Hey everyone. I am on unNamed rom right now and love it. But just wondering if there are any other roms out there like unNamed which allows you to skip songs with the volume keys when screen is off? Thanks for the help.

try Frinky Music Controller on Google Play. Works on both rooted and non rooted phones without draining battery and smartly controls music volume.

Long story short i'd broken my headphones that came with the desire yesterday and i hate having to get the phone out of my pocket to change the song, is there a hack to control it from the physical buttons? It's really getting on my nerves and i think i remember seeing something on it a while ago

Music Mod by Eliot Stocker. Uses volume buttons to skip track Don't think there's a hack to use other buttons for pause though.

Music mod looks good, will have to try that. I use iPhone headphones to pause and play the music plus it works well for calls and its a comfy fit.

Does anyone know if/how I can enable skipping music tracks (in stock music player) using volume keys?
I'm running oxygen 2.0 signed and its not written into this rom.
Is there a script for this or a zip to flash or something?

It's only written into CyanogenMod roms as far as I'm away. You could find an app but I doubt it. Pretty sure that with the stock music player you can have pause, play, next and back on the lockscreen.
I flashed CM10-M2. It uses Apollo as default music player. Is there a way to go to the next track / previous track with volume buttons with Apollo? I can't seem to find it in Settings... I thought CM supports this. If no, what good music player can do this task?
Thank you
Bump - I know this is an easy question.
I do know AOKP has this feature but it's a rom though..

It's listed under Sound in settings, enabled by default. Apollo also supports it.

Not sure if it's possible using the stock music player but I think apps from the market let you. Not sure which ones but it's certainly an option. I think PowerAmp might, have a search one google and see which ones do
Hope you get it working,
Roo.
power amp doesn't allows to change song using volume rocker... at least in gingerbreads....
