I can't find the sim toolkit app for my arc. but i looked up on my installed apps. the Sim Toolkit is listed there.
Which version of acronium do you use?
Try to replace the Stk.apk in /system/app, change permissions, and reboot.
I found the problem. My stupidity because my current sim does not support the sim toolkit. When i changed it, it finally worked hahaha. Thanks though

I used the ATT google wallet method and followed/flashed appropriate files, but I still keep getting add card failed sign. I tried wiping dalvic and cache as posted on OP, but it doesn't do the trick. Is there a fix to this? Would full wiping and reflashing rom do the trick?I'm currently using Ariel rom. Thanks in advance

I guess a lot of people are experiencing the problem. Would there be something wrong with the Google server?

Did you edit build.prop before trying to add the card?
Double check the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769083

Had this problem on my Galaxy Nexus after an update. Nothing I did was able to fix it (reset wallet, reinstall, install modded apk, nandroid to working backup, change build.prop, change android ID, etc). I called up Google Wallet support 5 weeks ago and they haven't helped at all.
The only solution was to get a new phone. Probably not what you want to hear, but that's what I did. I still have the old phone and check it periodically, but I always get the "Add card failed" error on it.

Gregcloak42 is correct, you have to add the credit cards before putting the build.prop to back to the original settings. In my situation I had to change my settings from Galaxy Nexus to htc_jewels because I tried to add the cards after the build.prop to the original settings. Switching to the different name allowed me to add my cards.
The OP in the Google wallet thread SPECIFICALLY says you have to add the cards via desktop first. A workaround for this is to use the card you want to add on the play store. Then follow the directions again, and it should work.

Same issue here! My build.prop is correct, I've added the cards on desktop with browser etc.
Any other idea?

I had issues with mine, so when task released the 1/4 build, I wiped the system partition and started over. Fixed it right up.

I had this issue after I upgraded SynergyROM on my GS3 and forgot to wipe gwallet before flashing.
Wiping system, data, and all the other folders prior to factory reset and re-flash of the new ROM fixed it. Thanks!
The latest version of Wallet may not like your phone. I would try installing the last version to see if that will work for you. Also, obviously ensure that you don't revert your build.prop back to stock until you successfully add the cards. I can confirm latest version works flawlessly on Task's AOKP ROM.
Hi guys! I tried to install the trinity kernel and the phone would barely boot. I tried the back up I had made and all of them more say my SIM card is damaged. It's asks to format but I'll lose all my stuff on the card. I can go into file explorer and access all the stuff. Anyone know what happened it how to fix it?

Hey guys, as the title says, when I type *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu, it doesn't work. (the code just vanishes actually)
As for some background info, I have a r800a, and this issue started after I flashed the NXT rom. I tried searching the forums first, but couldn't find any solutions. Any help?
Thanks in advance.
There must be ServiceMenu.apk in /system/app to be able to use that feature. If you have other GB rom in PC, you can extract it and install it as system app. I know AuroraPlay rom have it, i'm not sure for others...

Thanks for the help! That's exactly the problem. I went ahead and did as you said and it worked like a charm.
For other people who might have the same problem, I have uploaded the servicemenu.apk with this post, and the entire app folder as a link for it is too big for xdadevelopers. I extracted these apps from the R800_4.0.2.A.0.79 ftf file, which is for the r800a model. I'm not sure if these apks are interchangeable so use at your own risk.

I accidentally deleted my settings application (i converted it to user app by using rom toolbox and it disappeared). I have no backups so i was looking for someone who could extract a new "Settings.apk" compatible with my device and firmware version so that i could reinstall it. Thanks in advance to everyone!

Isn't there a way to just install the settings.apk without having to reflash the whole rom?

have you look into your root folder then data/app to find setting.apk, or use titanium backup to convert back to system app
Yes, as i said in the first post i have no backup and the system/app folder doesn't contain any settings.apk. It disappeared completely. I also looked for it on the web but no one seems to have uploaded it online. This is the reason why I have posted here.
Please can anybody help me? I can't believe no one has got this phone here on xda..

If nobody can help you. Try it yourself. Download the firmware and find a way to extract the files. (can be done, cuz the phone can too)
Hi, I have linked the SecSettings.apk from stock 4.1.2 xxlsw.

Thank you very much! But i'm not missing "SecSettings.apk" i miss "Settings.apk". Don't you have one in your root folder?
There is no Settings.apk in any folders. Is your ROM definitely Stock Samsung 4.1.2?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I looked for SecSettings in my folder and i think i confused it with SecSettingsprovider..so maybe the settings app is just called secsettings (unlike many other phones) i'll try to install your apk!
I downloaded your application and it seems to be what I was looking for! But I can't install it in way! How do I install it?
Use a root explorer and copy it to /System/app and set permissions in the usual manner
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I moved the apk to system/app and set the permissions, then rebooted, but it seems that it doesn't work. I tried in many ways. I installed it from rom toolbox, from root explorer, from "system app installer", but despite every operation and installation gives me a succes message as response, nothing happens. There is the file in system app, but every attempt to open the settings fails with a force close and there is no icon in my app drawer.
Do you have the secsettings.odex in your /system/app?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No I don't have any SecSettings.odex, I only have apk, even after the reboot.
Copy both the SecSettings.apk from the previous link and the SecSettings.odex from this link, set permissions and reboot again.

It didn't work. I used every combination on this world for the permissions before rebooting (including rw-r--r-- and also rwxrwxrwx) but nothing happens, the app doesn't result to be installed. (I attached a screenshot of my file manager showing that the files actually are in the root folder)
Hmm.. I'm stumped then. I can only suggest you reflash your firmware

I just read on google news that a new update is starting to roll out for the s2..do you think updating will solve the problem? Either by using OTA (if it still works without settings) or kies..
I love Paranoid Android but I can't use banking apps for payment etc. without Sim Toolkit working.
Is there a reason it is not included with PA? Can I get it working?
I was using 6.0.1 on Nexus 4 before I changed ROM as I had to have Sim Toolkit.
Is there some reason you aren't running the latest version?

I actually had to change ROMs before 6.0.2 was built since using banking apps is essential to me. Not sure why I wrote "currently on 6.0.1". Updated original post.
But I looked at 6.0.2 "patch notes" and my problem is not mentioned though.
I flashed PA 6.0.3 today to test again. Still does not work. Sim Toolkit app is not there. Only flashed PA and Google Apps (pico).
Is there any tips on what to do?

I tried installing the Stk.apk which Fake Nexus ROM uses since Sim Toolkit worked when I used that ROM. Installing directly from phone makes it just say "app not installed".
I also tried moving Stk.apk into a folder /system/app/Stk. I also checked that the permissions were correct. Then I rebooted.
None of these worked.
Any other suggestions?
