Have you tried CM7 KANG?
It worked great for me.
Also, how are you downloading?
If you use ROM Manager it checks the MD5 sum automatically.
If you download to the phone, you need to check the MD5 on the phone.
Also check the SU bianaries. Make sure they are up to date.
Have you tried a re flash or a fresh download?
I re flashed once and rebooted twice and the problem persisted. You suggested to reflash and my problem was solved. Thank you for your help.

its a zip file and i tried to go thru the manager like i did my elite hd theme but it didnt work..
Older miui version have issues with theme manager. I tried 3 and worked only on one of them (beleive last pne but not sure). Theme must be .tmz or .tzm -,not zip and does NOT install with flashing like sense.

i got it to work.....I appreciate the help!!
Just for future reference, it never hurts to clear your cache or dalvik. I do it whenever I flash anything...or sometimes just because it's been a month since I have rebooted.
is there any benefit to clearing your cache or dalvik after deleting anything from the sdcard?
or should this be done regularly?
Just curious.
Thanks.

Here's the way I think of it...some flashable things require it (and usually say somewhere), but you don't HAVE to do it if your phone is operating normal, and your not flashing anything...BUT, it never hurts to...and the rest is me just being anal.
New to XDA, first post ever. Has anyone tried the new Kingdom Sensless 3d release and if so can you tell me if youtube is working as well as 720p video recording? Tried to post this in the developer section under the proper thread but it wouldnt let me since im new. Would love to know overall thoughts on this release as well. Thank you!
Sent from my Incredible using XDA Premium App
I believe YouTube works with a workaround (wifi has to be on but not necessarily connected), but 720p isn't functional yet.
is my daily driver everything is working fine there is a lag on the 720 but the devs have explained that is do to the fact that they dont have the codes or something to build new kernels.. youtube works just fine... if you haven't try it yet just flash it... you wont regret it..
Sounds good. Thank you. And just to be sure, i boot into recovery, do a factory restore, wipe cache, then install the zip from sd card. Is that the proper method to install this or will that screw up my phone? Thanks again!

Also, i currently have a different sense 3.0 rom installed. Do i have to flash back to the stock rom before i attempt to install a new one or can i flash a new rom over the one i currently have installed? Thanks again peeps!
Sent from my Incredible using XDA Premium App
No you don't go back to stock before flashing, yes go to recovery do factory reset, then go to mounts and storage and wipe boot, system, data, cache go back under advanced & wipe dalvik. Now you can install your ROM

Thanks very much. Interestingly, when i go into recovery it brings me to a clockwork recovery screen where i cant do some of the things u mentioned. I only have the options to do a factory reset and wipe cash. Is that enough? Does it matter what order u do them in? I also noticed that in titanium backup there is an option to delete the dalvic from there. Is that ok to do?

Go into advance in cwm to wipe delvic

Also, you can format system in the mounts and storage menu. The rom's install script should include this, but never hurts to be safe.
Just installed the latest 1.6 Starburst ROM but doesnt seem to work. I am getting force closing of the task bar and and reboot cycling.
I followed the direction with doing factory wipe and clearing cache and dalvik cache first.
Anyone know what the problem is?
Thanks
Yes your problem is if you have a problem with a rom you installed ask the question in the thread for that rom...... That would make sense

Yet guys, I deleted my system music app. Now everytime I try to listen to music i get fc error.
Currently running newest liquid smooth rom.
Is my only solutiom to reflash? Or can I upload that one specific file to make it run properly?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
You'd be fine reflashing as long as you don't wipe first.

So I wont lose all my stuff with just a simple flash over my current? Thank you so much bud
No problem man. As long as you don't wipe anything you should be fine. I don't remember on liquid for sure, but most ROMs don't wipe for you. I know newts usually do, but most won't.
Sent from my Incredible 2 HD using XDA App
You don't have to re-flash if you don't want to. Simply use adb to push your music .apk to /system/app, install, fix permissions and possibly reboot. Done!
For the record, a reflash won't wipe your data.

Unfortunately, that's not always the case. Some devs such as Newt and Capy have built in wipe scripts sometimes.

I recently flashed cm7, works great. The only thing I'm having trouble is with the apps. I can't download the apps I had previously from the market because It says I have them installed already.
So how do I fix this/restore my apps?
thanks
Try and clear data for the market app and see if that works for you.
Erm, how exactly?
If you go into settings and then applications. Find market under all and click clear data.
Part of my problem is that I don't have the market app installed
Did you flash a Gapps package when you flashed your ROM? That will give you Market and other basic Google apps. I believe CM is packaged without an integrated Gapps loadout for legal reasons.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
No I didn't flash Gapps, I just installed market via apk, cleared the data but I can't use the market cause I cannot set up a profile that its asking for.
How would I go about this Gapps package?
There was no data to clear anyways.
About to try this
wipe data+cache
flash cm7
wipe data+cache
flash gapps
If you wiped system, cache, and dalvik cache before you installed CM7, you shouldn't even need to wipe. You'll just reboot into recovery and flash the Gapps .zip just like you flashed your ROM.
As far as finding it, I'd just Google "cm7 Google apps" or "cm7 gapps", you'll find a download link for the .zip. Keep in mind that, unlike the ROM itself, the Gapps package isn't specific to one model phone.

Thanks I'll try flashing gapps
It worked great, now im getting a server error in the market.
Also getting a network error trying to use weather
It broke my internet, completely. 3g and wifi

Which cm7 version are you using?
Sent from my ADR6350 using xda premium
In that case you might want to start from scratch:
Boot into recovery -- nandroid backup -- factory reset -- wipe dalvik cache -- install cm7 -- flash gapps.
And yeah, check to make sure you're using a current stable cm7 build.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
What version of CM7 did you flash?
depending on the version of cm7, i would flash one of aero's kernals
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/7717-kernel-aeroevan-vivow-kernels-for-aosp/
v8 needs to be for 7.2 otherwise, flash .7 version.
7.2 + Aero kernel .8 is an amazing combination. Do that!

7.1.0.1 stable is the version im using.
