The weirdest multitouch bug example ever - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So we're all aware of the multitouch bug, where the lower-right corner (in landscape) becomes unresponsive. It's clearly a software issue, but I found the strangest way to provoke it.

If I jump from barrel to barrel without touching the toxic ooze, multitouch continues to work just fine. If I fall in the toxic ooze, the bug appears. That is, I can't hit A or B while moving the joystick. I click the screen off and back on and it's fine, but if I fall in the ooze again, the bug reappears instantly. As long as I stay on the barrels, multitouch continues to work fine.
I tried it several times, playing with save states to make sure it wasn't just me. It holds true every single time. I even quit the emulator and re-opened it, and somehow, this weird little quirk in the game still affects the multitouch of the device.
PS: Yes, I've gotten this far through on-screen controls. I just got to Click Clock Wood

turn the screen off and back on, it will be gone.

You didn't read my post at all...

it's interesting you can invoke it at will. What emulator/game are you using?

[Q] Anyone experiencing this when launching some apps?

This happening to anyone else when opening certain apps? It only happens for a second or two, then returns to the normal graphics. I did a quick search but couldn't find anything.

It only seems to happen when launching some games. Examples include:
Paper Glider Vs Gnomes
Castle Warriors
Burn The City
Do you have force gpu rendering on? If so turn it off.

Tried that, but it happens regardless.
Thanks anyway.
Probably a kernel problem. I would sometimes have weird graphics glitches with Franco's old kernels.
I have this same glitch on franco's latest 13.1 kernel and any kernel I've tried in Captain America. It does this for a few seconds, then loads the game and plays fine. Doesn't bother me anymore, as long as the games still plays properly.
I am stock and it happens on some of my games, I just figured they are not quite up to ics par. There are a lot of developers who say there games are compatible just to get it downloaded when they just don't work all that great. Jenga off the top of my head does that. When it happens I just uninstall them.

[Q] Unreachable area - touch screen cut off point?

I use LMT as I hide soft keys I noticed it's very difficult to activate the LMT piecontrol when in landscape mode.
This is the lowest I can go on my screen before the screen no longer registers any touch (and is most likely the reason why LMT piecontrol does not pop up when I keep trying).

Clearly shows there is a unreachable band which the phone does not register me touching.
Anyone else have this issue or have I got a defected device?
Anyone?

There is a well documented with multi-touch on original factory roms where parts of the screen would fail to detect when doing multi-touch. I believe this is fixed in 4.0.4. If you're willing, try flashing to 4.0.4 to see if the problem is fixed for you. Otherwise, I'd suggest exchanging.

This is not a multi touch issue. This is a simple single touch issue where the screen seems to 'end short'
Could some others test if they can reach the very bottom of the screen when the softkeys are hidden?

Seems to be working better now with AOKP B27. Still a bit of a hit and miss though, I think it may have something to do with the curvature of the screen or maybe my finger is deformed.

[Q] Black vertical line in launcher???

Hello everyone.
I've just noticed recently that there's a black line in my JB stock and Trebuchet launcher when I'm moving items from one screen to another.
Its a straight black line going from the bottom to top (or top to bottom). I'm sure its not caused by dead pixels cuz I only see the line when I'm moving items and the "glow" is on. The image is attached.

As you see above, there's a black line when I'm moving my camera shortcut (I took the screenshot in CM10 but the same line appeared when I used a stock rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801664 .
Has anyone experienced this before? or is this a JB bug?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: The line only appears when i move any item to the left side of the screen only.
I have it too.
I'm pretty sure I had it in Ice Cream Sandwich as well.

Phew. I thought it was a defect on my phone. lol
Now I wonder why google has failed to fixed in JB 4.1.1 (considering that the same line existed in ICS)?
Judging by the image page_hover_left_holo.9, it was done on purpose. If it still bugs ya go bother google.
good day.
I shouldn't have come to this thread..........

So its not a defect after all.
I would say it's a mistake rather than done on purpose. What could the purpose be if there is one?
Well lets just hope that google fixes it, or at least the cm10 team.

How to use selection arrows at the edges of the screen

Also, how do you stop Android from ending the selection for you when you haven't finishes making toilet selection? Is there a trick like wiggling your finger twice to the left there times to the right to get the arrow to make it to the edge of the line at the end of the screen? Is there a 3rd party app to substitute this crap built into Android? It's not very finger friendly. What do you guys do? Thanks

Anyone sled use the Android tapatalk app for this forum? If so, have you found you cannot click on and edit/modify your post anymore? Or is it just my phone? Like my last post is empty. I wanted to either add something to it or delete it. Is there anything that works or are we just a bunch of impatient satisfaction hungry slurs that demand solutions to desired right now before you have time to make something properly functional? Excuse me. I don't know how many times I day working on my computer/phone I run into some design flaw in some program that slows me down. I would ha e just stick working with the mobile browsers had I known how crappy these forum apps would be. Hey look all cute and thumb ready with their widgets on your screen but really suck.

You try typing that and then selecting the first letter, but no cheating, select "select word" not "select all"

[Q] ICS Buttons For Note 2

The note 2 is awesome.. ok with that said, do you guys know of a program that will give me ics buttons? I could defintely use a back button thats right by my thumb. Those software buttons would be very handy. Im talkin gabout just the ics back home, multitask buttons Thanks
ps. also as a gs1 user, im used to softly pressing the home, which I tend to do on my note 2 thinking it's software lol. i actually prefer light touches but appreciate the hw button as well
I tried a popular button software from the app store but it was pixelated. (dont remembe rthe name but it was the most popular one with where you pull the ics menu from the left or right side of the screen.) id even pay for it if someone made one thats super clean just like the real thing.
