[ROM][2.2.1][Official] i9000 ZSJPG for Hong Kong (Asia) [with download link]

ZSJPG (first android 2.2.1 for hong kong) is released via Kies on 24 Feb 2011
put the file on odin pda (uncheck repartition) to flash it, no pits required.
PDA/PHONE/CSC: JPG/JPG/JPG
Build date: 8 Feb 2011

may not be rooted (superuser not working) as some users reported
speedmod can still flash over it but not everyone can apply tweaks as users reported
speed like JS5, lag-free without lagfix

Hm, JPY/JS3/JS5 should be greater than JPG (in terms of version number)?! So imo it should be useless.

ZSJPE (previous radio from HK rom) is my choice for a really good battery life and nice reception, so really hoping for another hit with this ZSJPG.

Dated Feb 8th, 2011. For the TGY market, at least, this official I9000 ZS firmware is new.

Will give a try but i think modem only with XWJS5

can someone tell me if this one is faster than XWJS5?

where can i find only the modem file? Can somebody make a modem file to flash with Cwm

it uses 803pit as js5 do, should have no problem

I'm on js5 with 512.pit, works fine.

I flashed my phone with ZSJPG, Ver 2.2.1
Very Very Smooth, No Lag, BenchMark=1100,1115,1125. Its better Than JPY. But same as JS5
Use Odin
Just select the PDA file, Do not check the Re-partation. Works perfectly.
Browser still have problem Squre box shows up while Zoom in & out.
Same Problem with JPY,JS3 & JS5

Use sgs kernel flasher, no odin and you can backup the kernel.

[Q] help out a newbie..

hi all
i was just after a little advice as a newbie here...ive got a rooted defy with a 2.2.1 uk rom and want to put 2.2.2 uk official rom on.do i just simply need to flash the new rom with rsdlite?.also the rom has a .sbf.gz file extension..do i just remove the .gz?

There's no big difference between 2.2.1 and 2.2.2. If you have red lens defy you can flash 2.3.4. It's awesome

U just use cm7 2.3.4 .......

I LIKE MY DEFY and i m sure that i ll keep it for atleast 3 years.....After 3 years a lot of phones would have come and there may be a lot of additional feaures......There may be virtual Retinal tech...i m not sure of the name ............can anyone tell me what features would have come????

downloaded again managed to unrar...flashed using rsd lite..now running 2.2.2..yay...now to reroot and then look at 2.3.4

Nice one pleased you got sorted.
I've got the sbf saved in RDS Lite just in case I need to send off for a warranty fix
Which 2.3.4 version you going to try - I'm running Quarx' CM7 with the Nordic sbf as a base & it's really very good. It runs much better than when my phone was on eclair & better than when I flashed froyo

thanks sp8y i'm just browsing the 2.3.4's at the moment..but the one u mentioned seems to be pretty stable

Defy bricked

Hi everybody!
Two weeks ago I installed the last nightly of CyanogenMod (android 2.3.7).
It worked correctly, but last night, i dont know why my defy was bricked and I couldn´t run clockworkmod...
Now I'm trying to repair it using RSDLite but any sbf version can resolve my problem
HELP PLEASE!

What do you mean with "any sbf version can resolve my problem"? Is RSDLite working and successfully installing a clean Motorola software?

I said that because I have tryed to restore my defy with this files
JRDNEM_U3_2.21.0
JRDNEM_U3_2.51.1
JRDNEM_U3_2.34.1
And my motorola is already dead. RSDLite can´t restore it.
I think that's why I had installed android 2.3.7

Mine was CEE.
I have just read in a forum that when you flash with RSD you cant downgrade.
So I need a ROM witch version must be android 2.3.7 or higher... that exists??

No go for the e980. JUst sat there at the LG screen, which makes me think the flash actually didnt happen since I know MIUI has its own splash screen. What did I do wrong? I was coming from CM10.2, full wipe and format system before flashing the zip then the baseband...assistance anyone.

Same for me, I was coming from the stock based G2 rom. Just sits at LG logo. Let us know if anyone with a 980 has any luck!

P.S. I have Indian E988.
FINALLY MIUI.....
UPDATE 1 : Found a bug. The notification drawer flickers sometimes when in the pulled down state.
UPDATE 2 : The capacitive key vibration is not working.
UPDATE 3 : Flashed Latest GAPPS from goo.im and all google services works. while setting up the google account, settings will FC a couple of times. after that its good to go.
Also, crazy battery drain. 20% lost with 30 minutes of screen on with cpu at 1.3 ghz (General playing around with the rom, no games etc.).

flash baseband is not flash radio. its just a kernel package refer to sutable baseband.

Finally Got it working!
For the e980 users. Grab the latest MIUI Rom for the OP and the e980 baseband(kernel) AND the e908 Modem from Madmack....I use CWM...Full wipe (Factory Reset/Cache/Davilik too. Flash MIUI, flash the Baseband(kernel) then flash the Modem. GAPPS is included in the ROM.
Still testing and will let you know what bugs i find. Good luck for those that like MIUI
