Rocketfish Case w/extended battery - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Just bought the rocketfish case today and it fits great even with the extended battery, thought I would share my pics.
EDIT:
After having the case for a few days I am going to return it, build quality does not seem to be there.

looks nice. I assume that case is from best buy? How much?

nicely done

Prolly, I also noticed that the title on the packaging said Nexus Prime.

I went to the store today and tried the Rocketfish with high hopes. I currently have the double Incipio case and hate how big and bulky it is.
The Rocketfish case will close.... but NOT all the way. It does have some gaps around the edge on one side (the other side closes fine). I tried on 3 different ones (they were really nice because I told them I was following advice that it would fit) and none of them closed all the way.
I think this case is a hit and miss thing.
(If it wasn't obvious I am referring to it fitting over the extended battery).

Can't find this anywhere is it definitely only in store?

I definitely would not recommend anyone purchase this case for their phone. I purchased a similar case last year for my NS.
The case did more bad than good to the phone. Since the inside of the case is not padded with anything you are left with plastic rubbing against plastic, which in turn creates scuff and often times scratches on the back and sides of the phone.
I purchased this from Best Buy and will be returning it right away. I will not be making the same mistake twice.
BUYER BEWARE. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR PHONE IF YOU USE THIS CASE.

Sprint's BodyGlove looks promising...

Check out the review with some Q&A here...

As for this vs the Siedio case, I'm thinking this one is a bit thinner and would fit in my pocket easier.
wow like the bodyglove cover.whats the price? and can i buy one online?

It's 29.99 - and will be available at Sprint stores upon launch. You might be able to grab one now depending on how charismatic you are...
As for online, the online sprint store may be selling them - not sure, you'd have to check on the 4th.
Nice I like the look of that case and I just orderd the ghost armor case as you get the whole body armor for 14.99, the bodyglove might be better but I might use both, and then be covered for everything...
im usually not a fan of these type cases but i think ill grab it for the honeymoon period also
Will never get another body glove again. Their tabs break off all the time. Went through two of them in a month for my TP2.
damm i checked the sprint accessory online store and its not available yet i guess but ill b heading to the store to c if they got any before launch.so far got screen protector for the SUPERSONIC.
I've been searching online for the past couple of days for a case for my Evo. I really want this body glove case. I am going to stop by my Corporate Sprint Store tomorrow on my way to work to see if they have any and if they would let me buy one. I called them earlier last week about another matter and the store associate started talking about the Evo. When I told him I would have mine this past Friday he was shocked and wanted to see it. So maybe...and I mean maybe if I go up there show them my Evo and everything they may be nice and let me get one of the cases. Plus I have a Sprint Premier Account, so we'll see.

YES! I've had the exact same results with the Samsung moment case, the front panel is held on by 4 small plastic tabs.
These tabs easily break off just by taking the case on and off. I replaced my case twice after giving up completely and going naked. I'll never buy Body Glove again.
I would be very careful with the Body Glove or Seidio cases. I bought the Seidio Innocase II and put it on my iPhone 3GS on day one. When I got it ready for sale a few days ago, I removed the case to find some scratches on the chrome bezel. The felt on the rear protected the back just fine. If they lined the entire case with it, then it would be good. The bezel on the Evo appears to be shiny plastic, so I would expect it to scratch even easier than the metal iPhone bezel.
I've tried other cases...

I have tried other cases, they are of the cheaper rubber cases that have this interlocking mechanism on top and bottom that were okay, the fit wasn't good but the cases were good. The unfortunate thing is that comparing a TP2 case with the Evo case is apples and oranges.
That IS until I saw that the Evo case is also a 2-piece snap on. If there is no sliding keyboard why then is it a two piece snap on and not a once piece hard case? The tabs break, pure and simple. If the reset button is under the back cover, every time you take off the back bodyglove cover, you risk breaking the tabs holding the case in place.
When I say I have gone through two bodyglove cases, I wasn't kidding. The thing looks good, until the case parts start randomly popping off because the tabs have broken off. Not really a protector then, is it?

Hmm, well thanks a lot guys, I've definitely changed my mind on this case. I'll probably go naked until Otterbox comes out with a case (in which case the honeymoon phase will be over, and I'll be more worried about long-term protection).

Give the Sprint Silicone Case a try. I got it and love it. It's nice and cheap especially with a 25% premier customer discount. It covers everything, slips on easy and comes off easy, good fit, and it actually makes the power button easier to hit and feel.
http://shop.sprint.com/NASApp/onlin...=Carry+&+Protect&selectedAccessoryID=CZH1980R
Its pretty nice. I have it and its decently built. Only structural issue I see is by the volume keys. But otherwise seems quite solid.
I like the look of the case, very cyber, but if it splits the longest way around the edge& is only held together with little tabs, I'd look elsewhere. On a one-piece phone with no moving parts there is no sense in it. I'm looking at the Seidio since it has the smallest seam, it goes around the middle, and is made to be held in holster. I don't like shoving phones in my pocket any way and especially not this giant thing. Second choice might be the Sprint one with multi colors or the silicone one.
I love my Evo body glove
I bought My body glove from the Dover, NH Sprint store from wireless link. The thing is amazing picked it up for $20 (special discount)
When I bought my evo, they had that body glove case at the store for $20. I got it, and I like it. It almost has an "iron man" type of look to it. The thing I liked about it was that it was thick enough to protect the camera, meaning when you laid it down, the camera didnt touch anything.
It is a pain in the butt to take off though. It has the back piece and then a really cheap-feeling front piece, and they clip together around the phone. Its hard to un-clip them at that point. I've already bent the hell out of the side of the front piece, but it still looks alright.
Regardless of that, I'd say its worth getting.
i have it like above mentioned feels cheap when taking on or off but when on its great protects camera lense i have no complaints so far i might be grabbing one of those 3500mah batteries so ill probably have to change sooner or later

Droid 2 Case Reviews!

I just reviewed Droid 2 cases here:
Droid 2 Hard Case:
http://droid2accessories.com/droid-2-accessories/droid-2-hard-case/
Body Glove Droid 2:
http://droid2accessories.com/droid-2-accessories/droid-2-case-review/
Both you can get at Verizon store but Amazon is like 30% cheaper.
Also, I like the hard case better, the Body Glove is waaay too bulky, they added waaaay too much padding, your Droid 2 becomes like a big brick afterwards. But might work for those of you who want a sturdier Droid 2.
Hey thanks for pointing out these rad cases. In the Amazon page it claims to come with a micro fiber cloth and a "screen protector". Did the kit you reviewed come with some sort of clear plastic stick on deal? I hope so, I'm itching to by the white one and storm trooper this beast.
Thanks dude.
The one I bought
The one I bought is the same but I bought it at my local Verizon store for $24.99 doesn't come with a screen protector. darn it. But yeah, that link is the best deal I found and is the exact same case, yey.
Thank you sir I'll post back with the quality of the screen protector, ordering NAOWWW!
Hey thought I'd let you know this case is fantastic! Fits much better than I expected and the white case got me the storm trooper look I was goin for.
I also ordered the OEM extended battery from Verizon (BP7X) and am happy to report that despite its larger size, the case still fits perfect! In fact, I think these were designed for BP7X.
If you look at Zeedomax's pictures, the case has a swell over the battery compartment... with the stock battery installed, there is space between phone and case. With BP7X, like a glove.
I'd also like to say the free screen protector isn't half bad. No glare, no rainbow effect, and doesn't inhibit touch screen usage. The bad: it doesn't take much to scratch. I scuffed it up installing with a credit card and my keys have already done a number on it.
Definitely get this case and the battery!
Use promo code "BAT30" for 30% off and free overnight shipping. (Mine was $37 or so.)
I got the 'carbine' case when I bought mine. It was $25 instore. Also Good luck finding matte screen protectors anywhere. I have somewhat tacky fingers and find that glossy protectors make my fingers catch. I ended up buying a iphone matte protector from best buy and trimming it down to fit (bit of irony no? haha!) stupid things where $18 to boot...

Thanks for the info guys. I'm curious if the keyboard opens and closes as smoothly as without case. I briefly tried one on my phone and it was noticeably different as if the phone was rubbing against the case while opening and closing.
Yes, there are two clips on the top half of the bottom cover (confusing I know) that rub against the back of the screen when sliding open. Now even though
I noticed a difference immediately, I was not turned off by this at all. It has warn the clips a bit since then and seems to slide a little more effortlessly now...
But to answer your question, NO the case does not hinder the phone in any SERIOUS way. I'd also like to note that this case will drive you crazy on the top row of your keyboard for the first day or two, but now I've already forgotten what it felt like with the case off. Basically, you had about 1-2mm's of space between the top row and the screen. Now that space is non existent. You'll get used to it!
The only thing that seriously erks me, is all the crap that's getting stuck between the case and the phone from extended miles in my pocket. I've already scuffed up the shiny metallic front face pretty bad.
I thought since we are discussing cases, I'd share the slip case I got for my D2:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170524799245
It wasn't made for the D2, but it fits perfectly and it was cheap. Its already protected my phone from a drop of a few feet to a concrete floor. Most of all, I love the Android at the bottom of it, I thought it was perfect, especially for the price!
Do these cases have a hole for the noise cancelling mic?

Skip buying a case and replace battery cover?

I guess this mostly apply to people who are planning to buy a thin case that doesn't provide anything more than scratch protection. I fall into this category and was planning to wait for Zagg to get a invisible shield product out, but as I was putting the battery in for the first time I realized...
why don't I just replace the plastic cover when it gets too scratched or when I want to sell the phone? I'm sure the genuine covers will start showing up on ebay soon enough.
Forgive me if this is a duh thing and has been generally dismissed... I came from an iPhone...
Thoughts?
There are rubberized back covers now on the internet, and they are, in my opinion alot better than a case because you keep that thin feeling and have a rubbery touch to it..

Here's what I found. Not ebay, but anyway.
Look on mobilecityonline dot com for product #27649 "Motorola Rugged Battery Cover"
I'm too new to post a link.
I'd do this, but I like a case that has a 1-2mm lip around the display. That way your screen stands a better chance of not cracking if it falls face-down or front edge down. I wish I could get a slider like the Seidio Innocase II I had for my N1. I'd dropped that a bunch of times and the phone doesn't have any scars for it. I have the Speck case for now, but I'll ditch it once something thinner like the Innocase shows up.

Best Skins Ever FTW
On every device I've owned I've always had a best skins ever. The texture and quality is better than any others I have tried. Every skin I've ever had covers every part of the phone and they have all lasted until I replaced the phone. Very durable. I've ordered mine for the Atrix and should have it shortly. I can post pics when I put it on but in the mean time here is a link and a couple examples of a bestskinsever on my Nexus.

I've never really been a big fan of skins.... be it ZAGG Invisible Shield or anything similar. They just feel odd to me. I actually purchased a cheap TPU case for my Atrix, and like it quite a lot.
As for PowerMat which someone mentioned, i sent them an e-mail about a week ago, and recieved the usual expected canned response... they don't have a battery door right now, but the PowerCube would work. Really do hope they make a battery door replacement.... might be worth getting.
Yeah, I would love an Atrix powermat backcover. I was going to buy a standard dock but maybe I'll wait for a bit.

Anyone know why these are being discontinued everywhere?...
Probably because they were never technically released by Motorola. If you read reviews of the ones that some people have gotten a hold of, even the overall feel of the cases seem to differ even depending on what color they picked.
It's not a bad cover....not great either. But it is the only one that will allow it to fit into the vehicle dock without modification. I ordered it from a place in Canada, it shipped from Hong Kong. Took about a month to get to me. The edges are kinda flimsy, especially around the usb/hdmi dock area. And the lip doesn't stay "lipped" around the edge of the display very well. I think I'll just go back to my OtterBox Impact. I spend less time taking it off and putting it back on, than I do with constantly adjusting the ruggedized cover.

Roocase Ultra Slim Leather Case for 10.1 Review - Pics Heavy

I received this today in mail from PC Micro. They had coupon for 20% off tablet accessories so ended up to be $26 shipped.
Here is my brief review, and I'll let pictures do the talking.
Build quality: Probably the best I have used for any case. I'm pretty frugal guy, I wouldn't pay an arm or leg for cases but this is one of the very best. It's genuine leather, thus it smells great and feels great. None of that cheap PU leather cases come even close.
Protection: I feel pretty safe with the Gtab 10.1 in this case. Obviously, it's less protection than the thicker cases but this is more than enough for most people's daily use.
Accessibility: All ports are cut out perfectly. Obviously you can't charge with the folio flap close, so you have to charge it with it open. It's also a thin case, so when you are trying to touch the lower borders of the tablet, the rim of the case wouldn't become obtrusive.
Others: There is a velcro flap to keep the tablet in the case so it wouldn't slide out with the case open. A very nice touch IMO. Also there is no magnet for closure. I purposely wanted a case without magnet, so this may be pro or con based on user preference.
Overall: 9.5/10 (I don't give 10/10s). This is as good a case you can get. Don't look any further.
Hi Gordec, thanks for your brief review.
Could you maybe expand it a bit more with your experience as far as using it as a stand? In both modes, for typing and vertical for viewing media or browsing?
Roocase
My friend had one for his Ipad(allple Suck)but the case was nice so I bought one for my galaxy and it was great ...love it made a great addition.
I just got the ultra slim case today and its amazing i dont like the leather one because it covers the bezel around the screen nd it kinda gets in the way with the screen but this case is amazing.. The ultra Slim one..
I just received this case yesterday and must say that I am pleasantly surprised. I was afraid that the advantages of a case would not outweigh the added thickness and weight. However, what makes this case so great is the stand feature. It is so easy to use and type on the tablet when it is perked up on your lap or on the table in front of you. If you are on the fence I'd recommend this case 100%.
Edit: I have the "multi-angle" one (search Amazon)
I have been using this for a few weeks now. It's is a nice little case. Workmanship is vastly better than the comparably priced Acase I returned when the stitching started unraveling.
I dunno if this has happened to any of you guys but after having this case for about 2 months now, I decided to take the tablet out and give it a clean. Lo and behold I noticed that the case has discolored the back of the tablet. I have tried using alcohol to clean it with a cloth but no dice. Anyone else got this?

OK, thanks. I just ordered this case from amazon:

Cool, looking forward to it
I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to add that I have this case and have been using it for about three months now. I just checked the back of my Tab and it's pristine. I have the metallic gray back though, not the white plastic. It's a really great case-if you have the metallic back, don't let the complaints scare you-it looks like the discoloration only happens to the white plastic ones.

HHI Clear flexible TPU case for $.99

So, I went on a limb and ordered this:
http://www.handhelditems.com/matte-back-clear-flexible-case-p-201349.html
I would say I hope I don't regret it, but it was $.99 + about $3 for shipping. It hasn't shipped yet, but they provided a tracking number last night.
It's clear, has a cutout for the power button it appears, and I hope it works well. Just worried about it stretching out like the silicone on my current phone did. I'm not that familiar with TPU, so hoping that's not an issue.
Edit: I just got this case. It shipped in about 5 days by ups. It very thin but also makes me unsure if it'll absorb any impact at all. The first thing I noticed I think back is frosted, not completely clear. It's also not curved, but flat all around. I'm curious how well this will fit. The frosted back has a subtle texture to I as well, make it comfortable to hold and not slippery. The power button and all ports are exposed, only the volume buttons are covered and they feel stiff.

The TPU case on my Galaxy S Captivate is still fine after almost 3 years. No stretching whatsoever. I don't take it on/off often though, so that may shorten the life. It is certainly not like the silicone I have seen on other cases (specifically a GS3 Defender case that a friend has) which is very loose and has already been replaced once or even twice.

This is encouraging. Could be a dollar well spent.
It's definitely not a bad purchase for $1. The only thing you need to be aware of with TPU cases like that is they retain heat, which can be really crappy if you're doing some hardcore gaming or have the phone sitting on your dash. As far as protection goes, my requirement is that the case has a lip that comes out a bit from the face of the phone. That way if I drop it face down my screen (hopefully) won't get scratched.
Does anyone know if AT&T stores have any HTC One cases / screen protectors yet.
OP - thanks for the case link. I picked one up also.
Now they gave me $1 store credit. I bought this case and only paid shipping if I decide to spend my 1 on something else.

Well... I'm not saying yes, but I looked at the rest of their accessories and don't want/need anything else...

Agree completely...nothing else interests me.
This case came today, but I won't have time for a day or more to show it off or describe it.
But I did want to let everyone know I isn't completely clear. The back I will frosted clear. This is misleading from their page. We'll see how I looks when I get the phone.

I haven't been using this case much because I preferred my Speck clear case - well, the rubber/silicone trim around the volume buttons and usb port are streatching badly... so I put this $1 tpu case on instead finally. Dropped my phone on the asphalt last night from just below my shoulders. Phone landed on a corner and did a few flips. No damage what-so-ever. Not even a dent on a corner. Also have a Rhino Shield MK II on too, so if there would have been any screen damage, the shield did it's job well too.
