Hi, I am a Windows Phone developer. I am looking into developing a DNLA app for WP7. What I would like to know is which DLNA features does everyone want the most? The DLNA spec is huge and not everything can be implemented at the same time, so I need to make sure the feature everyone wants is implemented first.
Can you please answer the poll.
Thanks, Lee
poll fail, can a mod please delete this thread and i'll start again

A question was asked on yelp's Facebook page, "Will yelp be updating the Windows Phone 7 app anytime soon??".
The answer: "Unfortunately, not in the near timeframe. Believe it or not, we're still a very small team and as such, our priorities lie with the platforms that see the most engagement (iPhone and Android) BUT, we are actively hiring for more mobile developers, so if you know anyone, please send them our way and I'll also tell our team we have some eager folks out there who'd appreciate an update."
Not the answer I was looking for. I thought I would share this information here to create buzz and/or maybe a developer might be looking for an opportunity with yelp.
I miss checking in, uploading images, and writing reviews on the mobile app for yelp that I had used previously on the iPhone and Android and hoping to get this updated on the WP7. Anyone else wanting an update for yelp?
Edit: Can someone please post this link (facebook.com/yelp/posts/110435869032330?notif_t=share_reply) I'm new here and it won't allow me to link it.
Maybe they should provide proper APIs like other social networks so we don't have to rely on their small team -_-

That would be nice as well.
Hey guys,
I'm a Windows Phone dev who's thinking of maybe starting an open source WP7 project, if I can find a few other people who'd be interested and if anyone has an idea for an application which people would want?
Drop a response here if you're interested
I would but I just started learning programming,. But I would be a tester fir sure.

audio hub for omnia of course with equalizer please thx
Windows Phone needs a good podcast app.
I'd love an app to rival DoggCatcher on Android. It would allows you to subscribe to feeds, download episodes, and listen to them, all within the app.
I plan on working on this if/when I get my Windows Phone device.
yeah would love to see a decent podcast app that can download podcast rather than just stream.
Podcast apps on marketplace is great but with 1Gb limit on data cant do alot of streaming
GPS application with offline map
I would be interested in working on this. And by the way, SlapDash Podcasts lets you download/subscribe/stream podcasts, I don't know why it's less popular than the other ones in the Marketplace.
I will be a beta tester if you want.. I know a little about programming but not so confident..

I am willing to help you if I can. just let me know.
shinaku,
Are you a seasoned developer, or just starting to learn?
I was thinking of a simple application that could prove to be a bit challenging to implement. Specifically I am thinking of a remote touch pad application. You will connect this app (client) to a computer, which has a service installed. The app will send mouse commands like move, click, etc to the service, which in turn will control the mouse cursor on the computer.
What do you think about this?
I would love to see a Gameboy Advance emulator. I have no skill at programming, but I can help with the graphics (already have some layouts created from my work on the Zune HD gameboy emulator).
I will volunteer my device for testing if you need. Unfortunately I don't have the time to co-op a open source project. Best of luck though.
I've not seriously programmed since I was 10-12 years old and Peek'd/Poke'd my way through in BASIC on my C=64. I'm wanting to create an app to use on my phone and even release into Marketplace for others. It's a general Ballistics program. I've noticed there is nothing out there that I can find for the hobby or competitive shooter. If someone else wants to take up the challenge, please feel free. But, if not, I'd be willing to do one if I can find the programs to help with this. Also, does anyone have any books or other sites that will explain the programing languages needed to make a current (Mango) compatible app.
Thanks
JTMcD.

I'm with you!
I don't want to create a feed based app either, mine is strictly texted based with a search feature. Not quite as easy as it looks
I've spent all day looking at the attached document. It's a small tutorial on WP development.

Hello everybody,
We are a two member team with an application idea that we think could be useful for a lot of people. We have a list of features and a complete UI design plan. A video showing the features is also being created.
The application is intended to handle the notifications in a smarter way. To achieve that, we need a Google Chrome extension also. (Please notify us in your e-mail, whether you have already experience in developing Chrome extensions!).
With a simple and easy to use interface, this app is only intended for doing a few things, but doing those efficiently and fast.
We do not have a business, or any money. Our payment for a developer would be a % cut of the revenues, or we could try crowdfunding the idea. If it works out, we could partner up for future projects too, because we have an another app idea also (it is significantly bigger and much harder to make).
If you are interested in more details and UI design pictures, PM, or send an email to [email protected]
Please only write if you think that this idea has potential. If you have previous experience from developing an app, please include a link of that in your message.
Thank you!
Vloggy need some developers to develop the Android version of Vloggy on voluntary base.
Vloggy is the newest social media platform, completely devoted to vlogging. With the app we want to make vlogging easier and cheaper so it is possible for everyone with a smartphone to start with it!
Everything you need will be put into just one app. Camera access, editing software and of course, a social platform to share your vlogs. Everything, in just one touch.
Do you want more information about our idea?
