I see that USB Host/OTG seems to work with USB keyboards and mice.
Is there a way to get a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to work?
I ask this because since the NG uses MHL, there is no way to power the device, use HDMI, AND use USB Host mode.
MHL does not provide for data use, just power.
I paired my Dinovo Mini and it just worked - keyboard input and mouse (a pointer appears).
That was one thing I never could get to work in Gingerbread.

Do you have access to an MHL adapter. I wonder if the cursor appears in HDMI mirror mode?

I am trying to use the ATRIX dock which works great but i am having issues getting the keyboard and mouse on the unit to work. I dont understand it should just be able to be recognized like any other usb mouse and keyboard.. i am under CM7. Is there a special kernel or something...or even a rom that can do this?
I'am Evo 3D user and my Adnroid version is 4.0.3
I use my phone at TV with mhl hdmi adaptor.
I connect my bluetooth mouse and I use it far from phone and TV
When I connect mouse screen keyboard disappear.
I want to use screen keyboard with bluetooth mouse. What could I do?
Hi guys (and girls),
I have HTC One X with stock ROM on it. I got myself a MHL cable (not original, from dealextreme) and i had an idea to make some kind of notebook from my one X. I already have BT mouse and keyboard (both logitech) and monitor with HDMI input port.
When i pair mouse and keyboard with my phone everything works well, i can write messages, scroll and all other stuff, but problem happens when i connect that MHL cable from my phone to monitor. I get clear and good picture on my monitor and everything is good when controlling phone by touch, but when i try to control it by mouse and keyboard everything really slows down. Mouse cursor has great amount of lag, and typing with keyboard is nearly impossible.
I saw other people using this kind of combination on youtube and other places and as i can see everything goes without problem, did anyone had experience like i have or has a reason why is this happening??
Thanks
wow, that could be normal, 1080p output and 2 bluetooth devices shouldn't be easy to handle together
Hi,
I have a OTG/MHL adapter which has 2 USB ports and 1 HDMI port along with other SD/MMC etc. The phone is displaying fine on TV.
However I have a broken screen/digitizer. This is the reason for creating the thread.
When I connect my wired mouse into any of the USB ports, it displays Mouse connected (connected to HDMI through to TV) but there is no pointer and no movement. RED LED is lit under Mouse to show power is drawn.
I have a LG G3 phone but unfortunately trying to connect to it doesn't work however I have another USB OTG Cable but it's only 1 connection. Micro USB to USB. IF I connect that to my LG phone along with my wired mouse then I see the pointer and I can control my phone. No issues.
My Broken phone android version is 4.4.x
The mouse is a new mouse but one of the cheap one from eBay. Bottom of the Mouse the Rating is 5V --- 100Ma
The OTG Adapter is another cheap one but it's always worked for me without any issues. However MAYBE, just maybe the reason it doesn't work is because the power input or DC is also 5V. Does that mean the mouse is taking all the power?
What I'm trying to achieve -
Enable WIFI so then I can remote control the device etc. I use the Broken phone for KODI.
Can I use any ADB commands to make it work? I don't have it rooted I don't think but I can start the phone in Recovery mode.
Any advice will help,
Thanks
Just received my Bravia XBR-55A8G 4k OLED TV with Android TV. I'm already sick of using the on-screen keyboard. I tried an older BT mouse that I've used on my Android tablets and it pairs but the right and left buttons don't work even though the cursor shows up and moves around the screen.
My question is has anyone have a fully functional BT mouse or keyboard (or both) working with Android TV?
The TV is on Android 8.0
Thanks
I have a logitech kb/mouse that works fine with its USB receiver plugged into the TV. Same with a tiny hand-held Lenovo keyboard with built-in trackball. I have not tried any BT keyboards/mice that don't have their own USB receiver.

I ordered a Logitech K400 plus because I've found that this will work. I'll post back. Do you know the model number(s) of your KB and mouse just in case the K400 doesn't work?

I have an MK240 RF Wireless Combo, it was an import to the US, because I was looking for a small board and mouse.
FYI - The K400 works fine with Android TV. It has a touch-pad that works fine as a mouse. I'm happy now.
