I know for rooted users there are a ton of apps that do that. First, I have no Google Market access so apps need to be available via amazon or there means.
Google disabled my old account so I made a new one, however to use the knew one on my phone to access the market I have to factory reset my phone to clear the old account. I not worried about my text messages and my contacts have been exported to my SD card. Its really just the apps I don't want to have to remeber and re download.
Any suggestions or a way to cleartheold google without factory resetting?
How long will it take my phone to get upgraded back to Gingerbread after?

Don't know if astro file manager is on 4shared or not, but it can backup applications to sd. No root needed.

1) The Samsung Galaxy has quite a beautiful sms app, was wondering if its possible to export this from samsung's rom to be installed on a sense rom? Private message me a link to 4shared etc?
2) I have a thread on my handcent sms app nearly a thousand messages in strength, I'm now struggling to delete them without crashing (I can't delete 10 without a good two minutes wait or a crash). Any help or tips for deleting? Don't want to system wipe.
3) I've downloading and bought a few paid apps from the net and installed them to my phone later finding they are on the market, but obviously they do not show in the market so I can't update them. Tips?

1) does the galaxy not use the default android sms app
2) try deleting data in sms storage (or messeges or whatever its called) in manage applications.
3) if you bought the app legally and not just paid for a membership to a warez site, you can contact the dev for the latest versions.

1)It does, but its been modified slightly, and black. Very nice looking.
2) Didn't work, done it many times, but thank you. Any other ideas? What about wiping cache etc? I don't mind, as long as I don't loose settings
3) Cool, thank you
Edit: Seemed to have sorted number 2, found a great app on the market called SMS Manager, must be knew because never could find it before. So if anyone has the editing sms app on the samsung galaxy, that would be lovely. Then we can close this thread
Hi, Is there a way to re-link free apps to the market without having a TiBu backup w/ link (to use with the Market Doctor) and without having to reinstall every app that is missing the link?
Or even an app that will show me which ones aren't link and allow me to reinstall them from the market?
Thank you.
I think I read somewhere that when people had done a complete wipe on their phone, they then went to set it back up and a screen asked them if they wanted to use the Google backup and restore. Not sure where the info is stored, but you can go to menu - settings - privacy to see what i am talking about.
Try an app called "Root Tools", I saw in the market comments that it helped a few people restore their market links. A recent update took the entirely free app and made some options paid (without warning, and before this there wasn't a paid version) so I reverted. If that's now a paid feature let me know and I'll upload the old apk. I'm not a pirate and don't consider that pirating, but some may I guess.

Question 1: if I buy an app, lets say tasker, and then i want to install that app to my girlfriends phone.. Would it be enough to restore the App from my titanium copy? Or will it say her phone does not have the license? Is this possible and legal or i gotta buy another app? Seems unfair if I have to...
Also even if not possible for my gf to get the App will it be possible for me to install it in my tablet?.. Using the same google account or could I use another account? Need to clear out this
Question 2: little tutorial for tasker?, i want to do something, im from south América meaning my phone and keyboard (i use swiftkey x pro) are in spanish, but in xda for example i only write in english.. And its annoying the typo corrector since the keyboard its in spanish and every word i type its redlined.. So i Wonder if with tasker i could do something like change swiftkey lenguage to english when i open xda and when i close it, keyboard goes back to spanish

Definitely not legal to just pull the .apk and move it to another phone that didn't buy it. Obviously there are shades of grey here (it's just your GF's phone) but technically you shouldn't be doing this.
If you use the same GMail account and use that as the "Play Store" account you're signed into on both phones, then you should be able to re-download it on either device once it's purchased. This would work best if you each have your own GMail account for personal use, then a "shared" GMail account for app purchases. Otherwise, you'll each have access to the other's emails, contacts, etc..

In reference to question 1.
I had tried installing bionic bootstrap on my girl's bionic after purchasing it on mine. I added my account to her phone and installed it successfully. Used it once when rooting her phone but once my account was no longer the main one being used it disappeared from her apps. As for using it on another device that is yours, that'll work just fine.

Haven't heard about how to do this...
Your apps are tied to your Gmail account, plain and simple. You can have 5 phones running all with your same Gmail account and have all your apps on each.
But you can't give paid apps to other accounts. And I don't think there is a way to switch accounts that I've ever heard.
Sure you can just pull the apk and give it to someone, hacking, but not officially.
Ok so thats clear now... But no1 is answering my second question about tasker :S

Hi everyone.
I recently went to the playstore and downloaded a few applications for my new HTC One X (Which I looooove btw)
Problem is though, I think as I downloaded it, a virus or an advertising program was installed with it.
When I check my notification list once in a while it has a download ready called something like "Miniskirtmania" and as I try to get it away, or clear the list, it starts downloading onto my phone. I clicked on it to see where it would bring me and it seems like its to some website, but my phone is blocking me from going to that website as it is not from the application store or whatever.
Arent there a way to get rid of this stupid thing? I deleted the application which I thought it was, but it still keeps coming. Cant I block the thing or?
I really hope you can help as its driving me crazy
Try logging into market dot android dot com (Sorry, I don't have enough posts on this forum to post a direct link yet ) using the same Google Account as you've used to log into Play Store with and sorting it from there.
Else, go to Settings, Applications, Google Play Store and clear the App Data in there.

Any suggestions then? :&
Backup everything and do factory reset.
Or there is one Lookout app which tell you what apps are using adds.
Or delete all apps that you installed.
Just in case download some "antivirus" app and scan your mobile, I now many will tell there is no way that virus will be in android, but as you can see here, experts nows their job, somewhere may be one looking for shortcut in underground.
I always check reviews to see what other are saying about any app before downloading.
p.s. sending from my small nexus so didnt see that you already done some steps. Sorry.

Actually many will tell you there are viruses and that these "anti virus" apps are useless. google normally pulls these infected apps way before they get picked up by the apps.

Hello All...How have you been..!!
This might seem to be a duplicate post, but I thought of sharing the information to collate all the processes to save APKs from the market place as well as to get access to wide range of applications on the play store to which we ACE user don't have access..
Well found two processes...
1. For Custom Rom lovers, it is a regular heck to download all the application from market place after each format.. or get the apks from some third party site... So why not back up all the APKs from Play Store itself...
For that I found an awesome application on XDA called REAL APK LEECHER... which allows one to save the apks straight away to their PC and also scan for any updates..
The steps to do so can be found here..
But now there is a loop hole ... you can only download the apps compatible to your device model (corresponding to the Device ID)..
Now the trick though a stupid one...
Simpler way :: Ask your friend having a high end model to add your gmail ID to his/her device... and then access Play Store for at least once.. Take his/her Device id (using *#*#8255#*#*) You are done.. Remove the account... Register the device id/gmail Acc on APK leecher and access most of the apps..
But your friend might not allow to share his/her device ID, what to do now...
Harder way :: Google for some Random Device ID ... Use some app on the play store to change your device ID... Download at least one app from play store... You can again access all the apks using the above process..
2. Well found another application... This is the best.. though it is not free... is the Device Spoofer app...
Spoof you device to any given model... Download as many apps possible..
These helped me... I guess might help some one else too...
I download apps & each time they get updated, I send them to my another phone using bluetooth file transfer & then save them to pc. Much easier right ?

The process seems to be useful for users like me who have slow & limited data usage plans.. Moreover updates done over PC..
Rest the Device Spoofer is an awesome app.. Now i have access to almost all the apps on play store...

It's nice that you can be linked to apps that your device doesn't support remotely but the process seems to be quite complicated and not everyone has a friend willing to share their gmail stuff...

Thats true enough... But the APK Leecher rocks...
N i would suggest everyone to try out the device snoofer... Simply awesome and easy 2 use...
