In my opinion there should be one forum for the Samsung galaxy nexus (GSM) Version and another for the Samsung galaxy nexus (CDMA) version since a lot of the GSM stuff will brick your CDMA nexus if you install it not knowing its the wrong one, I'm just lucky i pay super close attention and dont make mistakes but I fear for other people, plus it would just make browsing for your own phones stuff so much easier. Please help Forum Admin People!!!! lol
Plus 1.. had this issue with my Samsung fascinate and would read about bricks all the time from people not reading the whole thread and flashed the wrong version

Greetings,
I'm already subscribed to the XDA E4GT forums. Which of the other XDA forums would be of relevant interest to an E4GT owner?
Thank you!
.
well you could check out the galaxy sII forums but be carefull most info is good but some accessories are different (mainly batteries) and i for sure wouldn't flash anything that wasn't in this forum. (roms themes ect) they will bork your phone.
but some of the info is good and should give an idea of what kind of stuff you can expect from the ep4gt
General android apps is awesome find a bunch of stuff to put on the epic

Since the Verizon users will have different roms, I think its time to make two different sections for the Nexus. It will make it easier to browse and stop complications with new users flashing GSM roms and radios

Agreed. The build identifiers are too cryptic, and similar, for beginners to make heads or tails of without pouring a BUNCH of time into the forums.
Agreed, the Nexus S forums was set up this way as well.

i was *****ing about this earlier on g+ , since verizon released gnex the forum has been flooded out with lte stuff.

There should be a seperate lte and GSM forum. If you break it up more than that, we will see less development for our devices.

I am a noob and am getting kind of lost. Not that I am not learning, but every time I search for anything, I get GSM info when I need LTE.

Yup, just do it like the Nexus S did.
Common General, Accessories, Q&A, and Apps/Theme forums but separate the development forums to LTE and GSM.
Would save a lot of bricks and headaches.

You just called a forum moderator a troll....
@AllGamer: OP is saying that the development section should be split. So there'd be a GSM and CDMA forum. Kinda like how the Nexus S forum is set (I see you on there from time to time). Nexus S & Nexus S 4G.. 4G being CDMA and the regular forum being GSM. In my opinion, I agree... just keep the General, Q&A, Accessories and Themes & Apps the same. But just add another forum for the LTE version and move all the LTE material over there. That way, people aren't flashing the wrong thing.
Agreed, the forum is flooded again with people moaning about tiny little things like the screen or MTP etc., it's annoying having to see them all over again now the LTE version has been released..
If you had the choice to switch to either of these phones for free.. Which would you choose?
The HTC One X or the Samsung Galaxy S 3?
I'm stuck at making a choice.. I need some help and some reasons..

Dude.
Pick a phone that you like.
I'm sure googling "specs _______" would show you the processors and such that reside in each.
Also, what you look for in a phone has a lot to do with the decision.
TouchWiz or Sense?
Dev community or not?
Are you capable of making an informed decision with asking a random individual on the internet?
If not...switch to iPhone.
They're the best for users who just want to stumble blindly into decisions.
I'm leaning more towards the S3 cause my brother had the One X.. All I wanted were some personal opinions.. Maybe learn somethings I didn't know.. I had the iPhone 4s for about a month,.. I did not like it..

Either Tuesday or Wednesday i will be receiving two brand new new Verizon nexus's (32G's in the box with acces...) as a result of the popping and squealing issue i was having with my Samsung charge's. I am just looking for some input on the most stable custom ROM/Kernel out there. I've seen gummy and im definitely digging that but, this is a new adventure for me and all the insight from the nexus community would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. - I already have my galaxy nexus toolkit dl'd and im ready to use this amazing stuffs!!!!! hahaha.. awesome guys!! lol

The advice I will give is to NOT use the toolkits. The Galaxy Nexus is very "hacker" friendly.
Read up on the sticky about unlocking your bootloader and flashing roms instead. It's an easy and great learning experience and will help you get out of trouble later if problems arise.

OP Forum rules specifically ask you to search before posting
Asking what's the best ROM is the same as asking what ROM are you using.
ALL ROMS are the best
Read and try them out.
If you don't have time to read you should not be flashing custom ROMs on your $700 device.
Thanks

You know I'm sick of seeing this. If people post in the wrong section start complaining to the xda admin! Instead of adding another absolutely useless "wrong section" post. There is a Verizon galaxy nexus dev section, a sprint galaxy nexus dev section, and a Samsung galaxy nexus dev section. But 1 Samsung galaxy nexus general section. It's confusing to people especially newer users, so instead of posting another useless wrong section post go complain to the mods and admin, they created this mess

Any forum clearly labeled as "development" (such as this one) is for releasing ROMs, Mods, etc. Not questions or general discussion. Its really not that complicated. And I think thats what irritates a lot of people. And this is a boot animation, which actually belongs in the theme section.

Yes you are right, but all I'm saying is it's equally irritating, to me anyways, to see "wrong section" all the time. For some people its just an honest mistake because it is somewhat confusing. They see 1 section for Verizon Galaxy Nexus, and they have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus so that's where they put it. The way the sections are labeled people who don't know better think that every section except the ones labeled "Verizon" and "Sprint" are for the GSM Galaxy Nexus. If the general section was labeled Galaxy Nexus (all) or something along those lines it would be more understandable when people get frustrated for wrong posts being in a dev section.

I get what your saying. And I can see how people could get confused. But I dont know how else the Moderators could do it. I actually think putting (all) after forum titles might confuse some people too. Pointing out that they posted in the wrong thread though is mainly meant to prevent them from doing it again. Not to scare them away from the forums. And yes, it doesnt have to be (and shouldn't be) pointed out in a rude way.
Lmao that is the stupidest animation ever! Google never mixes the version in with their boot animations.
I hope the final version is much more professional looking.
