where can I find mods. I have setup android kitchen but there's nothing to cook. Cooking Ruu is easy included mods in kitchen is just like cooking rice. why doesn't xda chefs give us some chicken and meat to cook in our roms ?

I know alot of the chefs on here are top notch and use a method of not using RGU files in there ROM.s but I need a good base WM6.1 ROM that I can extract using Core Kitchen and alter as I fancy having a go at making my own. However I cannot find a good base WM6.1 ROM to develop that doesnt have the RGU fiels taken out. Any Ideas on which WM6.1 ROM is good to start cooking with ?
good shout!
I'll second that!
I'm about to embark on a project too...
ALWAYS try pandora naked, download the kitchen from the thread as it has all the tools in the zip already broken into OEM/SYS. The latest build is pretty good and its the one im using in the new ROM im flashing tonight at some point (V7).
matt_rk is pretty swell about releasing the rom bases etc... so i wouldnt worry about it being behind in terms of versions alongside the latest builds of PaYs / Ks rom etc...
Has anyone made a rom kitchen for the dash? Or successfully extracted the files from the OS?
I really want to cook a custom rom.
I did call me the cook...
I will take that as ricky or Kavana have it and thats about it
For all the lurking I have done on this forum that is all that I have seen, I have not been able to locate a rom kitchen yet. However; I think that there would be a whole new mess of questions if someone just posted one up. All in all, it would be nice, but the amount of hassle it would cause for the experienced people would be too much to deal with.
ROM cooking tutorial
Hello,
I think it's not really a ROM kitchen but it´'ll help you cook a ROM yourself:

Enjoy yourselves and post about what your cooking experiences!
Cheers!

Below are some of the kitchens which I found to be very useful to learn how to cook. They have instruction manuals in them, so feel free to read. Cooking is not an easy thing, it takes practise and lots of knowledge about how things work. Below materials are for WM6.0, but the concept of cooking is the same for WM6.1.

Enjoy cooking! I will try to keep up with the kitchens in this thread, and hope we can prevent some newbie threads looking for kitchens by keep up with this thread.
PS: I do not take any credit for anything, all the credits go to orginal authors.
Thanks for compiling this info. Just as a reference, I'm reading thru this cooking manual, although not for the Hermes specifically, but I think is very good.

Hallo,
first I must say that I never cooked a rom so I'm a Rom-virgine
I want to edit the original 2.03 GER Rom from HTC.
I Installed XBmod Manila Rhodium but after installation there is no free Memory, so I must cook a ROM by myself. TouchFlow3D is the only thing I want to change.
Can anybody give me a link to a tutorial where I can read everything about Rom-Cooking.
I nee a kitchen... which, where I can find?
Which files to edit...
I hope somebody can spend me some minutes to help a nooby ^^
Maybe "erviuskitchen" is good for cooking, i dunno...
BUT I Think you need 2100+ build 4 TF3D working properly.
musste ma gugge obs irgndwo ne anleitung gibt
On my Diamond with cab installation everything works fine.
Where can I get a 2100+ build? I need a GER version.
Go to www.htc-developers.de. It's a German forum and there you can find a kitchen with a 21042 ROM and SYS. But currently the site seems to be down ...
Check this out, it might spare you the cooking - german rom with xbmod manila - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497204
Hey, nice to see some people really trying to learn and not only: "can you do it for me?"
Here's the easiest way i found to start cooking, it's a really simple kitchen, with it you can dump any open rom and there's also a great video tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413782
And here's i nice post by Suiller explaining a little about some Manilla OEM's, what files you will need, etc...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3622406&postcount=2220
Good luck man! If you have problems, just pm-me and i'll do my best!
In the Diamond ROM development section, look up the thread 'noob kitchen'. It's a thread where I and a few others help(ed) each other out to get started to cooking.
I posted a link there with a few packages and my entire ROM kitchen with what I ended up with, including my RhodiumManila packages.
Drop me a note on how to get going _after_ you've done at least a few test cooks and/or reading that thread for a bit .
If you're as far that you can dump the original 2.03 HTC ROM, and remove a few things, recook it and flash it: then you're just a few steps away from adding RhodiumManila to it
Hi guys,
I am thinking very strongly about building my own WM6.5 rom.
I read and searched through alot of info on kitchens (I hope i understand the term correctly) and I am a little over whelmed by the amout of choices...
As i understand it i will need a kitchen and a base rom (WM6.5 build X) to start with.
I am also fairly fond of a GUI, can someone link me the easyist kitchen to use and where i can find the resources for the latest WM files and TF3D 2.X
Also how do you all test your roms?
Is there a Touch Diamond emulator or virtual phone rom tester?
Sorry to be a noob.
Thanks in advance.
