I'd say it's pretty much confirmed and should be released in the next few months when Sprint's new network updates are completed in those markets. For sure by June this year.

By then the sgs3 will be right around the corner making this nexus a bit outdated.

I will take either as long as LTE is available in Denver and St. Louis by then. Otherwise, sticking with my SGS2.

I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't hit the shelves until May or June.

Would make sense for Sprint since that's nearing the LTE rollout for the first few cities.

I know our phones won't support LTE, but will they benefit from the 3g upgrades?
I don't do a lot of video streaming so 4g really isn't a big deal for me. If I could forfeit the ability to use it for the $10 a month fee to be cut out, I would

Lte is available on it. Its just going to be awhile for sprint to get it up and running. But it has the hardware.

All devices get out of date quickly these days. Heck, a new asus transformer tablet was announced with some added goodies but not much. It's just about picking a device you like and going with it.

USB port is defective??

My brother owns a Samsung Conquer and the phone started prompting to choose what type of connection he wanted (charging,usb ect). It would also turn off and on by itself but do it constantly. I tried resetting it but it still doesn't work. I have tep but on my e4gt. What are my best options? Will Sprint want to charge me for fixing it? Thanks in advance for your POSITIVE suggestions

What????? Also YOU probably should look up sprint's policy on servicing devices experiencing hardware failure as opposed to posting nonsense in the wrong forum about a topic that can be better answered by looking at 1. Sprints website 2. Sprint online chat 3. Sprint telephone support (*2 from your sprint device!) or 4. By any employee at a sprint store... just saying... should all of those options fail there's this new thing they tell me the kids are calling "the google's", that may also help...

Sprint is now packing in an app called Sprint Connection Optimizer on many of the latest OTA updates. This will make it check for the best connection to use in this order: (Wi-Max Market) Wi-Fi, 4G, 3G; (Non-WiMax market): Wi-Fi, 3G. This is an effort to free up capacity on the data network for people who are just stuck on 3G cruise control when they don't realize better connections are available around them, such as WiFi or WiMax. Our 3G network is starting to vomit all over itself, so while we wait for the long-term solution (Network Vision) to roll out, they are using the Sprint Connections Optimizer as a short-term band-aid solution.

Working fine in Kennesaw, i believe its been turned on for awhile.
edit: I'm on ATT, not sure which carrier you're referring to.

Are you asking about Sprint or Verizon?
Cause I get 27mbps down and 19Mbps up on Verizon at my home in Acworth and 37/27 at work in Vinnings.

I believe there was an outage on Verizon in some areas because of the storm.

Maybe Sprint really is waiting till tomorrow. We got an email at work they would turn it on a day early in preperation for launch 7/15. I will keep post updated if I see it switched on.

OK it is turned on in Douglasville GA but is spotty at the moment. I was able to do one speed test.

Yes I believe they are. This is in preperation for the official launch tomorrow.

I'm at Avondale train station in Atlanta here is another test. But I still think there slowly turning it on since it goes in and out

ohhhh i got excited, I switched mine on. No LTE here; yet. (says lilburn, ga over there <<<)

Douglasville,GA on and off.

I live in Lawrenceville and can say lte isn't turned on around me yet. Although looking at the coverage map, I should be seeing it! Hopefully sooner than tomorrow.
