This will not wipe data but return you to factory stock
If phone does not boot afterwards just boot into stock recovery and wipe data/factory reset, problem solved!

Stock Tar is in case something goes wrong while your device is rooted/modified.
Always good to have a stock backup.

Please be patient while root is being worked on by myself.
The mount points need to be adapted from the process I have in mind and it might take a while.

As a former Epic 4G user, I hope you are correct. Our dev section was and is a bit of a wasteland. We had very few ROM updates from Sprint and were it not for Samfirmware, we still would not have Gingerbread.

need untouched stock ROM.

Ribbon cable has gone bad in my Epic and the charging port is having all sorts of issues.. so I'm turning my phone into insurance. Looking for an un-stepped on Sprint / stock release. Thanks in advance.

What if he is on GB? It won't chaange his modem. It also is still rooted. Best to Odin stock EC05 Z.

Actually, your right about the GB thing, didn't think about that
But, as far as being rooted, flashing reRFS, only leaves you with CWM as the only evidence of Root. No SU. Which is why I said to flash the stock recovery lol No more root.

Did it flash correctly for you? I just get a white snow-like screen with lines running across when I try to flash it.

As far as I can tell by examining the install script, this is not a permanent install.
Everytime you reboot, it will go back to the original CWM and you will have to run the install again to get this recovery.

You are right. It works perfectly. Does backups and installs but won't stick. How can we make it stick sfhub? By packing it into a stock kernel?

Yes, pack it into a stock kernel and flash/install the resulting kernel.

No I haven't tried flashing a modem but I could. Let me try Thanks for helping out.
EDIT. just flashed the el26 modem and it flashed perfectly.

i tried this also, charged me $2 as in app purchase from market (which i dont mind, koush is awesome) but then force closed, and the martket said purchase failed and it auto refunded me. also, why dont you want to try it, mazook?

For me in norcal, fc24 modem gives me better 3g connectivity than fc22. But I haven't compared it to el29. But newer is always better right?

Use ODIN as indicated by the [ODIN] tag in the topic title..
Patiently awaiting the rom download in hopes that it fixes my google wallet. Samsung and google keep pointing fingers back and forth. Hopefully this rolls out real soon

This is just the latest modem, not the rom. I'm sure it'll be on its way soon enough.

Sometimes flashing a modem in mobile Odin doesn't always stick. You can give it a shot though and let us know how it goes.
