unable to boot at all

Hi i have the htc desire i have been using different roms and trying the hd roms out lately, the last rom i used was the z port from from roblix i used the data 2 sd version.
i decided i didnt want the data2sd and i wanted to go back to the a2sd like i had been used to so i used gparted to remove all the partitions from my sd card and repartitioned it to the correct thing to use a2sd.......
i went into recovery and wiped all the things from the phone getting ready to flash but after i wiped the phone rebooted.....well it wouldnt
from that point on the phone will not boot normally because i removed the things with wiping all data....and it will not go into recovery either i had amon ra recovery image flashed to my phone.....which all worked hundreds of times before....
all i can do now is get to hboot menu or fastboot menu if i select recovery from there the phone goes off and comes to the first screen where it hangs for ever.
please advise what i can do to fix my phone to get recovery back again
If your S-Off you can flash a recovery again through fastboot. Erm... I can't remember how to do it if your not so you will have to search the forums for the solution or Google it. If you wanted to, you could use an RUU (and a Goldcard if necessary to bypass the verification) but you would have to root again.
i have tried to flash recovery-RA-desire-v2.0.0.img via fastboot and it said it flashed ok but it wont boot to recovery still ..... the phone reboots and just sticks on the first boot screen and does nothing else at all
any other ideas
Try CWM 2.5.0.7? Install an RUU to reset it back then just root it again?

[Q] HELP!!! I think I bricked it

I accidentally applied the radio as an update instead of installing it as a zip and I rebooted. Now I can't boot into recovery or the rom. I guess because it was overwritten by a radio. All I get it a little android guy and a box with an arrow coming out of it. What can I do?
plcae a pc36img file of a rom, preferrably stock, on the root of the sd card, reboot and it will flash. From there, you can flash recovery again
I just tried bootin up again and let it sit for a while. It eventually did and I reflashed CWM through ROM manager. Problem solved. Thanks.
Not all problems are solved. CWM?? ROM Manager??? Yeesh....

help with instaling the ROM

Hi Guys,
This is first time I'm going it and obviously I'm missing some step...
I have HTC Desire HD (the european version) I successfully unlock the bootloader. Successfully installed the clockwork recovery on my recovery partition and I'm able to start installing the ROM from the SD card in the zip file, some ROMS even have wizard to go thru like the "Xperia UI mod" and so, but after the installation and the first reboot the phone never boots up successfully, it always freeze with black screen after htc animation at beginning...
Any idea what I'm doing wrong please? Thank you.

If you are S-ON user and you are trying a rom with custom kernel you have to flash it manually from your bootloader.Just extract the kernel from the zip you was going to flash with recovery to the folder you have fastboot and give the command fastboot flash boot boot.img.
It should solve your problem. You can always S-OFF your device or you can use 4EXT Recovery Touch
great,
that totaly worked, the trick is to flash the boot before installing the ROM not after...
Thank you Sir!

[Q] Any way to keep my recovery

Can anybody advise me how i can keep my recovery (TRWP), every time i try a new ROM zip it gets wiped and a new type of recovery tool gets installed ie CWM or CM recovery which then makes it impossible to restore a TWRP back up. I then have to set up FlashTool and Fastboot install a .img from a rom with TWRP recovery. Then i can restore. Seems a pain in the but. I have previously rooted other devices ie Kindle Fire hd and never lost or over written recovery sectors when flashing new roms.

Here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...-recoveries-custom-roms-t3016507/post58515438
The reason this happen is that Xperia smartphones do not have recovery partition. The recovery is part of the kernel (boot.img), so the kernel comes with a recovery. The link above has a recovery with is flashed onto the FOTA (over-the-air) upgrade partition, which is not used if you have an unlocked bootloader.
Works great
Thanks for that. I had previously tried it but used the latest twrp zip file instead of the 2 in lower box and recovery was totally unstable. However now done FOTA-TWRP.zip and flashed 2 different roms retaining twrp recovery everytime.
