My Galaxy Nexus got a straight line from top to bottom trough the screen.
Its like a whole line of leds dont work properly.
On black, its a green line, on grey its a white line, on blue its a blue line, but i can still see it.
Ive been verry carefull with this device, never dropped it or annything so it will be a warrenty thing, but it sucks..
The store where i bought it is checking if it can be swapped with a new one... Else i have to use one of my old phones and wait 1 till 3 weeks until samsung repairs it... (comin from a Gnexus everything is a big step back)
Does annybody else hade the same problem and what can it be??
Just a bad screen, they'll fix it or replace it

My wife's Nexus has the EXACT same issue. It's a pretty thick green line going from top to bottom. Going to Verizon to swap it as we speak. She had dropped her phone but the screen was fine right afterwards but shortly after the line appeared. Not sure if it's related but gonna get this sucker swapped ASAP.

Hi, I have my Defy for about a month and just now noticed 2 tiny stuck pixels of green/blue colour. They are actually visible only on black screen and in normal usage you can only find them if you know where they are, otherwise it only looks like a tiny particle of dust.
Since I only noticed it now it's too late for me to send it back
Have tried different software solutions and ran them over some nights, but nothing helped. So it seems they are permanent. I'm still on stock firwmare and havent flashed it yet.
It's sort of psychological thing... personally, I find it frustrating and it pisses me off because I know the problem is there and I have paid the full price for the phone to be perfect.
I was wondering how many of you experienced this and is there any chance that motorola would cover this problem under warrianty (in EU)?
My first Defy got a stuck pixel within the first week of me owning it. I phoned T-Mo and they sent me a replacement the next day. Before I did that though, I asked a T-Mo employee in one of their shops about it. He told me that if I couldn't get it sorted over the phone, to come back into the shop and they would help me get it replaced under warranty.
I don't really know how it all works but that was just my situation - hopefully it's of some use.
My defy that I just sold had two dead white pixels. One in the middle of the screen and one about the height of the volume rocker. Only visible on black screen though.

I've searched threads here and most of them talk about pink spots on the camera. I just bought a new T-Mo GS3, i rooted it, and then installed a stock rooted rom from here.
I don't know if it was like this out of the box, but i went on dropbox and the app is mostly white, so on the top of the screen there is like a pink spot. It's mostly visible when the phones on an app or something thats white but even when its not, its still there, just less visible. Is this a defective unit or something? :/
it's a defective unit. If you're in the exchange period take it back. This is my second white one. The first had a pink blob in the lower right hand corner you could only see on a white web page

The first thing I did with my S3 was checking the screen. My first blue one has a pink tilted screen so I exchanged it. the screen is the most important so yeah. you should exchange it asap
Damn. I bought it on ebay, no refunds. Can i just replace the screen?
I'd contact Samsung. Physical (hardware) defects are still under warranty. Should be for at least a year

Hi all. Got my Note 2 and loving it. Got a question though. My screen is slightly off center with the bezel to the right just a bit. Theres more "black" space where the screen live pixel end in the left then the right. I know no phone is perfect and dont want to exchange and get one with bigger problem. You guys have same issue? Might be different side of bezel. Want to know if its a normal accurance. Thanks.

My screen is slightly off center to the right as well. Once you notice it you can't unsee it.
Sorry to hear of your dilemma. Mine doesn't do that. If it were me, I'd make them give you a new one. When you're paying 600-800 for a phone it'd better be perfect. Imo

Well, I did an exchange for a different reason, and yes, the new one has the same alignment issue too. Not as bad as the first one I had. After checking the stores display of different Note 2, they all had same screen alignment issue. Some more visible then others. Not a big deal to me with my new one. On another completely different thing, I find it kind of misleading that when you see the pic ad in Samsungs Note 2 site, you see the feather image covering the whole screen, not showing any dead pixels on the sides. Yes, $600-800 is a lot of money but there is not 1 device out there that is perfect. Either squeaky back or power button, blueish screen, loose buttons, speaker cracking,.... All have something.
Of course, if problem is really bad, exchange for new one. But as of now, I love the Note 2.

oh yes very common on Samsung 1st batch's but not talked about much.
My Sprint versions had off center so I swapped out second was perfect - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33473143#post33473143
From there I left 7 years of Sprint misery joined ATT
First ATT was perfect.
Second was pushed left with menu key backlight transparency jagged.
Third - my current has perfect center & menu key.
I bought my s3 yesterday. and Last night going to bed I have to play with again. I noticed when I have all the brightest low I could see a lot of black dots on the screen and a lot of black lines on the bottom of the screen. Is it just mine or your is too? Again I had my lights off and put the brightest all the way down on the screen. Then try on your phone to get a black picture and you will see. I took a screenshot of it but I can only see these black stuff with low bright. If this is just me I may have to return this baby
Common issue with this phone. Also on the s2

I also have the s2 and never noticed it
It's a common flaw with super amoled screens I believe
Here's a another thread on it

Its normal with most of the AMOLED screens. Doesn't really affect general useage unless you have OCD or something

i must be blind because i havent seen any defects on my s3. when i had the s2, there were a ton of blotches over the whole screen
No dots here

Yeah I noticed about the other thread. I got my phone yesterday and noticed it when I was in bed playing with it. I have the s2 t989 as well and that doesnt have the defect. I understand some of the old s2 have some defect on the screen color but this one is different. It looks like the digitizer was cracked. At the bottom it looks like a signature a bunch of black line and a lot of dots on the screen. Though when I put the brightest a little bit brighter its gone. It doesnt bother me. But This phone is new and it should not have any defect.
Common defect nbd. Not even close to how awful the backlight bleed was on my iPad 2 before I got it replaced.
I do Have the same issue but i'm not sure if goingto change my phone is under warranty!

known issue. However, my S3 doesn't have any or at least it is much much better than 2 my previous ones. (yes, I know how to check it and Im very picky; Im that kind of guy that goes to the closet to check the screen right after unboxing it). I didn't exchange my phone for this issue. i just happen to get a non-black dot one. Exchange it if you feel so. doesn't affect much tho.
This is on all OLEDs even mine, it is not defect and will not disrupt colors or brightness since they are visible only in pitch black, I don't even think they would replace your phone because of that

I don't have any either... altho my keyboard did get burnt into my screen from all the usage. I will warranty exchange when it gets closer to a year of owning it... my biggest defect is the sticking of volume down rocker

I dont know if my eyes are just completely bugging out or if what im seeing is true. I got my replacement note 7 yesterday and everything went well but then i saw a red/pink tint towards the bottom of the screen i started to freak out but decided that i would let it fly til Monday or so hoping that its just glue or something drying up. Its more noticeable when the screen is on a full white screen or if the bottom/edge part of the screen is white but other than that you can't see it at all.

Sounds like a display issue. My Note 4 had half the screen streaked/covered with a similar color. It was really similar to what the blue-light filter looks like when turned about half way up actually. But it was only on about half the display, and in streaks so was more of a bother because it wasn't the entire screen. I honestly only really noticed it when I was reading my kindle app on my phone with the lights turned off, otherwise it really wasn't very noticeable in normal lighting conditions. Upon reading about this on google this can happen to these kinds of displays that Samsung uses. Might be something to send the phone back for a replacement. I'd really have to see a pic to know enough to know for sure though.
Sounds like a defect. Bound to be a few. Try massaging that area of the screen fairly hard and see if there is any change.

I had that issue on my silver Note 7 and opt to exchange it (after many rounds of persuasion and complaints with at least 3 Samsung technicians). Some see it, some don't. This happened right before the recall.
Thought it was only a random unit of mine, but since you also raised this issue, could be more widespread. FYI, my unit was international version. Also same pinkish hue at the bottom. My replacement unit (before the recall) did not have this issue.
My note 7 recall replacement is not here yet (Samsung announced our replacement only available officially on 29 Sept in my country). I too hope my recalled-replacement will not have the pink hue at the bottom of the screen.
