I am fond of Go Launcher and I keep reading every now and then that its drains battery. Can anyone confirm? Is it huge differnece in drain when compated to TW Launcher?

hmmmm, why dont you do this one day use goLauncher and check out your battery status and then the next day use TWLauncher and test it out... Because the best person to answer your question is you... You will get both sides of it or nothing at all so do your own research and get back to us....
I'm a Launcherpro guy. I tried GO and it was pretty but when I saw it appear in my battery report with 5% usage, I figured that can't be good. I don't need pretty that much. To be honest, I could be happy with the old Msdos menu box gui.
Thank you

thats why I told you to do your own test - hence first hand use information... not being a jerk just being honest because if you have been around these forums like I have there are yes and no for the same stuff... Ok GoLauncher vs any other launcher IMO does not eat up any battery life but for others it may... Just trying to help you out my friend but I guess you dont want to do the leg work yourself...
I was a former Go Launcher guy as well, until I noticed the usage of it. Switched to LauncherPro and have been enjoying 25+ hours on my phone unplugged now. LauncherPro doesn't seem to lag at all with the E4GT either.

Actually, Launcherpro never lagged on my Moment, either. In fact, its the only 3rd party launcher I've never seen lag on.
Go Launcher sometimes has lag on my ET. I don't care for ADW, but it also had occasional lag, and in fact, when I see it running on CM7 devices far better than my Moment, I see that it has lag sometimes, too.

And I'm thinking about picking it up. I currently have the Epic 4G and I had the Evo and honestly..I just dont like how Android is doing things. Spent more time tweaking and messing with it instead of using it as a phone and it still bugs me :/
But the point of this thread wasnt to bring that up..here's what I'd like to know:
This is how I use my phone. A few calls. I used to text a whole bunch...then I realized how dumb that was so now I only send about 20 a day. I listen to music a sht ton and I also use the browser a sht ton as well. I, however, dont use any apps other than the apps given to me from the get-go.
Would any windows phone 7's battery life be able to cover those things for at least 4-5 hours? Also, what are the biggest issues with windows phone 7 right now? And by that I simply mean problems that can be found on all phones, not just things that you dont like personally.
And I was googling and youtubing trying to answer those things for myself and I saw this one video..and this guy went to the bottom of the screen and on the bottom right it had what looked like some XBL stuff...the games on these phones run multiplayer through XBL?

WP7 should do this perfectly fine. The browser is great, with zune listening to Music is perfect. And from what I hear battery life in general is great.

The major issues currently are, it can't connect to a hidden wifi network, the marketplace is a little buggy and will crash at times, no copy/paste if that matters to you. Though the marketplace and c/p are getting fixed in the update that is coming out in the next week or so.

Full multiplayer isn't there...yet. Turn based multi-player is however
Battery life on WP is better than android in my opinion (definately depends on battery size, etc).
Windows phone is nice, I was sick of android (had an evo on sprint) as well so I jumped ship over to AT&T and got the focus. Windows phone is a breath of fresh air. Android is just so choppy and hacked together... Gingerbread is nice, but still slow compared to windows.
Yeah I have been thinking about getting the Arrive (pro7)on sprint when its released. I have played around with WP7 a few times when I go to Best Buy, and I like the simplicity of the UI. its almost like the difference between iOS and Honeycomb. I love android to death, I'm just ready for a change I guess. It's worth a try anyway, if I don't like it I can always go back to my EVO or my Shift. And from what I have read about the Arrive on Sprint, it will come with copy and paste out of the box on the 20th.

Seriously? That's all? I'm liking WP7 already! Well..I mean those are problems and I dont like problems but I dont even go to the market on my epic and I dont use wifi...I probably wouldnt have even noticed those things if I had the device and nobody brought it up.

Well I saw that this one WP7 phone had like a 1200mah battery and it got 12 hours which is pretty impressive even with medium use. I think the one for sprint will have atleast a 1500mah so Im excited! And yeah, Android is just so damn choppy...and Android does get A LOT of things right but at the same time, they get a lot wrong...which wouldnt be a problem if they planned on fixing those issues but I just dont see any fixes in the future. The OS is too busy trying to steal the gamers from iOS...providing a smooth experience just doesnt seem top priority right now...and thats a shame.

I have the option to exchange my nitro back in and get a g note. I am not quite satisfied with my nitro with its sick amount of lag. I have rooted, removed bloatware, and even did a factory reset. This phone scores better than my atrix, but it sure as hell don't feel like it. Is flashing rom required on this thing for getting rid of lag. By lag I mean press an icon and it lags 2-3 secs sometimes it does nothing and I have to press it 2-3 times. Would you trade in or not? Give me your thoughts. Thanks.
Ya I've noticed and gotten used to it but if I had the choice I would. Personally I want the sgs2 HD Lte. Or a T-Mobile version would be nice. If you aren't satisfied though try out the note. Not much to lose
I would in a heartbeat...I'm looking to sell mine to help foot the cost of a Note...I just happen to miss the 30 day buyer's remorse so don't have the chance to exchange but that's definitely my plan of action.
Good luck!

You may do all you like of cause. For me I wouldn't, P930 is meant to be selling with ICS ROM, not 2.3, so my opinion is to judge when LG OTA ICS update become available. Maybe some CM9 will appear. But anyway I seem not 2 be irritated by any annoticeable lag, I mainly use apps, browser, games, videoplayer and I just don't care about any touchwiz, sense, ADW and other nonsense stuff like that
Do you really notice lag, say, in Battlefield BC2? In Modern Combat? In Shadowgun?

Yeah, its one of those products that would greatly benefit from a trial period, with the full version. Let you try everything, just for a limited time. Don't know if that's possible for them...

few other things i noticed:
-only default theme is available (not surprised here)
-very VERY smooth with neat animations
-takes a little to get used to (i keep tying to swipe left and right on the main launcher screen to change screens - that's not the case anymore)
-for the weather it says i'm in a city 20 minutes away
-hitting menu brings up: add, manage apps wallpaper, themes, tsf homepage (brings up browser), and system settings
-cool animations, kinda like what one would expect in golauncher
-after downloading new app, the app shows fire on it like advertised - however, the fire doesn't animate while in the launcher unless you switch screens. not too worried about this lol.
-doesn't look exactly like the one on the video they provided months ago. not a good or bad thing as the changes are only minor.
-giant button at bottom right is cutting off one the bottom-left-most app. can't see the whole thing.
kinda like spb shell (from what i've read), there aren't many settings like other launchers.
Well I couldnt hold back, I bought it for the 15 min refund time and well, I refunded it. It was extremely smooth. Loved the animations, hated the price. Way too much for something that doesnt give you a lite version to get used to before making the leap.

I’m curious about what impact this launcher has on the battery life.
If you could post your thoughts after you have a few days to let it set in, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks
They are smoking crack asking that much for a launcher when you have Go and other launchers for free.

for today, I took my phone off the charger at 11am, and it's now 8:20pm - I still have 41% battery street moderate use, GPS and wifi on. Compared to go launcher that I was using, it seems it has better battery life. However, one day isn't long enough to tell.

Loss of signal/radio drops when at idle and high battery consumption.

I bought one on the day Google put them on their Play Store. I am getting really bad lag when i scroll between home pages. I got it with 4.0.4 installed(stock).
I absolutely love the phone (ordered another one already in transit), beside some lags that require reboot to make it disappear. Btw, I've only installed less than 5 apps (Netflix, T-mobile app, Chrome browser, Speed Test, Chase app).
I just dont know why it lags when browsing the web and scrolling btw home pages. The phone is only a few days old and I would really appreciate any help.
I have had nothing but Android phones (primarily) since the Nexus One originally came out. And I get bored with things real quick. I know Android is the best mobile OS at the moment but man, I am really getting bored of the same old thing every day and the new BB Z10 looks quite appealing..
Anyways, whats some stuff I could do to hopefully cure my boredness? I know about launchers but Apex, Nova and even GO all kinda look and feel the same. What are some things I could do to spruce them up a bit? I have tried new icons and slightly different arrangements but haven't had much luck.
Any ideas?

i often get bored when things settle and i dont flash a rom (with a purpose-new features etc..) or change the look of my homescreens for a while too
I feel the same way. Right now I have my phone exactly the way I want and the things I want running Jedi Masters 10:
1. Free hotspot tethering
2. Working Google Wallet
3. Wifi calling
4. Great speed and good battery life
5. some tweaks like auto-correct samsung keyboard, s-pen keyboard switcher (don't use)
I pretty much don't have anything else I need. The only thing I haven't done is update to the latest LTE firmware. I'm thinking about flashing the new Frosty rom, but it's missing the samsung and google wallet features. I'm sure I can just manually get these features in by tweaking but am just too lazy.
So kinda boring here but in a good way.
I think if you get the z10, it'll give you that couple of weeks of freshness and after that you'll need something new again...that's just the way it is.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up for me too, everything is working 100% properly with no bugs but I just want something different. Back in my HTC days I'd probably be bunny hopping between CM and Sense right now lol. But then again, not everything would be working and there would be tons of bugs so..
