Extended battery (LTE) and external charger? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Does anyone know if there is a external charger for the extended battery? I'd like to purchase 2 extended batteries if I can and an external charger would be nice.
Does the extended battery fit inside of the standard external battery charger?
I've thought about getting the extra standard battery + charger but I'd like the larger one if possible.

The extended battery fits in the standard external battery charger, but the lid won't be able to close (you have to keep it propped open).

Thanks!
I think i'm Ok with the open lid, don't plan to use it for anything else. As long as the batteries charge I'll be happy.

Which one are you referencing?
I'm in desperate need for an extra battery and an external charger, something like this is what I had for my GSII and it would be ideal for the Nexus.
Thanks!

Desktop Charging Cradle + spare battery

Does anyone know where I can get a desktop charger that charges my Nexus and a spare battery (which I am also looking for).
I had this one for the HTC Desire which was quite good.
spare battery charger here http://shop.htcpedia.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-battery-charger.html
that linked charger has pictures that state its for the galaxy S and Nexus S, which use a different battery than the galaxy nexus (nexus = 3 gold contacts, GSII and Nexus S = 4 contacts)
I've found only this kidigi.com /product_lv2.php?pid=1347 I know it's for galaxy note but both use microusb for charging.

only thing with that is it only charges phone
the main thing I would want is something to charge a battery seperatley so I can charge a spare battery whenever they become available
dont really see the benefit in a charging dock just for my phone

I believe you need to order the battery separately (they sell batteries too). It would be wayyy too cheap otherwise :S

Batteries/Chargers (Portable, Car, AC, etc...)

The Nitro battery is model number BL-49kh. Not many cheap OEM options out there right now, but an "official" spare can be purchased from AT&T store:

Here's a few charger options...
Portable Chargers
Duracell Portable USB Charger
Car Chargers
Motorola Vehicle Rapid Charger
Kensington HIGH Current car charger
Hybrid Chargers
Boxwave AC/Car/Airplane USB Charger

Well Tokie, for your car, u can use something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-Universal-Car-Charger-Pc-2ca/dp/B004YZI1T4
One of the ports will have a 1.5amp output and will suffice to charge your battery quickly.
And if you have a tablet or wanna go ultra crazy in charging your battery n burning it U can use something like this:
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0364269
That one has a 2.1amp output as well, enough power to burn a hole in your phone's battery LOL!!

I use 2.1 amp in the car and it charges pretty fast even while streaming spotify or radio through bluetooth with screen off. It helps to get through a day of heavy usage without swapping a baterry.

For those of you who are getting an external battery charger, will you let me know if it manages to charge the batteries to 100%? I currently use a universal battery charger, which worked great for my other phone batteries (would charge them quickly and fully, so when I popped them into my phone, it showed 100%), but for whatever reason, when I try to externally charge my Nitro's battery, no matter how long I leave it or put it back on the charger, it will only reach 88% or so. Then I have to fill up the rest by putting the battery in the phone and charging through USB. I know it's not my battery (I have two, and they both do it), so I'm just curious if other external battery chargers might be better. Let me know if it works for you! If it does I'll get whatever kind you have. I'd be super grateful, thanks!
I'm getting a legit LG battery charger specifically for the nitro. It'll take me about 2 weeks to get it (coming from LG itself in Korea) but when it gets here I'll try it n will let u know how it goes.

I ordered 1 extra battery AND the battery/batterycharger/cable from the ebay seller I mentioned earlier.
The batteries seem legit, they last just as long and have identical plastic casings. However, the two batteries I bought from ebay have a different sticker/label on them. They do not have the "FCC" markings on them or any other american legalese on them.
As far as the charger goes, it works great. I carry a battery in my wallet, one in the phone, and one in my backpack. I really like the peace of mind!
I also got mine from that Ebay seller. I'm confident it's legit. The build is identical, and it maintains charge and behaves exactly the same as the one that came with my phone. It's just probably the battery for the Asian Optimus lte, hence no fcc and different labeling. I'm not worried, and I'm pretty careful about batteries.
@red solo cup, do you know if the charger manages to bring the battery to 100%, ie, when you pop it in the phone and turn it on, do the battery stats actually say 100? My current charger brings it to around 90%, which is not bad, but if I'm going to buy another charger, I'd like it to max out the battery completely =) Thanks!
I have not checked Battery Monitor Widget immediately after putting in the battery, so I cannot absolutely confirm that the battery charges to 100%. However, I have noticed that the battery in the notification area was completely full, including the little "nub" on the left of it.
I will check this out when I get back from work tonight.
If the nub's full, it's at least at 95% I'm pretty sure.
Damn, I don't mind getting it from him, but he posted that it will take almost 20 days to a month for the item to get to me! That's frigging much too long for shipping something overseas. Things I get in China or HK doesn't even go beyond 2 weeks the longest.

@aquariuz: I really cannot recall how long shipping took as I ordered the battery on the 15, and the battery+charger on the 21st. I was away for the holidays, but by the time I got back to my place on the 28th they were both in my mailbox.
You're the best! Thanks a bunch! Ordering mine ASAP! =)
24v input
Has anyone found any dual USB (2.1a and 1a) with 12 - 24v input? I run crane and sadly in most of our cranes the Cig Lighter socket is running 24v.
I have a few 12 - 24v input single USB chargers with 1amp out but.. I'd love to find a dual. I have to run my speakers and charge my phone or mp3/RADIO -- seeing as how Optimus doesn't have a FM tuner

I found this on amazon. The specifications specifically state: "Input: 12-24V DC; Output: 5.0V DC 2.1Amp" Plus it is only 5.99+free shipping.
I have this and the specs on kensington's website state "Input: 10V-18VDC, Output (30pin/USB): 5VDC-3100mA.", So I assume that will not work.
so if i have to buy a car charger, what is the MAX specs i can use for the LG OPTIMUS LTE?

External battery charger?

Does anyone have a link to one compatible with the battery for the Verizon Nexus? I have an OEM extended battery, but I wanted to be able to charge my standard battery in case I need it. Anyone have any suggestions?
you mean something like this.
this one is for samsung batteries, and will fit most sizes with the adjustable slider, i'm using it for my Galaxy nexus, i'm sure if the pins are right the verizon battery should work too.
it comes in a package with a 1450mAh battery and comes free when I purchased the Gnex
this one on ebay should be ok, works with any battery, adjustable pins and slider for different battery size.

the one on ebay is a safe bet, works with any brand of batteries and has a USB for phone charging, but i'm sure the USB isn't powerfull enough, should be the usual 5V 500ma.
if you're not in a rush, i'm in china from 7-8, ill check them out for some better quality ones, and report back, as the ebay one is just a very cheap one in comparision to those that i've seen in china before.

Are you referring to Part#: SAMI405BOC? Verizon's (US) site states not compatible with the SGN but i'm sure it's the right one. There is even a review about it with the SGN. I had to switch my device to the Samsung Stratusphere to add it to my cart.
Might as well get the one that Verizon sells to ensure nothing goes wrong. I got it and enjoy it...very useful with phones like this. It comes with an extra battery, the external charger itself, and a splitter so you can charge your phone at the same time.

YB307 cost USD 7.20
DC-IT007 cost USD 5.50
both can use for any phone battery, any brand, so you dont need to buy a desktop charger for every phone.
YB307 also has a USB socket to charge your phone or any USB device, connects direct to the mains through a 2 flat pin plug.
DC-IT007 connects to power through a nokia mini pin connector/microUSB/miniUSB, so you can charge using your PC or mains socket.

Which battery should I get?

I can either get a replacement battery, 2 of them + a charger for $25. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Anker-1900mA...ccessories&hash=item4ab3e5b7e8#ht_2690wt_1252
Or an external very portable battery 2600mAh for $25

Or external battery (not as portable) 3600mAh for $25.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Anker-Extern...ccessories&hash=item4cfeea48ef#ht_6381wt_1361
All the same price. I'm thinking of getting the colorful anker battery. I could charge the phone while both are in my pocket. Since it's more than one charge, I don't have to worry since I can easily charge the battery again.
Or I can get a single Anker battery for $18.

I agree 100%. It's the battery they should have included as standard, but i'd reckon the marketing department wanted the lesser capacity battery so they could say how thin the phone is.
Any way, i got a couple of generic batteries off ebay, and my god they were awful to use. Maybe it was my experience, but the phone would get so warm using them and they would drain in less time than the genuine battery even though they were the same capacity.
Maybe it's just my experience, but i'd go genuine from now on based on what happened to me.
Hearing a lot of positive feedback for the anker battery... Might try it myself...

Anker
Recommend anker, 1 year of user.
The Amazon reviews of the Astro3 external USB backup battery are impressive. Reports of people charging a phone and an iPad2 (a greedy device if ever there was one), charging two devices while watching video on one, etc. Very tempting for the price, it sounds like just the thing for a cross-country plane flight.

Spare Battery Charger ?

Does anyone know of a decent (1Amp) charger for a spare stock/extended battery that is actually working well? I've used the ebay cheapos and one from Hyperion[http://amzn.com/B00851MEB4] but they are either take forever to charge(0.5A or less output current) or falsely claim the battery is full whereas the phone says otherwise?
I presume the Samsung charging system will be a good fit, but i'm not sure if it will take extended battery.
bump? anyone know of any 1A chargers for a spare battery?
I bought the OEM battery kit. It comes with a spare battery and a charger along with a built in dock. The dock doesn't charge your phone only the battery . It's about $35 . Not bad for an OEM battery and charger .

I ended up ordering this one to use with my GSIII batteries. It arrives today.

It looks like the answer is: No!
I charged my battery (Stock Samsung battery) overnight. This morning the charger was indicating that the charging was complete. When I swapped out the batteries the phone is reporting 93% (4110mV). I am going to try again tonight with my other battery (also stock).
Samsung makes an official spare battery charger/dock that comes with a spare battery. You can find it on amazon for around $35.
I got Momax U. Pack Charger Pack ( Charge + X-LEVEL PDA Battery ) from NCIX.COM....is better then the samsung one.
