Access SD-Card via wifi?

Hey there
Is there a way to access my phone's SD card when only connected via wifi? At best mounting the SD card as a drive like in usb mode. (tricking the phone into thinking it's on a cable, maybe?)
This would be so superb
Cheers
It's not exactly what you asked for but I use SwiFTP, I can browse in Firefox quite easily.
See this thread.

Its the extended desire console. The part you want to use is the samba share.
When you have this installed you can access your desire the same way you would access files on another computer over your home network.
Search the market for WiFi File Explorer. I bought the Pro as its cheap... works perfectly!

[Q] Network music

I have just ripped all my music to a second (non system) drive in my PC.
I have set all the PC's in the house to access it over the network.
Can I set my Desire (Bravo) up to see the music files also?

You could try this program, this should do what you want.

[Q] Control SNG from a pc

I want to control my samsung galaxy nexus via my pc but I dont need display I just need to use the keyboard and mouse.
Let me tell you why....
I currently have a spare monitor and I have connected my Samsung galaxy Nexus to it via an MHL adaptor but I would like to use my pc mouse and keyboard to do stuff on it and then just change back to pc when I want.
Anyone know any tools to do this?
Thanks
Bluetooth keyboard and mouse is the best option.
Try free AirDroid which lets you use many features of your phone including texting and managing apps via your browser on a PC as long as you're on the same network.

I had been using Droid VNC Server in the past, however it doesn't seem to support ICS. knoxbrder seems to be very close to having a working version for the Galaxy Nexus, you can take a look at this thread for some details.
Once this is running, you can run vncviewer on a Linux system, or download RealVNC for Windows and access your phone when it's on your WiFi network.

LMAO Are you going to hook your microwave up to a monitor as well? How about your toilet? Maybe you can get to the point where everything you own from phone, to coffee maker, to wrist watch has its own monitor. Clearly you need to get out more brah
I've found the remotely controllable phone-to-TV connection very useful. My old TV didn't have Pandora support so I used to hook up my X to it so I could listen via my sound system speakers. I now have a Google TV with a Pandora client, but with a dumb monitor you can also throw in Netflix and Amazon video to turn it into a smart TV. Or just turn the phone into a mini-desktop, it's already just a pocket computer.
i have been pretty disapointed with android options in this department.
i had veency running like a charm on my iphone, but nothing for android. and most of the vnc/rdp programes in market are not what they claim to be.

[Q] app like AirDroid but NOT be on the same wifi network?

Hey guys,
Just joined the whole android crowd, and for my first device why not the biggest phone they could load Android onto the Note II. I have been really happy with the device so far, well minus the fact the keyboard doesnt auto correct, and some other minor things. I like using AirDroid when I'm at home, but while I'm at work my PC is on a completely separate wired LAN system and not WIFI, is there a app out there that would allow me to send SMS from my PC through the phone similar to Airdroid without being on the same network? It doesn't have to be wireless, I can do USB, or my PC has bluetooth as well.
Thanks in advance, J

[Q] Broken screen, is there anyway to connect phone to tv to use it?

Hello my girlfriend has this at&t samsung galaxy s3 and she recently broke her screen. She got a new phone through an upgrade and the S3 is now a spare laying around, I don't want to buy a screen to fix it because its too much money. I have an old Atrix 2 that I have connected to my HDTV by HDMI cable and have an app installed in it called Droid Mote Server and that phone is always connected to the tv and the app is set to launch at start up and is controlled by another droid phone running droid mote client. So like that I have netflix, pandora, youtube, web browsing, and basically can run any app.
Well she asked me if I can do the same to her phone connecting it to her hdtv by an MHL adapter then run the droid mote server app to be able to control the S3 that has a broken screen by another phone running the droid mote client. She mainly wants netflix on her tv.
Can this be done with a broken screen? The phone is not rooted, it is connected to wifi at home, all the hardware buttons work. I don't think the digitizer works. So can this be done by connected the MHL adapter and maybe get a cable that I can connect a keyboard to the phone to enable usb debugging to root the phone, install and set up the droid mote server app and thats it? And what would I need to connect a keyboard to the phone?
