Hi, I'm running ADW Launcher on my SGSIIE4GT and I want to change the App launcher icon from ADW's stock image to the one that's on ICS...How would I go about doing this...? Thanks

Assuming you have the ICS icon downloaded, double tap (if on the dock) on the app launcher icon, got to edit, click on the image and then choose the icon from the gallery.

Okay: This is easy-peasy.
First, long-press your app-drawer icon and pull it out of your dock.
(You'll move it from this:
View attachment 826338
to this:
View attachment 826339
Next, long-press the icon again, and this will pop up,
View attachment 826343
press edit, and you'll see this:
View attachment 826350
Now, you can put whatever you want in its place, like this:
View attachment 826356
Finally, after you have the new icon picked out, you'll see it on your homescreen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
then, just long-press it and drag it back down into your dock, like so:
And, you're all done.

Ha! Yeah isn't that beautiful, such calming music too. What you are seeing is a various amount of widgets. You need to customize your screens to your own liking. Long press on an empty area of a home screen or blank screen and pick to add a widget and try each one out and see which you like. You can also change your wallpapers and other things. You can add widgets from the market as well. Lots of people like Beautiful Widgets which is a paid app. Have fun customizing.

I think that was what touchwiz 3.0 was supposed to look like before they made changes. I'm not sure though I thought I read something about it somewhere. Out twiz 3.0 is not what twist 3.0 was supposed to look like.

Lifehome was updated to version 2.3.4 a few hours ago but I cannot seem to find it on the market?
Looks like development is very active though:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/livehome/com.mo.android.livehome
ETA: See post #3 for APK.
Okay reading on some other boards it looks like the developer marked the app as not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S2. But it does work, quite stable too.
So the question is... is there a way to bypass the compatibility check on the market? Or any other way to get the latest update of the launcher? I really love the amount of options it gives, kind of like a mix between ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro...
And those transition effects are really neat
Found the free version of LifeHome 2.3.2.
Guess you haven't tried go launcher ex recently...

I've put all the widget in the same place. All other screens doesn't have it. I have a global look of what's happening around in one screen. Its a personal choice in matter of style and look.

Oh I really like GoLauncher Ex, thinking about switching back to it.
One think I wonder is why they don't have e.g. the Cube transition in the launcher, they do have it with SMS Pro though...

If you mean this for Go Launcher EX then you 're wrong my friend!
The Cube trasition effect (in two versions) is supported on the Launcher!!!
Which version do you have? Cause the latest is 2.35!

I meant the 3D effect, not the 2D versions that come with GoLauncher ex
Open up Go SMS and swipe to the left/right to see what I mean...
The Lifehome Launcher has real 3D transitions, another neat one would be the pageflip transition, it actually looks like you are really turning the page and I haven't seen a similar quality transition effect with any other launcher so far
I'll see if I can post screenshots later.
Yeah transitions looked like crap and it was very laggy

I believe this should either be posted in Development OR Themes and Apps but Im not sure which one. This IS a cool mod!!!
It should be themes and apps - it's not a Dev topic.
But don't re-post, I'll report the thread and a Mod will move it.

I'd love to give this a shot, but am not thrilled about needing to decompile/recompile. Hopefully at some point someone will create a flashable mod.

It works!
mmm....it seems good...try now on m3 then..
Wow, this is amazing! Working for me on stock rooted 4.0.2. Now we need an ICS Button Savior theme This has been something ive been looking for since day one. Feels good to make use of the full screen.
Also dont forget to backup your stock framework-res.apk. I did it all with root explorer.
Edit:
Its a little strange, but im going to keep using it for a while and see how it goes.
me too..i'm doing the mod and i will do also a restorer-cwm zip!
Very cool, agreed wish there was a better button replacement app.
Edit: Also to everyone, wave launcher works well with this mod.
this may not be possible at this point but would there be a way of instead of having it as a side bar making it mark of the notification bar like the way honeycomb does it but having it at the top?
Updated with my new android guy icons and will hopefully complete the set and the circle set soon

heres the zip
heres the zip for the dark blue edged icons
this one is still incomplete though
These are perfect. How do I use them? Unzip them and stick them in which folder?
Well I tend to just use them as desktop icons (not On appdrawer) so if your using nova or adw you can just long press the icon and then edit and select the image from the gallery.

Once I get the chance I'll try and make them cwm flashble. But right now im gonna work On getting more icons

1. Install both of the applications from the list above.
2. On your PC, extract the zip archive that's attached.
3. Copy over the Launcher7Backups and bluetooth folders to the root of your SD card.
4. Set the Windows-8-CP-Lockscreen.jpg file found in the bluetooth folder as your wallpaper.
5. To confirm the lockscreen is going to use the wallpaper, open WP7Lock and make sure the option Use system background is checked.
6. Open Launcher 7, press the menu key (left soft key) and tap Launcher 7 settings.
7. Choose Backup/Restore, pick Restore, and choose the backup from the list with my nickname on it.
Restart both of the apps, and you're set!

and to export the lock screen image (because it's all over my computer and the phone's SD card),
but you should all have it on here by July 21.
