Anyone know how to start a Google+ Hangout from the phone. I noticed Google heavily advertising the feature on ads for the phone I saw on YouTube.

Google plus hasn't been updated yet to support. Rumor has it, they will push out the updated app today.

The only way I've been able to is by JOINING a hangout. The app actually used to have a huddle button, but it got changed to messenger and not sure if it let you start a hangout or not. But I have seen the over advertisement for g+ hangouts when they should be showing off the phones features instead if an app
I don't know if there is a way to start a hangout via mobile. :-/

Google Plus video chat works fine on my unrooted devices
Yeah Google plus video chat works fine but gtalk is more widely used than the Google plus, I think.

There was an app called peliculas hd that allowed me to watch movies, even the ones in the theater still, now it won't update since it's not in Google play anymore. Does anyone have a better movie app or know how to get mine to work again?

have you tried to google "peliculas hd apk"?
that should return a lot of options for you to download and manually install the APK

You should try F-Droid.com there are a select few of apps that are no longer on the Google market stowed away on that site! Even have an apk file you can install!

Has anyone seen the new Gmail that was supposed to drop this week?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Yep, if you're on a custom ROM you can get it through Gapps, otherwise just wait until it's finished rolling out. There's very little in the update, just a more Google Now-like card style for conversations and some other stuff most people probably won't even notice.
Yes - Google have been pushing it for a few days now and I read it will take around a week until everyone gets it.
Several Android sites had direct links to the apk on their mirror sites which is how I got it.

Earlyer, Google updates were available for all users allmost at the same time. But nowadays there are so many Android users, that they rollout updates over a longer time.
Just wait.
Loads of sites have the APK got mine from BeginnersTech http://www.beginnerstech.co.uk/gmail-for-android-updated-with-card-ui/

Hi guys,
I have the wifi only version of N7 and I use it a lot while at home. The only problem is that I have to keep reaching back to my phone to reply to SMS or whatsapp. Do you guys know of some app through which I can link my phone so that I can send messages through my tablet itself and not have to reach to the phone? Something like Airdroid maybe? Or Snappea? I can still use these apps through the browser but can you guys suggest some better way or app?

I use mighty text. Works great

There's DeskSMS and TabletSMS.
You need to have DeskSMS working on your phone, then TabletSMS will work. You can also install a browser extension so you can reply to SMS via computer as well. DeskSMS costs money, not sure how much exactly, as it's been awhile since I bought it.
Hangouts would be an easier "fix"

Thanks guys. Google Voice isn't available in India yet. I'll try TabletSMS.
So the sms issue is solved. Can we access WhatsApp somehow on a wifi only tab? You guys know of a way?

Tablet talk is what you need. It sends SMS and notifications to your tab. You can reply back and stuff. I haven't used it but I heard it works great.
