download market enabler
Already tried that, doesn't make any difference, shouldn't there come a field where to login?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
no - after u manually install market enabler(google the app) then launch the app, hit Save Seettings(for future use) and longpress the us line for instance - then select fake this provider
it should then ask you for root permissions, and voila - ur done
now u got paid apps...
That did the trick, the market enabler downloaded from market, didn't work at all...
Market enabler is not in market because google banned it once :-/
There was some other market fix, dunno what that's for then

Just notice this morning that the android market download tab looks different, has less lag and offers automatic update to individual apps. Did you all notice the different?

I have no such option on my phone as Settings> Applications> Market
When I go settings> applications> manage applications it is not listed there as an app.
I am in Canada on stock JH2... Should this matter?

Verify the download as the latest, download, and re-flash again.
Not sure about Chrometophone though.
MarketEnabler
If you don't feel like reflashing,
you can install apps restricted to certain zones (such as Chrome to phone) via the market using MarketEnabler

Fire it up, go to the "Settings list", long press on one of the listed providers, click "fake this provider now" and then you can install Chrome to phone (and other zone restricted apps) like you would do for any other app via the Market.

ALL apps force close?
Something seems thoroughly wrong with your install. At this point I'd consider a complete wipe & reinstall of your ROM.

Just what the title says. I'm trying to install setcpu and I keep getting this error. Unknown error code during app install 24. Yes, I'm rooted. Running aeonfluxx with deviants newest kernel. I've been having this issue since I tried an aokp Rom and I have no clue what is causing this or what direction to go. Searching turned up nothing and I'd really like be able to set my cpu parameters for battery purposes and what not. Any help? I'd rather not format everything if at all possible, that's my last option.

Try going to SETTINGS, APPLICATIONS MANAGER (APP MANAGER or something like that depending on your ROM), Scroll to ALL, then find GOOGLE PLAY STORE, UNINSTALL UPDATES. Then open up the Play Store and accept. Now try getting SetCPU

settings -> applications -> manage applications (go to "all") -> google play store -> clear data/cache. go into the market, setup account and give it another try
The current version of Aptoide works fine on my 7" and installs apps flawlessly. I'm not so sure that I need the play store now - although there are other Google apps I'd like to get working. (I'm waiting a few weeks to decide if I need to root.)

sideloaded apps did not go thorugh the Amazon "carousel" launcher, so you won't see a shortcut there. But if you hit the "app" section on top you should see it in the list.
