Nothing. Not until they add the device. This will only compile roms for CM supported devices

What are the two ROMs in the Dev section of this forum (the DARKSIDE CM7 Hybrid and another nameless one)? I'm fairly new to this, so I apologize if this comes off as naive.

They seem to be kanged builds not official builds

Someone downloaded the compiled CM7 build linked in the dev section, and modified it, just like the devs take the OEM roms, modify them, and flash them (think of the alpha as a stock Samsung rom, and think of one of the other CM7 roms as a rom from adt or team kang, just without making the original much better [not knocking team kang or adt in anyway]).

I take no credit for this other than building it and uploading it. This is 100% based off of code from Team Douche. Special thanks to cyanogen, Zinx, and Kmobs for giving us such great code to work with. Special thanks to Gridlock32404 for all the help he's provided me with android in general.
This is basically the same as the CM7 Alpha roms, but with all of CMParts and CM Settings removed.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11228290/recovery.img (ClockworkMod 3 Recovery)
If you haven't already been running a CM7 Alpha, you'll need to manually flash a new recovery image since 2.3 based roms are not compatible with the current recovery found in ROM manager.
Download the recovery image posted above, and flash using fastboot.
$adb reboot bootloader
$fastboot flash recovery /path/to/recovery.img (replace path/to/ with the actual path to where you downloaded the recovery image)
If you'd rather flash the recovery from the emulator follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=361
once you have the new recovery, install the ROM through recovery as you normally would. You'll need a full wipe. After flashing the ROM, you'll need to flash the gapps posted above. Thanks to Grankin01 for putting those together.
Also, if you decide to go back to a froyo rom, you'll need to flash the old recovery. If you need help flashing the recovery,
check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=852905
Also, if you are having trouble with adb/usb drivers check out the below thread by b16a2smith

Known Issues for this ROM are the same as all of the current CM7 alpha builds.

Wow thanks for this. And this is the real deal, proper credits and all. Unlike some previous ones. Will be flashing this one soon.
After initial boot, this ROM boots quickly. I did attempt to open the wifi calling, just opened and closed. Gonna load the rest of my apps and test the camera

The lack of credit is why I put this together in the first place.
So if the issues are the same and what not and its just cm parts removed, what are the benefits of this vs cm7 ...?

well obviously its for people who want a more original themed GB rom instead of having all the CM stuff.
what can we expect from this ROM that would differ from the other CM7 thread? i dont understand the necessity of fragmentation on a particular ROM unless each iteration has its own unique features that sets it apart from the next...

So basically this is just like the first CM Alpha that was released, but just with recent stuff? I remember the first Alpha had no CM stuff.

It is very simple. This is a close to AOSP ROM with CM base and Framework, just all the CM stuff removed. So you get a more pure Gingerbread feeling ROM like the Nexus S shipped with. Obviously it is not compiled on the original source yet but you get the same kind of experience.
Everybody has different taste. This is more of a very light ROM

from what I've read it appears it would be like Running eVil D's MT4G-G2 ROM as opposed to CM 6.1.2 RC2.
GingerBaked and MT4G-G2 = Pure Vanilla Android
CM 7 and CM 6.1.2 RC2 = Tweaked / Modded Vanilla Android
Hi! I'm quite a noob when it comes to ROM development specifically for my Desire Z, so I'm hoping some people can clarify my doubts, and cure me of my sleepless nights!
Can I just download a distribution from the Android Developers website and use it on my DZ? If not, then how do I compile ROMs then?
Thanks in advanced!
Don't know anything about rom development, but you might want to have a look at this http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Vision:_Compile_CyanogenMod_%28Linux%29
-Nipqer
Thanks for the reply, the link is on how to compile Cyanogen, but it doesn't say how to compile clean build Android for our DZ.

I don't think there can be a true "clean" build of Android -- to get the camera, etc to work there have to be drivers in place.
You can get close, though. Download any "AOSP" (Android Open Source Project) ROM and you have it. You can probably also make Cyanogen into something close to AOSP just by not including the extras CM provides.

What exactly is CNA ? If you are trying to build a pure android source I would look at the source code alquezs cyanogenmod port as that is the basic open source that came with the phones level of android (2.3 gingerbread) but as far as source and building is concerned I would look at your tut and when it gives you any reference to the original target device, swap it out for marvel. These things tend to be renamable to pretty much anything. If you link to the tut I can have a look over it for you and see if I can help

Codename android is a rom like AOKP or Cyanogenmod, it's a Jelly Bean only rom though I belive,
here is a thread

and the GitHub
https://github.com/CNA
this is the tutorial I mentioned

I know it's pretty vague but thats the best I can find

Well, that does look like a cyanogenmod aokp aosp fusion with some new stuff.
As far as the guide is concerned just swap out the names of the downloaded files with the ones you are using, like pull the repo from your required github and not the one in the guide. Most of the commands for compiling will be the same as the compiler is for jellybean. As far as editing this github source code to make it run on the marvel I'm not so sure. You can look at the current cm10 roms here for some insight on how they made them work but this is where I get lost buddy

Tapped out from my sexy nexus 7
Its been awhile since ive seen a device without aokp support. Will we have it and doesnt anyone know when
isn't AOKP still based off CM? Usually you start seeing all the original AOSP type ROM's come out after CM has been released.

Actually, they compile from source now! They do, however, use the CM device trees to fix things with their builds for some devices. Just a little fun fact and to answer the e.t.a question, we really don't know! Whenever a maintainer get their hands on one or someone steps up to maintain the device with them.
Hi there, I'm new to these threads and recently put cyanogenmod 12.1 on my nexus 7. I was surprised how clean and well optimized it ran so I was going to put cyanogenmod 13 on my HTC One M9.
So I was curious if there was anyone on these forums that had the time to answer some beginner questions.
1: I have carrier locked HTC One M9 from Australia, can I unlock and install Cyanogenmod 13?
2: How can I backup my original Rom?
3: Any recommendations?
Thank you in advance
Go into recovery and twrp has a backup button. Save it to your micro SD card
1. You will need to get S-OFF to be able to flash MM 3.xxx.xxx firmware to be able to run CM 13.
2. You need to go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3066720
3. Read and read

Since I had a similar question to what's been posted here. I'm going to ask in this thread. I've been looking for non-sense(no pun intended) roms, for my phone and found that CM looks like something I'd like. However, all I've found are nightly builds. Is it a good idea to wait until there are some stable builds or are those nightly builds good enough? Been looking for non-sense roms all over, but it seems all the top ones are derived from sense, I'm just interested in getting as far away from stock as I possibly can.
Candy rom and CM are the only builds I've used on M9....
Candy is CM based and runs far better than stock CM nightly builds...
CM will get there...but for now I'm avoiding it...
Also...candy rom will run on 2.x firmware....and CM13 will not....g

Newbie here, just did my first root + got a custom rom (CM13) [if you're thinking of getting it now, please don't. I'm doing you a favor.]
However, releasing what nightly's are, im now wondering how stable is this 'Candy rom' you speak of?

Small question, if you will. Does CandySix bring all the features that CM does? By this I mean, root, the UI customizations such as menu colors, themes, and UI tweaks. I'm using ViperOne right now, and although I like its UI themes and colors a lot, I don't like Sense that much. I know this isn't all that related to the thread but I don't want to open up a new thread just to ask about this stuff.
