They are all busy modifying their production for iPad cases... It's a shame that the Xoom evokes so little confidence in the accessory market I absolutely love it but I don't expect there will be any kind of, let's say car stereo, with Android connectivity (but maybe there already is; I never checked).
Either way, I will most likely buy the Motorola keyboard and patch together my own leather case with keyboard compartment... As we say in German: "Selbst ist der Mann!"
Anyone checked with Seidio?

I asked seido, their response was that they may but need to see sales and interest. They are a very responsive company probably good if a bunch of us post our requests on their facebook page to show interest.

It appears that Vaja Cases may be doing one. They're on the expensive side but make high quality cases. I'd had several over the years.

The Leather Agenda 2 made for the Xoom is just what i'm looking for!
It seems they are only making cases for lemmings.

I emailed an ipad case company called switcheasy. they make awesome cases and sleeves. This is what they said
That is a great question! Our design and development team is always busy
working on new products and releases. Since your interests are very
important to us,
we will forward this information to them for future releases.
If the dimensions similar to the ipad or ipad2, it may fit in one of
our sleeves... Ribcage and Trig. We can't promise, for our cases were
made specifically for apple products.
So my question is, has anyone tried to see if the xoom fits in ipad sleeves?
Yea, I have an encase sleeve I grabbed. It is made for the iPad. It fits fine, but the length of the XOOM is a bit more then the iPad, so it is a tight fit at the zipper. Width the XOOM is not as wide as the iPad so no issues there.
If it is a flexible sleeve, I think you're fine. If it is rigid at all, I think it could be tricky.

Shame the release date isn't set yet, but good news nonetheless! Personally I find them to be some of the most unique skins (I use the Neo New York one for my laptop ) and they do a great job of protecting the device. Thought I'd put this up here in case anyone was holding off on buying a skin until something new came around, I avoided the gel ones because I find them a bit plain and boring.

Apologies, I wasnt aware, i just saw other threads discussing it and assumed the rule referred to official advertising.
As for the textured back, I don't think it will matter, my laptop one is pretty thick anyway so it should smooth it out. My laptop isnt AS textured as the SGS2, but it flattens this backplate out quite nicely, so we'll see i guess.

I think they will release once it is out in the US, since they are a US company. I've bought a cheap case off ebay for £4 to protect the phone until gelaskins release them :3
by the way, there is an alternative - ZAGGskins. does anybody know if they are planning to make skins for our device too?

Hopefully, when SGS2 sells like hotcakes, manufacturers will start churning out cases and protectors like no-ones business
This is the first time I've heard of Gelaskins. I looked them up and their skins look amazing! Looking forward to their release of skins for the SGS2.
EDIT: Just received news from Gelaskins that the skins for the SGS2 should be up on the site on Monday or Tuesday!

We need alot of votes and each person is entitled to drop 10 votes total if they want.
So, I created a suggestion thread that CaseMate will consider and may even put into production if there are enough votes.

Basically the "I Make My Case" by CaseMate is where you can put any design of ANYTHING you want onto your case, including color choice, texture and style.
We can get this option if we get enough votes since CaseMate lets the community vote on new products/ideas and whoever has the most votes or enough votes, can get the product put into production.
Here's a great review/article about the whole thing including a video on what all you can do. Prices range from $34.99 to $39.99 but can vary depending on how big the phone may be, and so far, there are no other phones other than iPhone that have this option.

Sorry to post an iPhone article but so far its the only phone they have support for for this custom case.
But again, we can all change that!
