this may sound strange but can the touchwiz 3 launcher on the i9000 Galaxy s be ported to galaxy s II?
in other words, Can some one extract the touchwiz3 launcher from a galaxy S rom and this to be used on Galaxy S II?
I've tried original TW3 and modded version with 5-icon dock, and they don't work
(force close) because of framework incompatibility, so the answer is - NO.
I'm using TW 4.5 launcher.
Work without FCs

Apparently there is a TouchWiz on the Galaxy S2 US stock phone models (AT&T etc) that has a different version of Touchwiz with more options.
Has anyone succeeded in porting that to the I9100?
Try touchwiz 4.5 or appzorter to sort your apps

It would be a good thing to have more option with TW but why bother, you've got a great selection of alternative launchers on the market especially if you've got ICS.
Try this:

Works on all touchwiz EXCEPT Touchwiz 4.5 b22 onwards
Has any one gotten the the stock ics launcher to work on cyanogenmod or any other custom roms.

I haven't been able to find any 4.x based roms that don't support stock launcher2
How do you get the ics launcher apk?

AOKP has nova launcher baked in as well as stock. I would think cyanogenmod would have both as well. Use your file explorer to go to system->apps and look for launcher2.apk. That's the stock launcher. If it's there then it's just a matter of clearing defaults in app settings, hitting home, and choosing it as your default launcher. You can always download any ROM really and pull the apk from it. I'd post it but can't from my phone.

Hi !!!! Anyone know a modded touchwiz version for gio that permise to create folders in the app drower ??? i've got a lot of applications...thanks for the help
no.it don't include folder option in app drawer.
if im not wrong, even touchwiz 4 or up does not have this in the app drawer, so you should use an alternative launcher that has..
Ok thanks !
Thanks...But anyone can port the TouchWiz from S2 to Gio ??? What is the version of TouchWiz in S2 ?

Heyy Can Any Dev make All note 2 app like s memo , calendar , etc
please make the universally usable ( galaxy Nexus )
Cwn Flashable or Apks
Those apps all require touch wiz framework to work. So it is basically impossible to use them on the galaxy nexus with a stock android based ROM.

S-Memo works perfectly on the Nexus without touchwiz. This version is from the S3 though. I'm not sure if it is the same as the one used on the Note 2. Here you go.

TW Launcher is Samsung ...
Take Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher and this Launcher make very nice JOB or look here in XDA TW Launcher 5...
There's one in the galaxy nexus themes and apps section, you'll have to find it, but I've used it before and it works just fine. Or the second alternative is to use the search function and find it, that would have worked instead of creating a new post.
You can't have two launcher without root ... Just search in galaxy nexus themes and apps ull find it its by omarmc as I remember .....just search before post .

Yes when will you change the Launcher2.apk (is TW) then you need root.
Install the Nova Launcher and runs really well.
You can adjust and change as many gestures, icons, dock and more and it runs without stuttering or crash.
For me, the best launcher in Android systems.

This will work with 4.3 but is buggy... the rendering differences between TW and 4.3 frameworks causes the page transitions to be 'flicky' ... not at all fluid.
Why must you do this to a Nexus?

WTH do you want to pollute a nexus with touchwiz of all things? Makes no sense. As others say use quality like nova /paid version. It is amazing. People root Samsung to get rid of touchwiz. Buy a Samsung

It's a matter of likes and dislikes. Did anyone stop people from removing touchwiz? Why would you stop someone from installing it then?
