Best way to Root and Best Rom?

Hi im hoping someone could help me please im thinking of rooting my wifes wildfire but i want a stable rom for it because the wife does not now how to sort any problems out she may have when running a custom rom.
Im wanting to know the quickest way to root and the most stable rom there is for
it im no noob with rooting etc just want someone to point me in the right direction please.

IMO the most stable roms are the sense roms but I have put cm7 stable on my girlfriends wildfire and she has never had any problems with it, in fact she likes it more now as she can customize it better, you know pink icons,wallpaper theme etc etc

Lmao small world, I live in rotherham too, originally from brinsworth but just moved to broom.

Lol i would divorce her if she took my phone

Lol if she wants to customize it cm7 is the way to go, the nightlies have more features but I'm pretty sure she won't even notice them. There is a new stable version on the way soon which will have all the new features that are already in the nightlies.

Thankyou Cyan is the best cant wait for cm9

I really don't think we'll get cm9 officially but I think something is in the pipeline for ics on wildfire as its already been proven that it runs ok, we just need one of the top dogs to work out the other bugs.

why so pesimistic? the ics roms ive tried so far are working great! i dont think cm will be given up that easily

Hes dropping the original motorola droid, so i would not imagine him keeping the wildfire supported

Temple run for armv6

I'm running Cyanogen mod 9 alpha 2.
I saw many people having temple run on their wildfire s. I found temple run for armv6 and installed it. The game runs but gets stuck on menu screen. I mean you can't go anywhere past the menu screen.
Anyone else having the same problem or just me?
I tried 1.0.2 & 1.0.3 as well. Same issue.
So any fix?

its of no use coz temple run for armv6 has sudden death issues...player dies suddenly without a reason..

Temple Run isn't designed for Armv6 devices, so any versions that you find that open on the Wildfire S are unofficial ports of the game. You shouldn't expect them to work.

I did have temple run and it worked fine back on aokp. I will look to see if I can find the apk on my PC anywhere but its unlikely I'll be able to find it lol.

I have it......and it runs without lag on cm7. Actually it runs better than angry bird.

Hi
Guys i am trying to make a rom by reading this
.So as this thread says i need a "clean CM9, AOSP, CM7, CM10 ROM which is running on your device as Base ROM". I am confused as to which one to choose, BTW i am planning to make a sense 3.0 port please help me out

As you are trying to port a sense ROM, maybe this is a better reading for you.

I would take his advice it is not easy at all if you can't even understand the instructions. You could easily brick your phone too, and it takes days to make a ROM. So many files and steps listen to a dev

Overclocking issues

Can someone explain to me why every time I overclock my phone on any Rom the screen starts to split and lag? How can I fix this? I would really like to fix this in my next Rom if I can

The lock screen lag is because the phone finds it hard to sswitch from deepsleep to aa.minimum frequency where it could perform the function.
The trick is to set the minimum.frequency to 245mhz (recommended) and find a governer which suits u.

no not that. i mean screen splitting when i start to scroll from side to side. it happens in aosp AND sense based roms

yeah sometimes i feel it.its very normal like when you start data or wifi or installing app or something like that and that time if you open app drawer you feel lag.
i dont find any solution for that but yeah my country i meaning asia_india stock rom,deodex version works well other than.
and also im on cm9.1 now.which has not a single lag without overclocking.
there are alot of causes like wrong scheduler governer(you have to check that setting self that which is best for you) also some viruses if you download movies and songs from internet much(i hv seen some has problems like that) also sd-ext tweaks(because we have limited memory still we uses more app via that hack so)
lots of reason.
solution find good stock rom.deodexed version is better.

Then ur OC KERNEL has problems.lol.try another one..sense has around many kernels so try them

HTC locations is driving me crazy!!!!

I know lot of you guys out there have the same problem.Locations in a specific place out of my town sets to port Harcourt Nigeria or Bilma on Niger!!!! I of course am nowhere near( I live in Greece).I was wondering if anyone found a solution for this.

Stock rom is not very nice

Had the sme problem on various roms...
I was getting the locations with windchill while my original location was 45°C
It appeared a fewtimes but now it isnt coming anymore...... So didnt try to find a solution... I thought i am the only one facing this.. So never posted it....
