Upgrade to what phone?

So I got an upgrade that will go away in 4 days I got an EVO but my wife got a Samsung moment, she likes keyboard and the smaller size but doesn't like the shift 4G , what phone you guys think I should upgrade her to? I like the EVO community and that's why I asked here so hopefully you guys can help me, btw she likes the palm pre but I don't think is available anymore

Evo shift is pribly the best choice. Epic 4g.. not recommended but oh well. do pre orders count?

That's what I told her the shift, she doesn't care about upgrade but I think she deserves a better phone and the arrive has a nice keyboard but Idk about w7

I wouldn't go with windows 7...I'd take an evo shift over that. I think the shift is your bets option personally.

The only other thing I would think to do is get an EVO and sell it for 400$ I would get 200$ back lol ( but Idk sign a contract for that ?

She hates big phones the LG phone doesn't convince me tho and there is one the looks like a small Sammy epic but I'm not sure I ma go with her maybe I convince her, she doesn't care about specs as long as it has a nice facebook app and it doesn't get stuck in screens lol

Evo or the shift I dunno about anything else other then that most phones now dont have keyboards besides shift or epic i love my evo and wouldnt trade it in evo for that new 3d evo there coming out with.

I saw this phone is Samsung ffc and 3 MP camera in the back but has sprint but not even closed to HTC EVO or iPhone 3GS screen, it has a keyboard tho, what you guys think?

Just wondering here. Why would your upgrade expire? I always upgrade quickly but my girls upgrade was Feb. I told her to wait for the nexus s. She agreed. Its a little more suited for a girl compared to my evo. No offense to anyone. I would get it if I wasn't drooling over the 3d. Anyway, is there a time limit on upgrades? Will she lose it if she waits?

She end up getting a Samsung epic 4g pictures, text messanging, facebook and calls is all she cares so I think is a good option. We actually got 36$ for the moment lmao

Lol if your wife has small hands i can understand y she is picky about keyboards. you know you can always get a phone and there is that thing they have were if you dont like it send it back and swap out for another phone.,

my epic touch works better than any sprint phone ive had aside from my blackberry tour. works fine in my apartment, wheres my evo worked so so..and the 3d barely worked at all.
simple solution, if it dont work for you, take it back. issue resolved instead of a posting some **** like this

I live in a cave in Afghanistan and no problems here..

In my bathroom...with all my other phones I would get 0-1 bar for signal...with this I get 3-4.
Downtown on any other phone I would get 2-3 bars at my job, with this phone I never drop below 4 bars. This phone is hype.

i had a samsung moment since launch day....yes that phone was beyond horrid, and made me swear off samsung... epic touch has been a huge improvement and brought me back

Seriously, while I do agree that Sprint can improve on some of its coverage I do have to say this phone the Epic 4G Touch is da bombzzzz
I absolutely love this phone. While I do not get 4G in my hometown the phone has been working awsome and I have not missed a call or text. All of it works great and if and when we do get 4G here then that's just icing on the cake on top of a already scrumptious German chocolate triple decker cake.

Have to agree on that you form an opinion on a less par phone (moment). I have to say I'm some what of a phone whore and seem to change phones like underwear, but the e4gt is by far the best I've owned in a while. Sprints service could be better and were not even gonna talk about their customer service, but this phone is good enough for me to just live with crappy service in my area and live with the airave that their sending me.
Sometimes I think people post things like this because they want to get flamed.

Well, I guess you can say I sold out. Lol. I just upgraded my phone and gave Apple a chance. I'm coming from a Epic 4G Touch so the next few days should be interesting. Figured I'd let y'all know that for the time being I jumped ship.....

I didn't. I just never used my upgrade so I figured I would try the iPhone out. Besides, my wife wanted my Epic 4G and I didn't want to get another one so why not?

I did the same thing... grass was always greener.. or so I thought.. after a couple days with the iphone 4(not 4s) I picked my Epic touch back up and immediately logged back onto my sprint account and switched ESN's back. I think 2 years ago I may have stayed with the iphone.. but other than wishing I could play Army of Darkness tower defense I wont think about an iphone again. I used to have Iphone envy for the most part because of the smoothness of the operation and lots of apps I wish I coulda had, but at this point we have superior hardware and similar software plus more customization.

To the OP, good luck, but I'd put money down that a time will come, possibly soon, that you're going to regret your decision. My wife has a 4S. It's perfect for her, but she needs an operating ecosystem that is seamlessly laid out for her. If you like the openness of Android, and if you like to tinker and try new things, you're going to be bored out of your mind before long.

I pulled out my Pre yesterday to charge up and give to my son as his first smartphone (he's 11, and I figure he can get used to having a phone with the Pre vs. the Photon I also have sitting around). I gotta say: the Pre felt TINY after holding onto my E4GT. I mean, TINY. And it LOOKS tiny, too. It's like a toy phone.

I almost went with the Apple iPhone 4S too. The only reason I didn't was due to the screen size. I like the 4 plus inch screens.
I've never had an iPhone, I've played with them plenty at work and I wouldn't mind giving one a try but until they come out with something 4 to 4.5 inches, I'm holding off.
Siri is damn cool. Those Siri wanna be apps we have just don't work very well.

Please let us know what you think of the iPhone. I personally would very much appreciate an objective opinion. My wife is about to upgrade and we're considering the iPhone vs the epic touch.

Personal preference. If I were u, I would def pick something that has android. That's if you want to customize things and have fun. Or u could go with boring and get an iPhone. Not trying to bash on iPhone but it gets boring. IMO.

definitely a phone with android. i would say samgsung galaxy s2! the display is nutty. otherwise probably iPhone. I'm big on display and don't like the htc displays much.

HTC phones often come with two different displays. If you end up with the "good" one it's a different story.

I have the Evo 4g with I well never give up. Was looking and saw the screens are not expesive if you want to replace it. I had the Ipad. I would never ever ever go back to Apple, now using Android. Mean ever. ha.. that is the first time I said that.. But I really mean it..

I would get the HTC. I've had the epic 4g, and Samsung has to many issues. I have the 3d now and the wife has the original evo. I just think HTC for now makes the better phone.

Honestly if your staying on sprint, you can get the screen fixed at the mall, at some of those lil kiosks, u can also do it urself if ur a lil tech savy...
Basically I would figure something out till sprint comes out w/ 4G LTE...

It all comes down to what your going to use your phone for. If you like to flash roms and customize your phone hard core, then stick with Android. If your using your phone for basic use, text, email and Facebook then go with iPhone. Keep in mind that iPhone does not support flash and never will unless you jailbreak it.

I am very happy with this phone

Today being Christmas I am thankful for this smartphone. Yeah there is always something better coming around the corner, but not to be greedy lets be happy with this awesome device.
Being rooted with a great ROM and cool ICS theme this phone is warp speed fast, with great battery life, and looks so damn cool.
Even compared to my buddies new Nexus, I honestly like this phone a bit better, for numerous reasons.

The thing I am so amazed at, is how far Android has come along in such a short time.
My first Android was the MyTouch 3G, which was very clunky and choppy, and just a couple years later I am holding this awesome Galaxy SII with 4.5" AMOLED screen that is razor thin and very lightweight.
Wow Android has come a long long way compared to those first year devices.

Android has come along way. My first Droid being the G1 on TMobile.
My cousin who still has a MyTouch 3G Fender, and man compared to this GSII you can see the night and day difference. His even has the old Android market... SMH...

Ahhh the wizard, that was my pocket computer.

This is truly an amazing machine. soo silky smooth and lightning fast. great battery life. Super amoled screen.... its only proof that we are back on schedule in reaching the Jetsons soon.

Yep somehow it ran wm6.5 faster yhan wm 5. I almost bought a tilt but waited awhile and got mytouch 3g. Wizard was built like a tank though look at how much bigger screens got.

Definitely a great phone. Cant wait for what the future of android and the galaxy line holds. But a family member had his Nexus and I feel so much better. I already knew it was not worth jumping through hoops to get. But now I have no jealousy at all. Only things it has is ICS in pure form. It also feels a bit more solid.

My brother recently got an iPhone 4S and I got to play with it for a bit, and it made me really appreciate the GS2 that I have so much more. It's an amazing phone and I'm perfectly happy with the phone I have, finally.

I'm very happy with this phone. I haven't even rooted it yet and I'm not sure I have a reason to. Yet? lol
My only gripe is the slipperyness of the back cover. I have a case on order so I hope that will help it.
