Trying to deodex the framework files for the Nitro using xUltimate and I'm getting a spew of errors on the file "qcnvitems.jar" and/or "qcnvitems.odex".
Anyone possibly know what's up?
I've tried googling around, but didn't find much. What I did find was potential issues with Java versioning, but I updated to the latest and it was still a no-go.
yeah im too facing problems in deodexing qcnvitems for my LG P500 ...
Tried manually using baksmali and using xUltimate tool too...
any one who got this de-odexed ?
Wondering if any progress has been made. Looking to deodex my nitro and patch over pdeoid permissions thing. Any success with that file?

I tried to run pngopt on the latest froyo release and after flashing the ROM, the HTC_IME.apk continually force closes.
I ran the pngopt on the entire /system/app dir before flashing and now I recall reading from Fresh's release notes that through experience he knew what apk's did not pngopt well.
Can anyone give me a list of apk's I shouldn't touch with pngopt?
Since I'm sure not a lot of people know the answer to this I will just post my findings so far.
It looks like HTC_IME.apk is the only apk that doesn't like png optimization. I have been running my ROM for several hours and no problems so far after replacing HTC_IME with the original untouched version.
I removed all of the Sprintware first, so there may be problems with those apk's and pngopt, I have no dersire to install those and find out
I've been searching this forum and google. What is pngopt?

I'm an idiot. You guys are just talking about generic png optimization aren't you? So you just unzip the apk, optimize it and re-zip? Is there a "favorite" optimizer for linux?
I've spent the last few days trying to use apks extracted from CM-6 on a Sense ROM. I cannot get them to install, and simply replacing the apks in the /system/app folder didn't do the trick either.
I have also tried using dsixda's ROM kitchen to build a custom rom that would install these apks upon flashing the ROM. No dice there.
The apks I'm trying to replace/install are:
/system/app/phone.apk
/system/app/TelephonyProvider.apk
/system/app/Contacts.apk
/system/app/ContactsProvider.apk
I have also tried copying the files from /data/data/com.android.phone
The only one that I have successfully installed is the Email.apk included with CM-6.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
wrong forum for questions
Correct, sir! Lost track of my tabs -- sorry for that.
Please move!
Im running Creed's V2.1. I guessed Xloud was the cause and so, i flashed an edited version of Xloud which the Dev said would fix my problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559978
Didn't work.
I tried disabling Xloud by editing the Build.prop file. Didn't work either.
Tried installing DSP from my Titanium backup, but it was getting force closed.
I paid for the app and it not working only means I've wasted my money. The app wouldn't even open but after I flashed the edited version of Xloud, it would open, but it wouldn't play.
I'd love to stick to the ROM. Could anything be done about this? Any kinda help would be appreciated!
xloud mod replace some of of lib files in /system/lib. try to find the ordinary files then replace the one in that folder.
Wow. That didn't help in the least. What are they named? What should I replace them with?
the files are libaudioeffect_jni.so libxloudwrapper.so. in my past experience replacing libaudioeffect_jni.so with the original one from stock rom could solve these problem
this might help you.

how do you deodex email.odex?? i've downloaded java.awt.jar, i've loaded EVERY .jar and .odex from framework into the classpaths, also tried deodexing under different API, but still i get errors.
"could not resolve method in class :javax/mail/BodyPart; at index 19"
using baksmali 1.3.3
this **** is frustrating.
thanks for help

And i need help with something
After deodex some symlinks seems to be broken like this file
