I did, nothing showed up. Even when I started the thread!

I talked to a Verizon representative. This offer has ended.

Strange that it has ended. I got mine today.
When we went to activate my razr Thursday the manager at the store said they were on sale until the end of the month.

*cough* where have you been, bro.? But thanks for sending out reminders for those who haven't gotten one yet.

Just ordered 2100mah Battery @ 1/2 price
on the VZW website, if you search 2100 mah, the battery comes up as half price. You can't order online, there is a a Call button that gives you the number to sales. After making the case that the $24.99 should be honored, the rep ordered a battery for me.

How much better is the battery life with this 2100mah?

How much better does the extended battery help battery life and does it also work with the GSM version

Very little extra, but some. What you would expect out of 15% extra. Also, the verizon battery won't work in the gsm phone.

i actually like that, about how much did it cost you and any idea where one could get that? also how much extra battery life are you getting from that?
he got it from UK and it cost him about 80 bucks + the cost of the shipping. it gives you up to:
500 hours stand-by (2G)
403 hours 50 minutes stand-by (3G)
8 hours 55 minutes talk time (2G)
4 hours 30 minutes talk time (3G)
it has the capacity of 1500mAh
I got lucky... it was around 60 bucks us shipped to my friends grandmothers house in the uk. I found it on sale for 30 pounds on amazon uk. His mother was visiting his grandmother, so she just put it in her luggage and brought it back for me. To get it shipped here, you can have a shipping company in the UK to pick it up directly from lambdatech and have it shipped here. None of the companys i spoke to would ship directly to the US.
It doubles my battery life. I dont feel tethered to a charger any more. I can do ANYTHING i want from 8 am until midnight and still have some battery left.
BTW, in my research i found that this will only fit the i9000 European galaxy s , the T-mobile vibrant 3g (SGH-T959) / vibrant 4g (SGH-T959V) , In canada sold by Bell, Virgin Mobile and SaskTel vibrant (GT-I9000M) , and the telus Fascinate 3G+ (SGH-T959D) .
It will NOT fit the at&t captivate(SGH-I897) , the Verizon facinate (SCH-I500) , the Us cellulars mezmerize (SCH-I500 ) , or the Canadian Rodgers Samsung Galaxy S Captivate (SGH-I896) .
..........................
Shame that they didnt add a flash into it with all that hard work.
Nice
Looks impressive. Is it better than the Momax extended battery?

I think its better for two reasons:
1: I think its looks better. Its engineered to fit perfect without that Chinese poor quality syndrome.
2: It doubles and a hard case. Ive already dropped it a couple of times without any damage. I couldn't find any cases for any of the extended batterys. I didnt like the powerskin due to the fact that it is a gel case. I really like the hard cases.

Heres a link to the company i got it from : http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?prodID=B529046
You will have to call a courier company in the UK to have them pick it up from lambda tech and ship it to you. OR do you know anybody getting ready to go to the UK ?
Heres a link to a youtube review:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXFLXI7gdtU
Btw.. the Galaxy S II is getting one of these as well.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Pow...2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1307682087&sr=1-2
I dont think its out yet .
Not sure if anyone still cares, but you can get this one for under $45. http://www.amazon.com/PowerSkin-Pro...7MMM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1329109612&sr=8-6
I think it looks pretty nice from the pictures, but then I don't have one to confirm.
Also, as long as you don't mind just switching the battery, it's way cheaper to just buy a backup battery...
How does it function? :]
I had the powerskin and it was a bad move, because it just didn't
function properly.
Well, from the reviews it's a bit sensitive, but it more or less works. People complain that the USB connector is loose and will drop the connection sometimes.

I think for us GSM folks, the Korean 2000 mAH extended battery will be the best bet. Just have to watch ebay for it.
The GSM Galaxy Nexus has launched in many Asian markets as of now. Extended battery, genuine or not, will come very soon!
Now it's selling in:
- Hong Kong
- Australia
- Thailand
I think you need a bigger back with the Korean battery though.
Does your new battery have and NFC chip on it? the Gnex default battery has the NFC chip if you are not using a battery with this you will loose your nfc functionality.
i bought the 2100mAh this morning, $37.49 with corp discount.
EDIT: battery also came with battery cover as well and appears to be NFC compliant.

Where to buy cheapest extended battery for GSM nexus?

These are the ones that I've found until now.
Price: $42.99

the first one is the gsm and the ones on amazon are the LTE version, you can tell they are different by looking at the pic of the battery. another place you can get the gsm extended battery is Gmarket it came to about 40 with shipping, i order mind from gmarket and it came in about 5 days.
eBay one is GSM.... I have that battery myself (as well as many others... it works)
go to korea direct to buy it will be cheapest, hong kong is the next, but they are out of the question, the cheapest on ebay is USD 39.97.

Yeah, at least they are genuine batteries (have to be for NFC). I like this, actually. It takes the hassle out of grappling with fakes that suck big time. $39 for a real made in Korea battery with NFC is actually a good price. I recall when replacement batteries for phones were at least $60.

Best deal on a extended battery for the Nexus?

I am on Verizon and switching to a Nexus... the phose comes with no battery or battery door... so I need to provide my own... question is.. should I get the regular battery or the extended battery?
any battery better than the other?
Apparently the extended battery is available from Verizon wireless for $24.99. (Great price)
This has been the case for a few months now but I'm unsure whether the deal is still on as I'm British and can't check on the website.
Yep get the 2100 mah battery at the Verizon store.

Love how no one mentioned that the extended battery from VERIZON only works for the CDMA model and not the GSM model.
The cheapest GSM 2000 mah extended battery is on ebay from shimshop ~$30ish.
CDMA/LTE = Verizon
Not Verizon? it's GSM.
I got the trexcell 3800 extended battery from Amazon for 20 bucks..should be a lot more juice than the Verizon 2100 extended battery AND it's cheaper!

No back cover usually means a stolen phone.
Check and make sure its not blacklisted before buying.
Even then, buy with caution.
this is a warranty 'replacement' for my Droid Charge. I've had lots of probs with my droid charge so they are replacing it with a nexus under my warranty... cost me $150 however..

The store clerk messed up then. When a warranty replacement is ordered, they have two options. Order a replacement for the same phone or order a replacement for a different phone. The second option comes with the battery and door. When I had my fascinate replaced by an incredible 2 I got everything.

Not Necessarily. I had a warranty replacement for my Droid RAZR to a Nexus, and I had to get the battery door, and battery, though Verizon gave me a $20 credit, so it only cost me $26.

DealExtreme have a $12 battery claiming to be 3800mAh. There from China so the batteries often lie about their capacity but there cheap and it has at least 1 comment saying it doubles capacity. Free shipping to just about anywhere worldwide too.

Really? I didn't think so. I was under the impression that the GSM and CDMA batteries we're NOT interchangeable. I found the official GSM extended battery from Samsung for sale on Nigrielectronics from other posts but it's sold out.
It's not available on Amazon and I can't find anything but shady looking vendors when I google.
Anyone have any ideas? I (think) know it needs to be the i9250 variety to work on the GSM (play store) version.
The Mugen battery is also listed as sold out.
I got mine on ebay. Took a couple weeks to arrive, tho.

Don't buy from expansys-usa, I tried to purcahse a battery from them (the extended OEM one) and they didn't restock for 2 weeks. I called them to ask when my battery was due and they said "we haven't delievered it", asked for a refund and they gave it me (although a bit rude). Go with shimshop on eBay, I personally brought one from the same shop and it was awesome. They give you a tracking number for international (you can track it here when it's overseas). Then you plug in the number into USPS and it tells you where it is stateside. Took about 2 weeks to arrive and the package was clean, sealed and no dents/scratches (the guy who sells them is very friendly and responds to questions very fast).

GSM batteries and CDMA batteries are NOT the same.
They DO use the same battery as other models though. One is the T-Mobile SGSII I think.
