I just had the new ROM Runnymede AIO V4.0 Special Edition installed on my Desire, but the volume for calls, email, etc are so low. Yes, I had turn up the volume in the sound menu, etc...
Any idea what is wrong?

What ROM are you using because ive been using cool3d sense 3.0 rom and insertcoin and didnt have any trouble with the volume
I'm looking through the Cool Roms site http://www.cooldevs.com and they seem to run 6 concurrent Desire ROMS. I'm trying to work out the difference between them and which to try. I can see some have newer versions of Sense, but some have the same descriptions.
Is there an FAQ or something somewhere that explains the differences?
It appears RunnyMede is the latest with Sense 3.5. Are Sense 3.5 Roms now considered stable and every day useable on a Desire? Or should I pick another?
Sorry for the n00b questions, I've been reading though some of the ROM threads but they are so long I need a n00bs FAQ or something!

There is no group.. only one ROM, Runnymede but different base for different version.
It is almost same as
Cool3D RunnyMede v5 Bravo - Runnymede (Sensation) port of Gingerbread 2.3.5 with Sense 3.5
but on different ROM base.. you can see the different in base number.

2) Full wipe in recovery
3) Flash the ROM.zip
4) Do not reboot yet.
5) Flash stock_hboot.zip
6) Reboot and enjoy your newly flashed ROM.

HTC_IME_NO_Arrow.zip can also after step 5, should not be a problem.
But RCTweaks_stock.zip must be after doing the 6 steps.

It was never based on DHD. It's based on SagaS from the beginning.

Read the ROM's thread for more info (the last 20-30 pages, or use SEARCH).
What headphones do you use? Maybe they are not good enough to outline the better ouput.

Is it anything other than a marketing gimmick anyway? The Beats headphones themselves have been proved to not be as good as some sennheisers so not quite sure what the point of beats is anyway.
Wnen you activate the beats boost in rcmix, it will download a new lib file from RCMix server and replace the original lib in system. Most of the time, the lib downloaded from RCMix server may not compatible with the music app that you have in the ROM... this result in no improvement of sound when beats boost is activated.

Common Flashing Guide For Roms/Kernels
1. Make a nandroid backup [For If you wish to Revert Back.]
2. Reboot to Recovery.
3. Wipe Cache Partition.
4. Wipe Dalvic Cache in Advance menu.
5. Flash The Rom/Kernel.
6. Have patients till it flash.
7. Again Wipe the dalvic cache.
8. Congratulations You Are done.
9. Wait For some time after flashing as its the first boot it takes time.
10. Thankyou you are done.
