Yes. All kernels that work with 4.0.3 will work with any 4.0.3 ROMs.

Great kernel and video to explain your philosophy!
This is the first kernel that has been able to run n64oid on my device. Thank you, and a million times thank you! Set the cpu governor to performance and I went from not being able to play Mariokart at all to having smooth performance with only a couple of times when the music cut out. This is a HUGE improvement over the other "high performance" kernels.
I like your style, Lou!

Is there a write up or break down of which setting is good for what? I'm a little confused by all the choices in the settings. A little help with an explanation would be much appreciated.
Thanks
N/M got it....thanks Lou. Exactly what I was looking for in a kernel.

Yes, just as you would a rom remember to wipe dalvik cache.

Spoke to soon. I lost my network in the supermarket. I could still make calls but I got this message about my network. The bars went grey also. I am using this with aokp_toro_build-MILESTONE-1 ROM

I just lost data as well currently on wifi I think we have another big red fail.

How do I get stock 3.0.8-gaaa2611 android-build back until I can try again. Do you have source for that?

There's nothing wrong with the kernel currently 3g/4g is down on LTE devices confirmed via droidlife.

so it's down again? This is not good!

Ironic that the biggest feather in vzw's hat was their rock solid network even though they had crappy phones they still won customers now they have awesome phones and a suck data network.

Are you serious. I've been waiting months for a 2ghz kernel to be released. That's clocked the same as my laptop. Gunna give this a try for sure and see how it goes
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I couldn't get my phone past 1.9 GHz without my phone freezing. Overall, this has been a great kernel so far and I'm really looking forward to see how it does on battery life. I think I may have found my new kernel of choice.
Dam my phone froze at 2ghz realty pissed me off but at 1.2ghz got 2400 so if I keep trying I'm sure I can get at least 3400
*EDIT* I actually think 4000 might be a possibility with this kernel. Here are my results at 1.6ghz

4.0.2 was a last minute addition so it missed the ultimate version window. it will be added for the next version. there is a new beta out

Thanks. I like the way you explain things versus just saying here's your new kernel. I have a few questions.
1. Does wiping cache mean I loose data?
2. What do you mean it has a governor built in so profiles are redundant. Does that mean it underclocks itself with screen off etc automatically?
3. Is the kernel undervolted to get more battery life? That's my main need for a kernel.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I couldn't edit my above post so I wanted to clarify my question about the built in governor. Basically I'm asking does this kernel not need setcpu at all? Do I need anything special to over clock the gpu or is all this sort of automatic with the kernel?

1. wiping cache does not erase data. so it is safe to do so.
2. depending on the version you installed. for 006/7 I recommend either interactive or my ondemand two phase governor if you want performance and battery life. for my latest 008 beta I highly recommend my tuned ondemand two phase governor because it will automatically disable 2nd core based on screen on/off for additional savings. in either cases, profiles are not needed for my kernels.
3. my kernels have been pre uv'ed for all three chip components cpu/core/Iva so no need for user under volt.

gpu overclocking is only available for 4.0.3 ultimate version. 4.0.2 was a last minute addition so it missed the window for ultimate version. I will add it to 008 release versions once beta phase is over.

thanks trying out now! My main hope is for more battery life closer to my Galaxy S II any other benefits are icing on the cake. Can anyone confirm better or worse battery life than stock kernel?

[ROM][MIUI V4.0][UPDATED 3-18-12] BRAINMASTER's MIUI ICS 2.3.16 FOR NS4G

Hello everyone! This is a port of Brainmaster's MIUI ICS ROM
He has released an update on Twitter for MIUI ICS and I ported it to our devices
ROM FEATURES
-MIUI V4.0 (ICS)
-Brainmaster's tweaks (build.prop/boot.img/init.d tweaks)
-More info coming when Brainmaster lets me know more specifically what the tweaks are, but for anyone who has ran his ROMs before, you know he does a great job
-Some data apps pre installed

WHATS NOT WORKING
-4G (don't ask for an ETA on this, when it gets worked out I will let you know)
Tips
-Re sync Google account a few minutes after initial set up to ensure everything sets up correctly
-Run GPS Status app and download A-GPS data under Tools>Manage A-GPS
-If all of your photos/media don't show up download "Rescan Media" and run it
-If you decide to flash Matr1x Kernel, delete the init.d folder inside his zip to prevent issues. The scripts in the kernel may conflict with brainmaster's scripts
DOWNLOADS
2.3.16_MIUI_BRAINMASTER_NEXUS_S4G.zip
HOW TO INSTALL
-Download all of the zips in the DOWNLOADS section
-Wipe cache/data/system/boot
-Flash MIUI_BRAINMASTER_NEXUS_S_4G
-Flash ICS kernel (OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED)
-Reboot into system
-Enjoy!

*Note
This is the RC version of the ROM, testing was done privately for the beta versions. As far as I know, there are no known bugs at this time, but if you should find something, please let me know. Also, due to framework & build.prop mods, you will see a "Not Official Joy OS" popup from time to time, nothing to worry about. I did this just to have something new to flash & play with, hope you enjoy it, thanks.
Thank you sir!!!! Downloading now.
Really cool rom. I can't get data working tho. I couldn't find an option for 4g so I couldn't check that. No 3g at all tho. Keeps saying no data connection. Other than that, really snappy, the icons are real cool, and its a great change from ics. Thanks for this. Btw. I tried to reboot, wiped cache and dalvik again, and no luck w the data.

[Kernel][Apr 26] Perseus

This is a direct port of my kernel on the international I9300 Galaxy S3 and sidekick to the international N7100/5 Note 2 kernels.
Recap of features:
CPU overclocking up to 1.8GHz and undervolting from 600mV to 1400mV.
GPU overclocking and undervolting.
GPU scaling reworked.
Screen sharpness and colour modifications.
Extended Pegasusq and improved Performance governors.
Removed Touch Booster and replaced with custom Flexrate mechanic.
Improved scheduler power management for improved idle residencies on auxiliary CPUs.
USB charging rate limit increased to 900mA.
This is supposed to be merely a proxy thread. Please refer to the N7100/5 thread for full changelogs, explanations, bug-reports and other issues. Kernel for specific device versions will be posted here.
This kernel is for the North American T-Mobile variant SCH-T889. Versions for other variants are found in their respective forums.

Agreed.Performance is Already Screaming fast in MY Opinion, and to reach even more battery life would be cool And Something I an personally interested in. Please let Us know if this increases battery life even more so than Stock, I really don't care about Overlooking at all. SO FAST already!
Perseus are custom and Kennel T889 are stock ? Thank for support us.

No, because they're useless. If you want to change the scaling logics then pegasusq has all the variable knobs configurable to tweak or emulate other governors at disposition.
I'd also prefer if people stop posting Quadrant scores as it's a completely outdated and non representative benchmark.
This kernel seems pretty solid....flashed on Xquizit v2 and running great....
running good thanks first screen shot(left) is you kernel. 2nd without. its at the bottom from spot 2729 to 789 id call that great improvement .
