpad of my MacBook Air is also very noisy

Regardless of the home button I like how the s pen can finally touch the capacitive buttons on the bottom.

Now if I can just get a gamekeyboard setup to let me emulate my touch screen with my game pad so I can install minecraft and switch it to gamepad or be able to restore it from titanium backup without being able to use my touch screen that would be great! Only works on stock gb tho

I just found about it just recently, even when my flex was damaged and touchscreen didn't work, i didn't know about that keyboard.
You could check app from same developer that have widget for changing keyboard without going to optios menu (if it benefit you). I never used gamekeyboard (in my country i can't buy apps in play store, and it isn't avaible in amazon app store where i can), so i can't help you there much...
