hi, i'm very new to android phones and i'm trying to root my xperia arc S with zergrush's method. can someone please explain to me how to install ADB ?
I have tried searching this forum but to no avail. Please leave me a link with the files that i need to download and some instructions please. thank you

Strange, given how many guides and times it's been discussed.
i searched for ADB and all i found were 3 threads, each with a download link to "abd" file drivers. I needed instructions since i'm so new to the android system. Ended up going to the site posted above and read through all the instructions there. My arc s is finally rooted. Thanks

Oy vey. Once again, as I told someone in another thread, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the stickied posts before you create a new thread. There's a really well-titled one you should read in particular: Don't Start A New Thread - HTC Espresso:MyTouch 3G Slide Questions & Answers Here!
And this should have really been posted in the Slide Q&A Forum...
But, with that said, these rooting instructions work perfectly fine on a Mac.

What version of GB are u using? Go to flashtool, connect the device in debugging mode and press the lock. That would root your phone. If u have unlocked bootloader just flash a kernel. It will root it

No problem, I was confused as hell when I first started all this.
Out of curiousity did your searches lead you to loads of unanswered threads?
I only came on xda so I could remove facebook and other stuff I dont use.

Hi all, my friend has Sony Xperia Arc S (lt18i) which is locked to unknown carrier (3co.uk - i think) .. i want to unlock it and use my country's gsm carrier
I want to install custom Rom on it "XPERIA Ultimate HD MOD" (suggest any better rom if any) and i am totally noob for sony devices. (have worked on various HTC device so i guess wont be any hard for sony if proper instruction is provided :fingers-crossed
So my question is, Can it be unlocked to my carrier?? And instruction to root and install custom rom??

Yes, and go to the general section and read the stickys before starting threads asking for what's been posted numerous times. Just because you're a noob doesn't mean you can't read.

went through numerous post to find the solution for sim-unlock but didn't find anywhere till you replied to my post hehehehhe
anyway got the answer..
im not sure if this is the right forum for this model but there are not many forums for huawei phones. basicly im trying to root this device but cant find any methods online that work. can anybody help me please?

There's something called the search button.
Not that I want to be unhelpful or anything, but questions like this are so common that you can find the solution by searching for it. Did you bother to read the stickies?

coz i tried searching for member but m not able to figure out how, plz give me some hint how to find a nearby senior member from my city who can help me

anyway: search an app called ''e-root'' it will do the job & please SEARCH B4 ASKING/POSTING
