So I've been quite unsuccessful with the easy ZergRush tool it seems it can't find the right path to communicate with my Arc I believe I have saved my SDK tools on my disk C and when I try to copy the link to the end of the path in the run time environments I still have no luck
now I'm kinda lost
I know I've done something wrong along the way and am pleading out for some help perferrably over remote assistance can any one help ?

My buddy Tahl and I put our heads together to make a script for setting up the android build environment. He wrote it after I told him what it had to do. It installs android sdk/ndk, adb from anywhere, and apk tool, open-jdk-6, along with all required dependencies for compiling. You have the option of running it for Ubuntu or Linux Mint. Just navigate to the script's location extract, and run ./inst.sh in the terminal. Alternately, you can click the script and select "run in terminal". Enjoy

Are you SURE the bootloader is unlocked? I'd try flashtool it's so much simpler
Yes I agree, install flashtool.
Install flashtool from here: http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
Once downloaded and installed head over to the directory of the programm and inside the folder "Drivers" install the driver located and chose appropriete options when the tick boxes come. Then you will figire out the rest. In flashmode you can flash kernals easily
it still don't work, any idea?

Your bootloader is probably not properly unlocked then. Try go over the procedure again to unlock the bootlaoder.
i try twice, but same result ...

Try download the kernel again. Maybe kernel file corrupted?

I am more inclined to use the command line than a GUI interface myself. However I do have this downloaded now just in case.
Thank you so much!
No problem, this was mainly for those people who were flashing modded recoveries and some were having issues on the exact syntax and procedure
@CNexus gracias friend. This is awesome.
No problem
Nice . Great work as always

This is the only way it should be done.
Thanks all for the suggestions - I tried the geeksoft apk and it did the trick. Actually, the first one I tried probably worked also, but the app I was using wouldn't work (iTag)...but i switched to another (Mp3Edit) and that worked like a charm!
Incidentally, I opened that permission xml file to look at any changes, and it appears the line was added just as it should.
Thanks again!
I'm tying to to through the process of getting download mode back on my phone, but I'm stuck right at the starting line by not being to see the phone at all. I've installed the LG driver package and put my phone in "fastboot started" mode, but all I see in device manage is this

go to a YouTube tutorial about fastboot. The driver you are missing you have to update it and look for it on your computer. I'm not sure how you get the driver but I think you get it when setting up sdk. Anyways look at some tutorials and you'll find out where that stupid driver is located
