When I'm on a home screen and I rotate the device to make the screen rotate to landscape, the screen automatically jumps to whatever screen has the calendar widget on it. Why???? This is extremely frustrating!
Anyone have any idea why this would be happening? Suggestions to fix?
Ps I'm running Revolution HD 2.1.2 and this happened on ADW launcher, GoLauncher, and LauncherPro!

i noticed that whenever i unlocked the screen to one of the home screens there is a very noticeable flicker, like an entire page refresh or something. there's no flickering when i unlock to an app or settings menu etc., only to one of the 7 home screens. is anyone else with this otherwise awesome rom having/seeing this issue?
I have noticed that when I turn the phone sideways it switches to landscape mode almost instantly. However, when I turn it back to portrait mode it takes at least 5-7 seconds to switch to portrait mode. I have calibrated all of the sensors in the settings. Is this normal?
What ROM\kernel are you on? What launcher?
I'm stock and its just as fast for me both ways. Only like a second sideways and vertical.

I am on midnite 2.1 and I have tried it with launcher pro and ADW EX.
I think it might be app-dependent. I, too, have noticed a lag when changing from landscape back to portrait, but when I tried it just now with gmail, it was near-instant. I'm currently using StarBurst 1.5.
When you push the power button and see that your screen is inverted, then.... with the screen still on, hold your phone tight and give it a hard flick of the wrist. This has worked twice for me.
Running Calkulin's 2.6, Overstew's ICS AIO, Launcher Pro
Is this working for anyone running different setups?
can anyone verify that I wasn't drunk when I wrote this? The wife says I didn' t do anything today but get ripped. I told her I helped a lot people...just not her.
I have had the screen invert once... I just rebooted...
I have also had my entire screen go magenta for some strange reason...
The screen "appears" to be inverted... but it isnt... at least not to the phone. unlock the screen with the same manner you always would even though the visual cues are wrong. What ever lockscreen you are on, just do the same motion again. then once in the normal home screen, rotate it around a few times and it corrects itself.
I know exactly what you are saying about being inverted but still fully functional....giving a shake a shake with the snap of the wrist solved the issue without playing games.
Download Spare Parts from the market and set "Window Animations" to "Fast." Haven't had the screen inversion problem since.
i had it one time and and using adw pro all i need to do is rotate my screen and it resets the orientation
Is anyone else seeing a flicker in their app launcher? Occasionally, when opening the app launcher and scrolling I will get a weird flicker where my background with phase into my app drawer. The only way to fix it is to turn off the display and then turn it back on. Not a big deal, but is kind of annoying. If I can I will try to get a screen capture or recording of it.
I have a s8+ from Verizon and whenever I enable screen rotation, it doesn't rotate, and if it does it takes a long time to change orientation, and it gets stuck in that orientation until I turn screen rotation off. And this is with all apps, it's not that bad on YouTube but all other apps it struggles. Has anyone had this problem?
I have the same issue and all I can suggest is a temporary fix. Install xposed and get forced screen rotation mod. I also added the menu button to my navbar through GravityBox and assigned screen rotation to the long press, for quick access
I did and I fixed it. In the quick settings panel click the icon that says Portrait.
EDIT:
I misread the original post. My solution may not apply to your problem. Mine was not rotating and I couldn't find the setting anywhere! I was looking for the screen rotation icon - not a "portrait" icon.
