[Icons] Text Icons for various things - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi all, if the Mods don't mind I was hoping to create a thread where we can all share our Text Icons that we have made or used (as long as we have permission from the original creator).
Many of us use text icons for our launchers (ADW, LauncherProPlus, etc.) as well as for Desktop Visualizer (As a widget) and since a lot of people have been sharing their home screens and asking how it's done, I was hoping this thread can be a repository for those icons.
First, the easiest way to make your own text icon is via Simple Text
It will save your icon you make as a .png file and then you navigate to /sdcard/simpletext/ where it will be located by the text name you gave it.
I also used icons from deviant art (I will post them when I have more time)
Standard Resolutions
ADW EX Launcher Dock: 126x126
Desktop Visualizer 1x1 Widget: 256x256
Anyone know of any text icons using the "Roboto" font? I have the font installed on my computer so I guess I might be able to make some custom ones, but I'm unsure of what the 1x1 resolution is.

How to make Roboto Text Icons using Simple Text:
So go to /sdcard/simpletext
make a folder called "Fonts"
Install(copy) the .TFFs for any font you want to use, in this case I installed all 4 versions of the Roboto fonts (Regular, Italic, Bold,...)
Now, when you go to create an icon through simple text and go to change your font, you should see the Roboto versions (or any other versions) you installed.

[Q] Replacing ICONs

Is it possible to replace the button icons with different images? For example depending on the theme you have the Mms icon is different. How can I chose just the icon I want out of the them instead of the whole theme?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824656
This thread has a bunch of icon packs you can download and it also tells you how to change the icons on your homescreen, dock and Appdrawer.
Hope this helps.
Which button(s) are you referring too? If it's on the home screen or dock it's fairly simple when using Go Launcher EX.
Simply long press the icon , wait for the pop-up menu, choose replace and you'll have the option to select Default icon, Theme's Icon or Custom icon.
If it's in the app drawer then it's a little harder as the icons are set within the theme package itself and as far as I know there is no way to change just one icon from here on the fly.
Thanks g4me0v3r.

[REQ] No icon text in homescreens

I like the sense widgets, but since trying other launchers I've come accustomed to having no ugly texts under icons.
Also, I always make the icons a bit smaller. I just think it looks sleeker...
Can it be done for Rosie?
For homescreens and dockbar you can use Desktop Visualizer. Doesn't work in App Drawer though. For changing icons in the dockbar you need to open the app itself instead of using widgets and don't forget to tic "Encode" or the icons will revert back to standard.

Interactive wallpapers - No Icons

So this is the concept:
Instead of having a wallpaper with custom Icons, you have a custom wallpaper with the icons designed on the wallpaper itself and the icons set to an invisible icon (Simply save an icon with "Simple Text-Text Icon Creator" without any text). This way you can design complex wallpapers with shapes that have the functions in the painting itself.
Just an idea that came to mind recently, you still have to drop the icons on the correct grid part though. You can change the icon using Apex or Nova launcher.
All the best
Current wallpaper
I have an invisible folder with my most used apps on the left and the gallery at the top. You can also name the folders with a space so only a panel comes up.
At the bottom are phone, messages, app grid and two apps.

Themes - Needing some help

Not sure if this should go in Q&A or Theme and Apps.
Basically, i've been looking over at mycolorscreen and i've noticed that people share their wallpapers.

You'll notice that the wallpaper has the icons already there. Now, how would I make the icons clickable. Are the icons invisible, if so what do I need to do this?
I'm not wanting the above theme, but quite a lot of homescreens have this.
Another good one is this

Okay it's a .psd but how would I then make the icons clickable within Apex?
I'm slightly confused...
Make a transparent icon with Adobe Photoshop or GIMP.
Then use Desktop Visualizer from the Android market.
Using this app put the icon you created over the specific part of the wallpaper(where the actual icon is) and then using Desktop visualizer assign an app to that transparent icon.So when you click the transparent icon,it will appear as if you are clicking the icon on the wallpaper.Hope i was clear..

Click to collapse
Just a quick question.
Photoshop - you mean on a computer? it's not a problem, I have it.
Also, whats the best dimensions? and what do I save it as, a .PNG? Jpeg? or PSD?

How to create themes (or at least edit them) for this device?

Remaining somehow unsatisfied with the available (free and paid) themes, I actually wonder how to edit lets say the background of the menus or the font colour by myself.
I mean, there are some great creations available but their numbers are small (new device, ok, that might change) and with every one of them I found things which don't look good or are less useable than desired and would require only small changes.
This is not to criticize the creators of the current works but mainly a plea to receive some kind of tool or help regarding small changes to an existing theme. Other than the icons or the wallpaper, the phone's apps don't allow for changing much.
So, to list:
- Change menu background
- Change font colour, perhaps text outline (mainly in menus)
- Change transparency of widgets
- Change colour of "enabled" vs. "disabled" sliders and buttons
- Change icon style (means if they are round, squared, etc.)
Things I've found so far, which may apply to the G7: How to change the nav bar colour. (that's a link from the mini review)
Edit:
Would SystemUI Tuner help? From the description, it does touch on UI items (hence the name) but wouldn't allow for the changes I've listed, no?
