OK I have somehow a "weird" case request. I hate using my phone in a case so what I am looking for is a carrying case I could remove it from before using it.
I am currently using a TomTom navigator 5 inch screen case and it is working fine (I removed all magnetic devices from it) but I am looking for something with compartment i could use to include the usb cable etc...
I don't mind a bit bigger size.
anyone uses something similar ?
What about a carrying case that you get for a 2.5" external HDD.. The GN is almost exactly the same size.

I picked up one of these:
http://www.caselogic.com/gps_case_5...il/index.cfm?modelid=138047&productid=1357931
It has 2 seperate compartments: a very soft padded one for your electronic device, and another for miscellaneous things like cables. I have a Nilkin case on my Note, and it still fits well along with a OTG cable and an SD card reader.
Thanks guys !
Evo it looks pretty much what I need! You are using it? any pictures ?
Here, I snapped a few pics.

I am using the neoprene case that came with my original PSP while waiting for my proper case to arrive. Fits very well suprisingly.

My Xoom came with a Cyber Acoustics leather case. It has a lot of advantages, is very well made, but I would like something that simply protects the case and allows me to use the HD audio dock, without removing it. Access to all the ports and the power button is an obvious "must have". Grippy back surface would be a plus. I was looking at the Body Glove Phantom, but they don't seem to be available any more. Does anyone have a recommendation?
I have an Incipio shell. Works very well.
I went to look at the Incipio cases. They have at least 3 made for the xoom. One described as the kickstand case, one called feather ultralight hardshell, and one called Silicrylic. It never can be easy can it?
Heh. I have the red Featherlight.
If less is more, there is always the gel case. All ports (apart from SD card slot I think) are open.

Thanks Kenny,
I bought the featherlight and it's just what i was looking for...well made, secure fit, not cluttered with features that just add bulk.

Yeah, I must have bought 5 or 6 Xoom cases in the time I've had it, and this one is the one I've settled with (I'd better buy a spare while I still can, come to think of it).
What I use when carrying it around is this case, which has a pouch that I keep a small BT keyboard in, as well as my USB OTG cable and a cleaning cloth.

Yust use the gel case
Hi all - I'm eagerly awaiting my HTC One from Costco, and it appears as if it comes with a bundled accessory pack. However, the photo on the Costco website leaves a lot to be desired - I'll be posting details once I get it, but if anyone else wants to jump-start the thread, that would satisfy my curiosity...

Looks like pretty generic essentials from the the pic. Nothing to be overly excited for.

They give you a nice case. Looks and feels exactly like Diztronic. Mine came in smoke color (I got it in store). Also a car charger that doubles as an in wall charger. Some screen protector which I haven't tried. And lastly, a big ass case to put everything in.

Yeah I was surprised at how nice the case actually was, I switch between it and the cruzerlite case I have

Suprisingly the case is pretty slim and looks sturdy , I really like it . Thats the only case i use. Screen protector is very generic though its not even cut to size you have to manually cut it , A generic car charger is included too .
I just ordered one of these universal clip style mounts. I get my N5 tomorrow and the mount on Tuesday. I'll let you guys know how well it works.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EYNRJOE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Update: Here's an overview of the mount and my thoughts:
My first impressions are good. Good enough that, for about 11 dollars, I ordered a second one just now.
It mounts to smooth surfaces via a very grippy suction cup. It has some sort of sticky coating on the rubber. Once it's stuck it's not going to come off very easily. The phone itself is held by a giant spring-loaded clip, which has a nice amount of tension.
(excuse the quality of my GNex camera )

All the ports and buttons are still accessible while mounted.
I'm using it in conjunction with a Spigen Slim Armor case. The angled edges of the case fit the clamp very nicely.
There's a swiveling ball-joint on the back that lets you position it how you please. You can even tilt it far enough so you can use the camera without it being blocked.
How it looks in landscape
Overall, it's a pretty good mount for the price. It is all plastic, though. So it might wear out or break over time, but it's so cheap that replacing it won't be a big deal. As a cheap universal mount, I recommend it. :good:
Them type thing I found wobble around a lot, hope it OK for you though

Here's hoping.
It was cheap enough to give it a try.
I received the mount today. Just updated my original post with a quick review.
Hey guys... so, I moved from the DNA to the HTC one about 3 months ago... Sort of have mixed feelings about the phone... Not a fan of the camera.. but MOSTLY REALLY miss my wireless charging...
SO, I decided to do something about that...
ANYWAY, im looking for anyone out there who might have a lead on REALLY shallow Micro USB connectors.
My current set is using a bunch of parts found on eBay.
USB Micro is about 1cm long (i need it about half that or less so it doesnt stick out from the case.
Im using a ULAK case (Somewhat bulky rubber/hard plastic... but it hides the Energizer/Blackberry Qi receiver fairly well)
And lastly, im using an old Energizer Qi receiver pad I had lying around.
I am happy to upload pics on how I accomplished this (it's actually relatively easy) and I am waiting on some S3 Qi pads to come in as theyre about half the thickness of the blackberry one Im using...
Anyway, if there's interest... id be happy to build some prototypes for people to try out.
I'd love to try it out.

I looked around for a bit and found this Chinese elbow connector.

If it's too thick, you could buy a cheap connector and remove the plastic. It looks like it could be flexible enough.
Wish I could simply stick the one processor in the dna. It has definitely been my favorite device.
I'm looking for a thin lightweight stand for my Nexus 7 for use on a train, ideally, something that fits easily in a pocket.
I have an Anker stand for home use, but it's a bit thick and heavy for travel.
I've also looked at cases, things like the Poetic or Moko don't seem stable or sturdy enough and add too much weight and size.
What do you recommend?
Look up Square Jellyfish on amazon. Works very good, small and light weight.
Just noticed the nexus 7 is much bigger than the average phone. But still give them a try.

Both of those stands seem less pocketable than my Anker stand

I was hoping for something smaller and lighter weight.
How about this one? Fits in a wallet easily size of credit card. Saw one on Incipio. My droid case didn't include one and I asked them how to get one and they sent me it free.

Nice little kickstand, but it seems one can't order just that, only a set that includes it?
