Does the optimus LTE phone use the same battery as the Nitro HD? If it does, then try looking for that one.

$40 for the "official" spare battery from AT&T:
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-ph...ssoryBucket&q_sku=sku5520227#fbid=aQi6sm_4Fs8
Item SKU: 40856(Standard Li-Ion 1830 mAH Battery - LG Nitro (TM) HD)
Battery Model: BL-49kh (Made by SunPow Industrial).
Did some preliminary searches on 'BL-49kh' but not much luck...So it seems the only option at the moment is an official one.
Is there a way to call LG and complain about a bad battery and then they'll ship you a new one, just so we can get a spare battery for free? I know it works with Motorola; I called them and complaint that it was draining much too fast for what it should be, they asked a few simple question, and boom, they shipped me a new one for free.

Yes, they are BOTH LG-P930
For the price, I personally prefer a portable USB Charger. It's more versatile (a spare battery is only going to work in that particular phone) and doesn't require popping the back of the phone off and swapping out the battery and having to reboot.
Here's a decent one for a decent price too:

That is a great idea, never rly thought of doing it dat way. I just don't like how I have to be attached to the charger device that's all
I might just try to get the battery from LG directly for free and buy the AC charger for it.
Why don't anybody try calling LG Cust. Service and see whether they will ship you one for free? Just say it's defective and drains too fast. I'd try but I don't have the phone yet rofl!

It usually takes a while for spare parts and batteries to show up. Your best bet is probably to check if any other phone uses the exact same battery.

the battery in the GN has the nfc reader built-in. I can't think of another handset that has a battery with a built in nfc reader, so it looks like people will need to wait for a GN specific battery.

They do list the right capacity for the battery, and I would've expected £30 for it considering it has the NFC aerial built in also.

Awesome. I had their Anker batter for my Sensation and I really loved it. I have been keeping an eye out for since I switched to this.
I am coming from the myTouch 4G Slide. I have the 2 Anker Battery pack with the charger (Would link here to amazon but still havent posted 8 times - Just search Amazon for "Anker 2 mytouch 4g slide" and it should be the 1st one)
Can anyone confirm if this Anker "Universal Charger" will work OK recharging the Samsung OEM batteries for the SG2? I need to invest in a 2nd battery and since Anker is late to the party here I wanted to be sure I won't ruin the OEM batt if I use this universal charger.

Just checked on Amazon by keyword searching, and happened to find actually Anker already have t989 battery for sale.
Here is the buying link:

I'm confused...why is this better than the stock battery? It appears to be rated for less juice and it doesn't have NFC.

usually it has more than stock, and the battery time is about equivalent to stock for about 1/3 of the price, that's probably why people like it.

Hi All! I came across a supplier that has nexus 5 extended batteries 3830 MAH that are plug and play.
These will replace your original battery and wont add any bulk to your phone.
They will be $35 shipped in the U.S.
Please make a list of everyone that is interested.
Well, other than not knowing the actual quality/longevity of the battery, or if it really gives 3830mAh, $35 is steep. Considering you can get it for $15.99 + shipping from aliexpress, you can pick up 2 for that price.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Brand-KBTEL-battery-BLT9-BATTERY-BLUE-3830MAH-HIGH-REPLACEMENT-BATTERY-FOR-LG-nexus-5-D821-D820/1769272899.html
That is gonna be a pile of crap another dodgy chinese battery just like those gold ones that you can get for htc sensation.
Dont touch it!
Guys, LG is one of the few companies which actually makes their own batteries (through the LG Chem subsidiary). This means they can put very good batteries in their phones with little additional cost. Do you really think some cheap chinese batteries probably made somewhere on a ship can have a better capacity/volume ratio than the ones provided by LG?
my guess is the OP is someone who is selling/supplying the batteries and the first post they ever put is this waste of time, go and advertise somewhere else.
Adding that much juice, in a battery that's the same size? Pretty sure that's impossible. Nice try, though.
i guess ill have to try it out and post results.

I was reading all the post and no body says if already get a new battery replacement for the Nexus 5, I'm in the USA for vacation and I want to buy one battery for a future replacement. Please share your experience with us or say where can we buy a new one (OEM or equivalent)in a store or online. Thanks.
You will get the same type of original battery. And opening your nexus 5 may void warranty (LG services center "conditions apply" ). But for future replacement, I don't think anything will happened to this battery. LCD Screen (with digitizer assembly) should be your choice for future replacement.
So for USA, you can buy battery here is your link: (Its original battery.)

It's generally not recommended to buy a battery for "future replacement" because the battery is always degrading even just sitting on your shelf. It's recommended to buy a replacement battery only when you require the replacement battery.

Oh I see, I guess ordering it online isn't really an option from your home country? I don't think there will be any retail store with OEM Nexus 5 batteries, I think you would need to get it from a website such as etradesupply or equivalent.

You are right, we don't have a retail store who sell OEM parts or an official LG service, so I have to buy it here. In Colombia you can buy original parts for the most popular cells in the country but the Nexus 5 isn't one of them because they (Google) don't sell it there. I have to import it
I bought my nexus 5 directly in the play store, I have to buy the battery for the D820 version, for the D821 version or it doesn't matter? Thanks to all.
They all have the same internal specs. The battery should be fine, just as the screens and anything else.

cant you just buy one on eBay and have it posted to you when you need a replacement? as someone said earlier if you buy a replacement now but don't use it for a year it will not be as good as a new battery

I haven't decided to replace mine, yet. Fortunately, I can charge often and carry a power bank.
I bought the Polarcell 2450 mAh on the bay, for 23€
Battery life is now simply amazing.
Charging time is a little bit long (I don't enable the fast charge kernel option that scr#wed my previous original battery)
I couldn't reccomend it more. I can do a whole day with intense use.
Of course I use greenify, and tweak some CPU/voltage options
