Hi,
What do you use to manage task and to do list?
I am lookig for an app that have these:
- good matching with ICS user interface
- support Google Calendar
Previously, I used Astrid, but this app is ugly.
I use any.do from the marketplace

The app is very nice looking (modern and sleek) and works great. I would also recommend it.
The only thing i wish is that it would sync with exchange if desired. It will sync with your gmail if you wish.
I tried Any.Do, it is nice looking.
But the widget is not that good.
It should be ok though, because I will use Pure Calendar Widget.
The only problem, Any.Do is not yet supported.

tasks
Gtasks by dato is excellent for large task lists, and mutiple (much better than any.do) as you can side swype to access lists.
I have tried just about everything, keep coming back to gtasks as it is solid, syncs perfectly well to google tasks. It also is supported in widget form by agenda widget which is incredible. the gtatsks one is average but combined with agenda widget, it is unbeatable. So if you syncing with google tasks, this is it, if it is stand alone then astrid, if it is small lists then any.do is pretty.
edit: Having re read OP, gtasks doesnt well sync with calendar..... sry
I'm using Due Today.
Only drawback, not much sync option at time.
I have been using Taskos. Can't fault it and it has all of the functionality that the OP mentions. It also has a decent widget as well...
Astrid
I use "Yata todo list" from the market.
the widget is cool.
Astrid paid version, 4 x3, transparent.
I would go with astird combined with astrid power pack

What apps do you use most? The facebook/twitter widget is number one on my list for most used, but it has a lot of room from improvement. In the home skype gets used the most due to poor cell coverage. And outside I would say google nav is my most used. Even in areas I am familiar with I still use it for reference and incase I have a craving for that unknown restaurant the epic can show me the way.
I made a short video covering the homepage apps on youtube. I am too new to post a link...strange as I have post links before. Anyways go to youtube and look for kraisydave.

I'm looking for a great app that integrates google's calendar and tasks, with a very slick interface that makes it easy to plan my day, prioritize tasks, etc. But it also needs to not interfere with my ability to use Calendar and Tasks on my PC at home and at work.
I've tried Astrid, which is having problems with google sync. I am currently using BeOrganized, which looks nice, but does not have all the functionality I'd like.
I like business calendar for calendar.

This, if for nothing else but the widgets. My only gripe about it is there isn't an option for a dark calendar view rather than the all white. Still the best calendar app I've used.
I use GTasks for quick notes of to-do lists, then Touch Calendar for everything else. I'm not into these dark apps, so I chose them based on their bright, visual appeal.
I like Jorte, but honestly, when I started using it nothing else supported tasks and calendar at all. So I haven't had a chance to compare it to the newer crop of apps.
+ 1 for Jorte. It syncs with google calendar and tasks.

Hey guys,
I have finally decided to make the switch to Android with this phone, however I do have a question I was hoping to answer before I switch...
One of the features I missed on my Iphone was being able to turn on my phone and have the homescreen display my outlook calendar and to do list(windows phone). I have tried doing some research and some hands on the Verizon store so I know about widgets...although the ones on the droidx I played with were very small.
So my question is...can I set my homescreen to give me half the screen worth of outlook events/tasks and then move everything else to other pages? Sorry if this is a repeat/stupid question but I appreciate the help!
The calendar app has a widget which will show your calendar apps, you can sync to outlook via various means including exchange activesync for your e-mail.
You also can download a app like Jorte it has several different widgets sizes like. 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 of the screen size.
I use Launcher Pro Plus. Great widgets (calendar, agenda, facebook, tweeter, etc). I hope app will get updated for ICS
Also the CalenGoo app has tonnes of different size widgets for all your needs!

this looks like it will work great!
soon as I switch there will be no more excuses why I forgot to do something!
you can also install widget locker and display all of this on your lock screen (the initial screen you see when you turn the screen on)
Haha as you see there are many ways to do things on Android. +1 for Possibility.
you can do almost anything on android. super customizable! That's the beauty of Android.
Jorte can do this
There is also an app called Pure that is a highly customizable widget for your ToDo app of choice and Calendar, and looks much better IMHO. Jorte is the best calendar I've seen and that's what I use as an app, but with Pure you can skin the widget (I like highly transparent) and set all sorts of options so it looks perfect on the home screen...
So yes, the beauty of Android is you have TONS of options to do what you are looking for... Granted I haven't used an iPhone before, but I venture to guess you'll have many more options than you have now.
Hi,
Having taken delivery of my new Nexus 7 yesterday, I'm going through that stage if loading up apps I was used to on my Defy. I was immediately impressed by the new look of the calendar, but not happy with the lack of widgets, so thought I'd load up Business Calendar, as it had served me well, but it would seem that it doesn't like tablets, all but the ICON + x EVENTS widget look terrible stretched on a big screen.
Can anyone recommend a decent calendar app with the functionality of Business Calendar, but great HD widgets, including agenda, weekly, monthly etc... Preferably with ability to change size of fonts etc...

CalenGoo is very nice - like the color coding of multiple calendars and is easy to read.

aCalendar with Android Pro Widgets...or just use business calendar with APW
Touch calendar, it's free.
Tapatalking from my Paranoid Android Nexus 7
I have tried a few, but still sticking with "Pure Calendar".
Seems the best one with modest amount of options/settings.
On the plus side, the widget size of Pure Calendar is excellent on the N7.
Try wizz widgets. It has agenda and month view widgets. You can even try they provide version for more features.

I love the stock (samsung?) calendar as I am able to hover over events, and its ease of use. I also use a lot of the task/todo function it offers, but I notice that it does not sync with google tasks... which is not a biggie... but what I do want is a home screen widget to display tasks.
Is there a widget to that will display the (samsung?) calendar todo list to display on one of my home screens?
Just go to apps > widgets , then there is 3 different calender widgets to choose from... not sure if this is what you are wanting?
Google play store> GTasks app. Has some widgets. Not sure if thats what you wanted.
