Hey guys, I usually do all my own theming for my widgets and icons but this one is giving me trouble. Could someone possibly help me out and change the RSS text from blue to white on this widget for me and resign it? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the text and everytime I have tried signing this it still won't install, I've tried 3 different signing tools.
Thanks in advance to anyone that's willing to help, I have done all the modding I need on this widget to get it to match the theme I'm working on, just need the text color fixed real bad.
Try this.
I took your apk, decompiled it, edited the files:
smali/com/androidcentral/rss/AndroidCentralRSS.smali
smali/com/androidcentral/rss/AndroidCentralRSSLong.smali
Compiled and signed the apk and it installed.
I Then noticed that the AndroidCentrallRSSLong did not need to be white. (white on grey was hard to see) So I changed that back to the blue you had.
Here is a screenshot of both widgets:

Hello to all of you...
I am writing here, cause i know that only in Nesus S theme section could find someone to help me...
i own an Desire HD but i want to port in my theme the black background color when pressing the menu button...
As you can see in the screen shot below, i managed to do that but now i have another problem... The color of the text when you pressing the menu button is black and can't be seeing...
So here i want your help...
As i know that Gingerbread has black background color when pressing the menu button and white letters, does anybody know what of .xml files in framework\framework-res\res\drawable or in framework\framework-res\res\layout-hdpi can i copy from gingerbread to have also white text color when pressing the menu button???
Maybe it's 2 or 3 .xmls files i will need, i don't know that...
So if anybody can help and tell me what .xlm file or files can i take from gingerbread's framework to make it work, i would appreciate this...
Thanks anyone for helping...
To be sure you understand what i am saying here are 2 screenshots of my phone:

Hi guys!
This is my version of Calendar.apk and Mms.apk with transparent background and other little changes.
First, you need first to modify you framework-res.apk following this guide. If you don't, the background will be black but the app will work normally.
Then, simply replace your existing apks with the attached ones.

Remeber: always perform backup before replace any system file! Also, I'm no responsible for any problems that may occure on your phone
Mms.apk added
Can you pls tell me where i find the strings that make the Background Transparent?
I allready done it for framework and contacts. But i cant find strings in mms.apk.
No Idea??
Hi, sorry for the reply delay. I don't remember exactly what I did because this apk is the result of a lot of attempts. Watching the code, I'm sure that I've modified style.xml with this line <style name="MmsHoloTheme" parent="@android:style/Theme.Holo" />. Also I've made transparent the "list background" under color.xml
Allreqady found it
But maybe you know how to change the Color of the Text when i use the Search!? Its white now and i dont found out where to change it.
Maybe it depends on framework-res, have you try to look inside (style/color/layout)?
Widget
The calendar widget is also transparent, right?

See if anyone would know what to say because I can not find it.

Totally agree with chopper, plus if you change it don't forget to change ( tab_selected_pressed_holo.9 )
Thank you very much at 2, and could be looking at changing contacts.apk and never find it.
For these files should not be, I watched those two files and the framework-res.apk I have these:
And there are those emerging in the contacs.apk tab because the image has a white line below and the blue color is different..
Must be other files.
Thanks anyway
I've figured out where you change, at least in the contacts.apk I have, to take him out of the rom Xylon and modify it to do INVERTED, this file is changed in several XML that are in
res/drawable and are:
tab_selected.xml
tab_selected_focused.xml
tab_selected_pressed.xml
tab_unselected_focused.xml
tab_unselected_pressed.xml
These files are not in other contacts.apk, a modification that should be made in Xylom rom.
Thanks anyway.
I need some help guys..
After themeing almost 99% of all the Samsung system apks, I am stuck.
I am trying to change all blue images/ text, well eveything that is blue to green for all apks, these are the 3 that are driving me crazy and I just cant seem to find.
1. Is in the ClockPackage.apk

}
I cant find the xml that controls the blue color of the selected text above.
2. Next is when you crop a picture, I have looked all through SecGallery2.apk and SamsungCamera.apk
I cant find the xml to change the bars of the crop square...
3. Is the SamsungCamera.apk, I have gone through every file located in res, and cant find how to make the text in the menus green.
Looked through all files, to get rid of blue text, can't find what controls it. Please help!
I have looked and looked, I must be missing something...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
not sure if you solved your issue but would you please send me the apks, i'll take a look at them and see if i can help. i have the S2 and i'm doing all green too. the only thing i can't figure out is the blue text when composing a new sms.
I have decompiled the contacts.apk file and im trying to make an attempt at fixing my issue but i dont know where to start.
my issue is that i have changed my screen desnsity to free up some real estate, so far everything looks good except the phone/contacts there is an transparent bar with a search icon that covers the dial button on the last called contact.(see below)
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd try disabling Hardware Overlay under developer Options.
doesn't help. and i actually didn't expect it to as it seems to be a layout issue in Contacts.apk
