Short answer. No!

You can only use Roms created specifically for the Epic 4G Touch.
Is there a difference between a Galaxy S2 and 4G Touch (if so what)? Some places I see the two seperated (like the forums here) and other places I see the listed at the same (accessories, Wanting to sell, etc).
My phone has Galaxy SII written all over it but my apps seem to work better if I specify 4G Touch?
Its virtually the same phone with a bigger screen we just have cdma/wimax radios instead of gsm.

Question
Hi, I have a quick question. I recently got a Samsung Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch (via Sprint). Which forum do I use? The Samsung Galaxy SII forum, or the Epic 4G Touch forum?
Sorry, still kinda new to this, looking for some friendly advice from those who know better. Thanks!!!

i'M CONFUSED. IS THIS FORUM FOR THE NEW GALAXY SII EPIC (SPH-D710)
OR IS IT FOR THE SDH-D700
710
Char
Seeing as it is the Epic 4G Touch and not Epic 4G I would say it should explain itself. The person above answered you. Closing.
I have searched all over the internet and all over this forum but I couldn't find anything that I could use. My Samsung Epic 4G touch doesn't show the Arabic letters as connected as they are supposed to be. Anybody was able to build a custom rom for this specific kind of a problem? I would really appreciate any kind of help that leads to a solution to this problem. The model number of this phone is SPH-D710. Thank you all in advance.
This is the one with the keyboard. The galaxy s 1.

Dear marcusant,
I am not sure what you meant by your post. I am talking about the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G touch by Sprint.

This is the Epic 4G Galaxy S I. It is not the Epic 4G Touch. It has a physical keyboard.
Scroll down a bit and find the epic 4g touch forum

Aha I get it now. I am new to this forum. How do I move my topic to the correct place if you don't mind me asking?

What device is it?! Is the SPH-D710 the Galaxy S II, the Epic 4G Touch, or the Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch? Are these different devices and if so, what are the differences between them?
Thank you!

SPH-D710 is the model number. Galaxy S II is the "brand". Epic 4G Touch is the device name specific to Sprint.

SPH-D710 is the model number
Epic 4G Touch is the name branded by Sprint.
The phone is a MODIFIED Samsung Galaxy S2.
This is the issue with carrier branding that THANK GOD The Galaxy S3 did not fall victim to.
This model doesn't have NFC! GRRRR!!
