Why is there no danish/dansk dictionaries???
How can i get a hold of the Danish/Dansk dictionaries??
Thanks
I'm wondering the same but for Polish dictionary.... anyone???
Same problem for all the nordic countries. We are still waiting for an official fix.
Also: It's not called the Nexus Prime. Using the right name will make it easier to get help for your particular model

I would like to know this as well. It's a bit annoying to type without dictionary...
Still waiting :/
Man this sucks
Use a different keyboard them stock. I'm using Swype which have Norwegian dictionary. Or you could swiftkey from the market (it's worth the price).

There is an ICS keyboard in market and Danish dictionary for it.
But I'm still looking forward to a built-in dictionary. Should be much better than the one from market.
I have contacted Samsung Denmark and they have been very friendly. I also asked if Danish dictionary would be included in 4.0.4, and the supporters would have a talk with the developers to get an answer on that.
Ill post it here when they reply

Still no solution to this for a built in keyboard. And ics was supposed to fix that issue. Do dupy.
That's probably because you're on yakju. The generic version from Google. The other versions contain localization addons.
Did you manually chance to yakju or did you buy it with yakju?

I bought my phone with yakjuxw and later on flashed yakju cause I was on 4.0.2 with no update on sight when 4.0.4 is already out
Unfortunately I lost the localizations for Portuguese (which is what I want in my case).
I have to look into it myself but maybe you guys know if it's possible to extract the locale from yakjuxw and place it in my currently flashed yakju ? It must be some file somewhere to be retrieved...

Hello everyone!
I'm from brazil and our Galaxy S comes with built in 1seg digital TV (it even has an antenna), and I got mine today. Seems a root isn't available yet, so if anyone need me to dump anything or anything else so we can make this work, fire away!
Thanks!
Carlos
Have you tried any of the available methods of root? But first make sure your phone can go into download mode in case anything goes wrong. I'd like to see a picture of this Galaxy S with a TV antenna. Sounds pretty cool
It's been rooted, check the forum.
Did it today using the forum's tutorial.
Has anyone installed ROM's on the i9000B?!
Cheers
Not yet, still trying to figure out how to install all the gapps I want. Gtalk workd fine, but no gmail yet.
Ok, phone sucessfully rooted! now, anyone done any of the most popular hacks? Like the lagfix one? Seems mine doesnt have enough space on /system/ for ryanza's one
froyo 2.2 ?
The big question is : Will be Brazilian GS upgraded to Froyo ? Its the only Galaxy with tv ...
Does it suffer the lag issue ? The gps is good ?
Thanks

I have applied Ryanza's Lag Fix and Market Access, but I'm still an Android novice. No problems whatsoever with Ryanza's, my Galaxy S is the Brazilian model, unlocked and unbranded.

Mine already came with Gmail and Google Talk (haven't tried it yet), or are we talking about different applications? By the way, mine is unbranded.

How do I know if my phone suffers from the lag issue? I applied Ryanza's fix but to be honest I didn't notice much difference.
I think my GPS reception is poor. But I had previous phone models which didn't have good GPS reception themselves (Nokia N97 and Sony Ericsson Vivaz) so I don't really know.
I'd love if someone can dump this firmware.
I'm looking at swype and the modem.

Tell me what to do (or point to the appropriate topics) and I'll do it. Any risks involved?
i don´t know what the problem with brazilian SGS, works perfect to me with root, lagfix, we don´t have roms just it, you can use froyo beta but you need a way to extract apk of digital tv and swype language module (pt-br) just it, and we will have a galaxy like any other
Well I had to xchange my galaxy s for another because I semi bricked it LOL so before I did, I tested the froyo beta firmwares and on all of them the touchscreen didn't work. maybe our kernel is different somehow?
Seems we will have to wait for an official I9000B firmware?
Also, my galaxy didn't come with google apps, I got samsung email and some customized gmail application and some claro ****. Where can I get the regular gmail or another as good email client? Or even better how can I completely unbrand the phone and leave it like the one bought outside carriers?
Did anyone here rooted the Brazilian Galaxy S ? Anyone using Claro ? Thanks.

a lot of peoples use rooted SGS of claro in the orkut community of SGS, try this update.zip man
Now that we have paid apps in Market I cant see why to root . Anyway, I was not accepted in the orkut community . I am working on it right now to figure out what happened .
My big concern is : will be there Froyo for us ?
hi
Maybe this is a stupid question, but would it be possible to use the digital TV app on our "non" brazillian phones?
-TB-
Digital TV it´s hardware thing...
Our cell phones have a TV antenna and a digital receptor.
I´ve instaled clockwork and backuped my phone.
These files will help someone in xtracting swype language and TV app?
Samsung released an oficial Froyo update today.
Let's see how long it will take for us to get it here in Brazil.
Hi,
I bought the orginial Motorola keyboard and I've noticed that the mapping is wrong.
i.e. when @ sign is under the wrong key. How do I correct this ? I'm using the Team EOS ICS rom.
I got the same problem, so far I have found no way to fix it :-(
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
if the @ sign is shift and the number 2 you have usa keyboard settings not uk
Ah it could be the fact that I installed the US rom of ICS on my UK xoom then?
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
just change in keyboard settings on the xoom

Do you know how? I tried this yesterday but won't work, i have the same problem, a US xoom with a UK keyboard.
In the language and input settings I can change the language of the keyboard to English UK but the main language itself is still English USA. The only options to change that part are English USA, french and spanish! lolz

I've written an app that should take care of this.
Demo version: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.apedroid.keymapbridemo
Full version: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.apedroid.keymapbri
(The mappings are made to match a standard UK keyboard. If the Motorola version uses different mapping, then mail me a photo of the keyboard to [email protected] together with a good description on which mappings are wrong and I'll add an alternative mapping for the Motorola keyboard.)
I've also made versions for German/Austrian, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish/Finnish layouts: https://market.android.com/developer?pub=Apedroid
Great app! I Would buy it in a heartbeat but unfortunately I am not rooted :-(

OP was about "Team EOS ICS rom" which I suppose is rooted? Unfortunately this kind of hack requires a rooted device even though my app does not modify /system it still needs root.
Yeah OP said he was using the custom rom. Iam just on stock ICS rom at the moment, I unlocked my device but have so far been unsuccessful at rooting. That doesn't mean Iam giving up quite yet and hopefully will get it done in the near future. When I do manage it will be downloading your app straight away

Anybody else think that yakju has more bugs than yakjuux???
They are technically the same. Besides, even if there are bugs you would most likely get fixes faster on yakju as updates come directly from Google whereas yakju** all receive updates from Samsung which come weeks later.
Any way to switch from one to another?
Many thanks.

I noticed as soon as i have changed to yanju the 4.0.2 update came that i find more force stops, more features not working and suddenly getting fixed.Anyway i hope Google dont mess up and continue developing the awesome ICS.
Greetings all, sold my S2 yesterday and picked up an S3 and the samsung keyboard is driving me up a wall and I miss Swype! If I can get ahold of the apk I'd install it in a heartbeat! Anyone else feel it was a superior keyboard to the one samsung gave us on the S3?

google swype beta and sign up and download the installer, then it will install right to your phone.
It's on swype's webpage and free.
Noellenchris
Dude you're my hero! Now I have a useful keyboard once again! Thank you!
yeah the swype beta is even far superior to the original swype. good call man.

I agree
You know, xda isn't the only site on the web. If you have a question like this, chances are that Google will have the answer.
...but there is a catch: if you post something on Disqus-based blogs, you may notice something awful; this also happens on my Galaxy Tab Plus. Strangely, Swype works fine with Galaxy Nexus.
I suspect there's something happening with Touchwiz, Swype, and Disqus.
ok you guys themed versions of swype and actually just swype by itself is not allowed to be distributed on xda. If its in a stock rom thats ok if it came with the manufacturer to begin with. This is from swype themselves and we just enforce it

Are there any ROMS with chinese language available for the AT&T GS3?
I have the Verizon GS3 and it has Chinese but it doesn't look like AT&T version has it.
It should look like 中文.
Thanks,
Can Anyone Check their ROMS if they have chinese language available?
Here is a screen capture of the languages that look like they could be Chinese to me. The symbols you tried to insert in the original post aren't showing correctly. This is CM10.1.

Yup, that's Chinese. Unsure if the OP wants simplified or traditional, but cm10.1 apparently has both. (Indian learning Chinese :good: )
