Any recommendations for a good bluetooth keyboard that you have used and work with the Note using stock rom (2.3.6)? Preferrably with built in touch pad.
Thanks.
The Logitech mini is nice, I've been using my HP touchpad Bluetooth its actually.very nice I was surprised, but since I upgraded to 2.3.6 I haven't been able to get any hid Bluetooth devices to connect at all. Some posts i've read say in 2.3.6 hid can't connect.

HID works fine for me.
Used a HP Touchpad BT Keyboard on KKA and KL3.
Are you running 2.3.6?

Yes its 2.3.6

hey guys i am trying to get the magic cube to work with the galaxy note and am having problems i can get it to pair but not to connect or work is there an hid setting i need to turn on somewhere to be able to use a keyboard with my programs
could't work on 2.3.5 either.
paired, but unable to connect (Note 2.3.6 official, Apple BT KB)
Same problem with Apple BT Keyboard (2007). Paired, but unable to connect.
I use the official ROM 2.3.6. I didn't try before I upgraded to 2.3.6.
I use the Freedom Pro bluetooth keyboard, works great. Folds up into a little case and comes with a lightweight stand for the phone that slides out of the keyboard. No touchpad, but it does have full android support, so it'll likely work with future/other android devices you own. It has keys mapped to the 'back' and 'menu's functions, and you can map a bunch of keys to apps that you configure.

BT Keyboard and mouse
Hi all
The good news is that I've FINALLY got my Thinkoutside BT keyboard and Thinkoutside BT Travel Mouse to work with the Galaxy Note.
I'm using Blueinput in which the WIN version (Beta) did not work with HTC Flame, HTC HD and HTC HD2 because of a difference in the Bluetooth stack.
The Android version (Beta) did not work with the HTC Desire HD either for unknown reasons.
However, the new version: (Blueinput 2.0.209.HIDP1.0.100) which is available on trial from Android Market works well. My Note has OS:2.3.5 SDK:10.
I haven't checked out all of it yet and will post again after some more testing.
Cheers
hi there, i tested now my old igo stowaway keyboard, a new Mini BT keyboard and an Logitech 5000 full size keyboard. all of them are working basically. the Blue Input software is not working (finds the keyboards but tells me it can not talk to it), so i use BlueKeyboard Pro instead that is working fine. i need a keyboard software because i have to map the German special chars.
my problem is that every time i connect a BT Keyboard a message from the system pop's up that i should switch input to the Samsung keyboard, and then the system activates the Samsung build in software keyboard. So i have to long tap the input field to change back to BlueKeyboard manually.
can someone tell me how to prevent the system from switching keyboard drivers automaticly? i already disabled all keyboards except the BlueKeyboard under settings menu, but it dont help. the system reactivates the entry by its own everytime.
i bought this keyboard and its very nice

the switch to the samsung keyboard is because since kl7 the samsungkeyboard supports the german layout for bluetooth
I can't get the motorola bluetooth mouse to connect to the note. It pairs ok, but will not connect.
I have been able to use a microsoft BT and the motorola Keyboard, and the HP bt keyboard. Shame about this mouse as it works fine on my pc.
thank you shigwegi, i give the build in keyboard another chance. it works even with German chars, sometimes (after not working with it for a while) it forgets the German layout and falls back to English, then i have to switch the keyboard off and back on to fix it. i deinstalled BlueKeyboard now.
did the samsung software keyboard show up when you select a text box?, mine does, its a little bit disturbing but as long as it works i can live with it.

I just install "null keyboard" from the app store and choose it from keyboard settings when I'm using a BT keyboard, it stops any keyboard from popping up on screen so you have the full screen on view when typing with a BT keyboard. Works great for me, I just switch back to swiftkey when I'm not using a BT keyboard.

I wanted a fairly mobile full-size BT keyboard for my new Note. But wasn't thrilled that most require a separate BT mouse or trackpad solution. But then I found this new Motorola keyboard with a slide out trackpad on Amazon. It hasn't been out long but seems to be getting good reviews. It isn't real cheap, but a few other vendors sell it for $10-15 less than Amazon. I tend to play it safe and order from Amazon though. I ordered one and will report on it, when it shows up

I have been using the Apple BT keyboard (3 batt version), everything is fine except the first time I reconnect the kb it gets set to qwerty, I have to switch off/on to get azerty...
Also in Samsung kb you can disable US kb so that it doesn't switch to qwerty while typing (but it still does switch when you turn it on the first time).
EDIT: the trick is to enable Samsung kb first then connect bt kb and I get azerty first try.

I had a terrible time getting simplified Chinese to work on my Touch 2 Pro. I tried everything. Finally I had a solution. I will share it with everyone because it was so much trouble for me.
Everyone will tell you to go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700311 and follow the instructions there. No, this is only for traditional Chinese input! The fonts are OK but the input is not suitable.
Next, everyone will tell you to download Sogou, QQ, A4, or other Chinese input method. This is not suitable! Why? Because these applications interfere with the keyboard of Touch Pro 2. With some, the shift key did not work and I couldn't write capital letters. With others, the FN keys did not work (symbols like ;:'& were remapped to other keys!) One of them remapped the entire keyboard, making text unusable! I needed the official HTC input. After hours of searching, I finally found a version that works. Download from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=693907. It says it is for a specific model of phone, but it works fine on mine. The only problem is that the soft keyboard is squashed while the keyboard is pulled out, but if the keyboard is out, no need to use the soft keyboard.
My steps to get simplified Chinese working on Energy rom. This should work under any other rom as well.
0. Always install these softwares on your phone's internal storage! Do not choose storage card! Everyone seems to know this, but I didn't know and only learned through much trouble. Back up your data using PimBackup and copy the files from your phone to your PC before doing any of these changes.
1. Install fonts. This lets you read Chinese characters. Sunglobe is a good choice, click on sunglobe.cab at this link.
http://www.filecrop.com/sunglobe.cab.html
2. Install input method. This lets you write Chinese characters.
http://rapidshare.com/files/384459717/IME_CHS_2_1_20132025_00VGA.cab
3. Change system default font. This lets SMS display properly, otherwise you may see boxes with question marks in some situations. Edit the registry, and change this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/GDI/SYSFNT
Edit "Nm" and change to the value "Tahoma" (REG_SZ)
Each step requires a soft reset. Do not uninstall the HTC input method, or your phone may not boot - you must hard reset and lose all your settings and contacts! When finished, you will have the official HTC simplified Chinese input, and all Touch Pro 2 keyboard functions will work correctly.
Perhaps there are better HTC input softwares available from http://www.google.com/search?num=30&hl=en&hs=34S&rls=en&q=+IME_CHS&btnG=Search. However, the only download links I could find required logging in to a Chinese BBS (need Chinese ID card to register) or need to pay some sort of virtual currency to download the file. Can any Chinese person click on this link and see any better alternatives?
i also spend a lot of time to get my phone have proper input as well. I use traditional chinese input primarily though. What I ended up doing is
1-install the font
2-install the ez-input 2.1 that I fond on the forum.
3-remap the key because the key that I am using won't work wiht tilt 2 (but if you got touch pro, it should work).
The only issue I have is that the software interface won't show chinese character, for example when I save a word file with chinese character it will not show. However, the chinese chacracter shows up on the phone's contact, folders, Opera, so it works for the most part.

This is why you change the system default font. Perform step 3 on your phone, and I bet you can see Chinese in MS-Word.
thanks, I really need this. Tried out sugou, QQ pinyin and A4 but they all messed up with my qwerty keyboard (Rhod100). Hopefully this will help.
update:
not working for me...
even if I switched to PinYin or Stroke, all I can type out is just mere English, no chinese at all.

once you have install the cab, you have to select "Touch input". My device shows 2 touchinput and one of them has weird issue but when I swithc to the other one. it works. you may also need to press the onscreen EN (or zhong) to switch between the two input method.

If it doesn't work, then say exactly what you did. Include screenshots if you can.
I did encounter one small problem where after I install the software, it has 2 touch input and it always default to one that does not work at all. Anyway that I can remove that or set the phone to use the touchinput that will work?
I don't know how to do that. This solution is a hack, but it's the best available. I'm sure there is a better version of official HTC input, but I can't find it in English. This works on my TP2 (although you can see in the screenshots where the soft keyboard is short) although the software is for a different model.
Has anyone tried this and it works? Any problems with the procedure? I'd like to write a better tutorial. I'd also like any Chinese person to try to find the official HTC_CHS package for Touch Pro 2. The one above is for a different model of HTC phone.
Not work for me either.
I just installed the IME, (I already have sumsun font installed on my device).
and reboot.
I saw you are using 21xxx, could you please also test on 23xxx?
Doesn't work
Doesn't work on Energy ROM, both Pinyin and Handwriting...
Are all of these HTC Touch Pro 2 phones? Nobody says which phone it is. And could you be specific what "doesn't work"? The phone doesn't boot, the screen doesn't appear, can you include some screenshots?
It works great on my TP2 running Energy ROM.

Do you think you can show me to get the keyboard remapped properly? I also have a tilt 2.. ez input 2.1 messed up my hardware keyboard. Thanks
eh sorry for late reply... still no luck making it works... even worse case is that it messed up with my qwerty keyboard much like the other Sogou, QQ Pinyin did.
I've tried using both qwerty keyboard and onscreen keyboard to switch 中/ENG but still can only type out english...
by the way, I am using Touch Pro 2 (Rhod 100) ASIAN phone running Energy ROM Dinik Glass Experimental....
Think I might flash my ROM soon and will try out this method again to see how's the deal...
A bunch of posts just disappeared...what the heck?
huh? there are some posts missing.
Anyway, just an update...
I had flashed my TP 2 to Energy ROM Cookie 23xxx version. Then I just did as per Bro gromky instruction there and still failed.
But then, I've installed myself QQPinyin this time and guess what, this time it actually works for QQPinyin for not messing up my qwerty keyboard again by switching the layout to 简体中文 (which didn't help last time)。
So, any idea on why this is happening? Anyway, I'm so glad that I can type chinese font this time again.
Thanks Bro gromky
sorry to say but it doesn't work for me as well , the device isn't booting and i need to hard-reset it,
i'm using HD2 with miri&dinik vs 19

Thanks! That finally made me buy a generic iPad BT keyboard from eBay in hope to remap the iOS keys to something useful!
So how many devices can the Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard 6000 pair with?
i.e. Can I pair the MS BT KBD 6000 with say a Xoom, iPad, and PC? (then connect to the device I wish to use the KBD with when needed?)
Or once its paired with one device, it forgets pairing with the others?
Does anyone know how the Moto keyboard works for pairing?
EDIT: several reviews on Amazon.com indicate the MS BT KBD 6000 can only PAIR with one device at a time.. so if you want to use with a Xoom and iPad, you have to re-pair and re-connect each time you switch..
Still researching how it is with the Moto keyboard.
Same thing with the Moto keyboard. I was at Fry's tonight and found a returned one that was marked down to 59.80, so bought it. I paired it to my N1 and Xoom, but had to disconnect one or the other to use the keyboard-2 devices can't share it. It certainly makes typing easier with my cell phone!

Wait.. there is a difference between pairing and connecting... You can pair two devices and not have them connect... but you can't connect if you are not paired...
so when you mention that you PAIRED it to your N1 and XOOM... then mention "disconnect one or the other to use the keyboard" I'm not sure I'm following you.
I mean, yes, I could understand not being able to CONNECT to both the N1 and Xoom at the same time...
But Lets say you pair the Moto keyboard with the N1, connect it, use the keyboard with the N1.. Then you want to use the Moto keyboard with the Xoom... you pair it, connect and use it...
Now, if you want to use it with the N1 again, do you have to repeat the pairing process with the N1 before you connect it? or can you just pickup the N1 and have it connect to the keyboard without repeating the pairing process?
I can only have it paired to one device. I can't make it discoverable on the Xoom if it's paired to the N1, and vice versa. I have to disconnect and delete the pairing from one to use it with the other. That's the only way I can get it to become discoverable, if it's not paired. You have to repeat the pairing process every time you want to switch devices
I wonder, given host USB might work ... if the following device has a chance to work ?

Hi
If somebody has physical keyboard connected via Bluetooth to XOOM please check is it possible somehow to use 2 different languages on it. And how to switch between it.
Normally I use 2 virtual keyboard English and Russian one, but I'm thinking to buy Motorola Bluetooth keyboard to type letter and etc. I know that on Moto keyboard only English alphabet, but it's easy to make engraving on it to have 2 languages, so I need only to check is it working or not.
As I know original Moto keyboard somehow could have only English language (even when you set language strictly to russian. The on screen keyboard will show Russian keyboard, but when you will touch the physical keyboard it automatically just types the English letters). So is it possible to change somehow?
Which virtual keyboard you're using for Russian? I've tried SmartKeyboard Pro, but the layout is not that good...

I figured out how to use native keyboard after posting
I believe the regular keyboard will work once we figure out how to set Locale to Russian as well. I know Russian is supported by Honeycomb, but by default only English and Spanish are the options. Anyone knows how to enable other locales?
Tablet keyboard
i use an on screen r virtual kwyboard on my zoom that i downloaded from the market. it is call "Tablet Keyboard" made by "Pretty Easy" ther isa free onethat i tested out and it was great. it has an option to use a full keyboard or it split the keyboad in half with one half on the left for the left tumb, and the other half on the right. it also works in connection with the build in keyboard onmy zoom. so there always the option in th lower right hand near the time where you can switch between the two keyboards if you like. you do have to check the boxx in keyboard setting to make it active. i think they even have a paid version for only ¢99.

One owner of Moto keyboard and XOOM tired and told. Even if you have only one language Russian, the Moto Bluetooth keyboard still type on the English language(
But if you will get it, try to click SHIFT+CTRL or SHIFT+ALT (if you have such keys on the keyboard), may be it will recognize it. I read somewhere that Moto keyboard support hot command like CTRL+C or V to copy and past command. So may be it will change language of keyboard like a normal PC.
Thank you in advance.

Almost same size as the note, 145 x 75 x 16 mm and 119grams. Good layout of the QWERTY although perhaps the space bar is too small. Has anyone had any experience with this product, especially with the mouse function.
UPDATE
So my keyboard arrived today, it worked fine out of the box Android 2.3.6 just had to push down button next to del to connect and it auto connects after when you press a key. You can even switch the system/screen on (and off) from standby... useful if you have disabled your lockscreen.
Personally I am very happy with it. Mouse trackpad works awesome and the keys are nice and clicky not rubbery nonsense. The arrow keys move menus and scrolling. It would be a great HTPC media keyboard with the note connected in HDMI and lying back in my reclining chair at end of the room. I've spent my money on far worse items.
However its rather useless in some ways, firstly the full stop needs a function key to operate it - MAJOR flaw, as far as typing wpm goes forget it you will perform twice as better with swype or fullscreen landscape better keyboard. I will stick to folding full sized keyboard or Vaio P. Also long pressing keys sometimes brings up a weird accent menu or short pressing doesn't register key presses. Pressing the mouse trackpad itself brings up the menu screen function but it would be better suited to left key press in my opinion.
Some of these things can be changed with an android button remapper program.
But I havent found one for the note yet.
Summary
So I bought this as a productivity item but i'm finding it to be more of a novelty item. Even using it just to control Ubuntu and remote desktop Win7 and Mac on my note and adding a little bit more to the pocket pc dream, its worth it.
That looks really cool. Just saw this review:
http://www.digisecrets.com/gadgets/review-dual-connect-slimline-bluetooth-keyboard-and-trackpad/
From the review:
Pros:
Connect to and control up to 2 devices
Full QWERTY keyboard with number keys and extensive secondary functions
Mouse controller and dedicated mouse keys
Small and lightweight design
Comes with protective cover
Built-in rechargeable battery
Cons:
The Size of the keyboard is like the size of a regular scientific calculator, Little bulk for carrying in pockets
Uneasy to type in dark situations
I've just bought this one, looks good in picture, I´ll make a review once I get it

Not working, it is pared but can´t connect
It is working perfectly with my PC, and specifications says it goes with Andoid 2.1 and avobe...
Any idea to fix it?
I miss using the blackberry. If they could release a bluetooth keyboard the size of the blackberry one, i would get it.

Did you disconnect it from the PC?
I know with my BT headphones, if I have BT on the laptop enabled, sometimes my headphones automatically connect to the PC and I can't connect with the phone.
I have to manually disconnect them on the PC before I can connect with the phone.
Unfortunately the Note bluetooth is not perfect (better than previous models, but still a little buggy.)
Just to be sure try it from a fresh boot. Sometimes disabling and re-enabling bluetooth is enough to reset the chip but a clean boot will definitely clear it up. The first bluetooth device to connect after a boot always works, subsequent devices are hit and miss.
I hate that broadcomm chipset, wish they would switch to Texas Instruments BT chips then we could get ANT and FM transmit.
Perhaps installing Bluekeyboard JP, Teksoft blueinput appn etc or installing cyanogen rom. I am not really sure to be honest

Another smaller, lighter (58g) thumboard version with full stop button. Uses trackball type mouse. Key placement makes it good for gaming too.

A review I found:
http://the-gadgeteer.com/2011/09/16/magic-pro-promini-bt-joy-bluetooth-keyboard-review/
and it works with the note as mentioned here:
http://blog.timofeyev.ru/2012/02/27/magicpro_bluetooth_keyboard#more-1429
I dont know what she is saying either but I'm inclined to buy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=p9tSsz_jIhc
I have the above item too and it works well (mouse and keyboard). Feels slightly heavier than 58g tho.
The Rii Mini that I order a few weeks ago arrived today.
Build quality and keys are good. No looseness or wobble in the keys.
The touchpad makes it a little awkward to thumb type as your right hand has to reach across the touchpad. I have ended up using the thumb of my left hand and the index finger of my right.
I originally got this with the intention of editing word docs (having no onscreen keyboard allows you to see much more of the document at a glance).
It is good that it has the mouse built in, which makes selecting text quite easy.
But to operate the CTRL-C, CTRL-V etc is a little fiddly.
I think if I end up editing a lot of docs on the Note I'd get something more like the apple sized BT keyboard. But I won't be doing that until a decent editor is available (TextMaker looks promising, but is still a buggy beta).
I do like the laser pointer though. I have a Targus presenter with built in mouse controller, and the mouse controller is crap, so I think I'll start using this for power point presos. Also, having the BT keyboard makes it a lot more functional than the Targus presenter for when I want to demo entering text into a field etc.

Does it come with a built-in stand for the phone?
If that's the case then awesome.
No that would be cool but it does come with a separate black phone stand.
Nobody tested this one?

That one is (similar to) the Rii Mini that richlum wrote about 3 posts above yours. I guess he owns the RT-MWK02(Bluetooth) (or the black version).
I own the Rii mini N7 (model nr: RT-MWK03BT), which should be the newer version with the touchpad in the middle but without the laserpointer. Funny enough it isn't shown on the Riitek website (only the 2.4 GHz version is displayed there). I bought it from DealExtreme and it appears to be genuine (or a very well made knock-off...).
Like the one from richlum it has a good quality build and connects easily. How well it works in real life when doing much text-editing I don't know yet. Haven't used it that much, just bought it in advance for future travels when I don't have a laptop with me.
Very practical is the "e" button in the middle, which acts like the Home button on the phone. Less practical is only one "shift"-button on the left and the one "space"-button on the right of the touchpad (especially for me as I'm left-handed and usually use my left hand more).
If you get used to the split keyboard after prolonged use I'll know in time...
Does anyone know of it's possible to use the swiftkey word prediction with a BT keyboard?
If I have swiftkey enabled when using the BT keyboard, the word predictions show up, but pressing space on the keyboard doesn't select the predicted word the way it would if I pressed space on the soft keyboard.
This means that I have no error correction plus I need to type out the whole word. Which means using back space a lot and pressing a lot more keys.
I've found out that it is a lot faster using the swiftkey onscreen keyboard than the BT keyboard because of this. Often with swiftkey I only need to enter the first 2 or 3 letters of a word (sometimes 0 letters) and then hit space.
The word prediction is showing up with the BT keyboard, I just can't use it! So frustrating!

This is a review of Logitech T630 Ultrathin Touch Mouse. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/ultrathin-touch-mouse-t630
Before I start my review, let me get this upfront: YES, it WORKS with Android!!! The name Logitech is synonymous with keyboard and mouse accessories, and not just quality but also forward looking design. After T630 introduction, I was a bit disappointed it's spec only included support for Windows8 and Windows7. Without a doubt the intent of a mouse is to be used with a PC or a laptop. But with growing popularity of tablets and large display smartphones, as well as people connecting their phones to a bigger "tv" screen, more people use a wireless mouse and a keyboard to turn their smartphone into a computer. Nothing beats putting your tablet or a phablet on a kickstand and enjoying scrolling through a webpage using a wireless mouse. How about doing that and much more in style with a sexy ultrathin T630!!! Let's take a closer look.
Before you even get to T630, you can't help but to stare at the display box it comes packaged in. This is not your typical box to open and to throw away, this one is a keeper to showcase your T630 when not in use, displaying it like a trophy Once you take it out of the box, the next surprise is how lightweight and smooth it feels in your hand. At only 68g with dimensions of approximately 85mm in length, 50mm/60mm in width between narrow and wide parts, and 5mm/15mm in thickness as it narrow down toward the front edge, its very compact and super portable. With a body made out of brushed metal and silky-smooth touch surface it feels almost like a pebble in your hand. When you flip it over, there is micro-usb charging port (including provided angled micro-usb to usb cable), on/off switch, pair-up Connect button, and a switch between 2 bluetooth devices. Yes, you can pair it up with 2 different bluetooth devices and use one at a time with a flip of a switch. This is a perfect combination to have in a setup with a smartphone and a laptop. Also, it has rapid charge mode where 1-2 minutes on usb charger or connected to your computer usb port will provide enough charge for about an your of work. Full charge can last you up to 10 days.
The mouse itself has two ways of operation. First of all, you have your traditional Right, Left, and Middle mouse clicks, and then you also have 9 touch gestures. One thing you need to keep in mind, this is not exactly a touch pad where you tap for mouse clicks. The mouse click itself is a physical action where you need to apply a force to click it, while touch gestures are performed by swiping your finger on the surface of the mouse. I personally found this to be very useful in preventing accidental clicking when you hover over the mouse with a palm of your hand and need to physically move it in order to change pointer position on the screen. This logistics has a slight learning curve to get used to operation, but afterwards it becomes natural. You move and click it like a regular mouse, and you use touch gestures as shortcuts for Windows7/8 functions and scrolling through multi-page documents or pages in your browser on any platform. The only difference with Windows is that you have access to Logitech free SetPoint software which allows additional fine-tuning of operation. The basic click/tap/swipe operations are described as following:

Of course, the main interest is HOW does it work with Android on your phone? There was no issues pairing it up with my Note 2, and afterwards all I had to do is flip the power switch and mouse pointer was there on my screen. I found this mouse to work on almost any surface. It easily scrolls up/down through webpages and left/right between your phone screens by simply gliding your finger on the mouse surface up/down. Left click works perfectly as "Enter", and Right click works perfectly as "Back" button (!!!). To make things even better, Middle button click works perfectly as "Home" button. So, you are in a total control of your Android smartphone/tablet navigation.
Overall, I think its a fantastic mouse which packs some incredible functionality. The current price on Amazon for $49.99 makes its a great value, considering its advance design, solid build, battery endurance with rapid charging, and flexibility to work in both Windows and Android environments. If you are looking to buy a wireless mouse for your smartphone, I can't think of a better choice than T630 where you get a mouse to control your on-screen pointer, to use touch controls for document, webpages, and phone screen navigation, and to have a direct shortcut access to Enter/Back/Home with three "invisible" click buttons. This one definitely gets my high recommendation!
Here are the pictures.
Just made a video review of how this Logitech T630 mouse works with my android phone. This is my first official video review, so please go easy on me, I'm still an amateur when it comes to YT reviews and this one was made in one shot just now without any editing. Perhaps if I get enough positive feedback, I can continue with more video reviews.

Ultrathin Mouse works great, but...
Loving using this mouse on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. The only problem is, the tablet also thinks it's a bluetooth keyboard. So when I don't want to use my real bluetooth keyboard, I have to turn off the mouse because it prevents the on-screen keyboard from coming up. Any suggestions?

Funny you mentioned this. I was using this mouse with my Note 2 for navigation only, so didn't test it with a keyboard typing. Well, today I was playing around with my Omate TS smartwatch which is basically an Android device with 1.5" screen, and used T630 for easier navigation. Discovered the same problem where I couldn't use on-screen keyboard when paired up with a mouse. It considers this mouse as input device so virtual keyboard gets disabled, I guess. I will continue playing around, but as of now don't have a solution. If you figure it out, please post it in here.
So I returned the ultrathin mouse and got the Microsoft Sculpt BT mouse... same thing happened! It thinks my mouse is the default mouse AND keyboard. And also has my BT keyboard as thed default kb. So they are both default....????? Yikes. It seems to be a problem with the tablet and not the mouse used.

This mouse works great on Yoga 2. Easier to handle on Windows 8. Very precise and consistent handling. Small and thin enough to pack with my laptop. No need to practice on features

I think it has something to do with bluetooth profile of that mouse. Logitech makes a lot of wireless keyboards, and combos of keyboard/touchpad that work with Android devices (like their famous K400 keyboard). Perhaps they use the same bluetooth profile with all of them to pair up as mouse/keyboard, thus messing up control on a phone and a tablet? In a worst case, you can use T630 paired up wireless and also pair up another keyboard or attach one through OTG usb? Though it defeats the whole purpose of using a wireless mouse and on-screen touch keyboard.
That is what I'm doing at the moment.

Glad I read this before I decided to buy it...
Is it possible using this mouse AND a bluetooth keyboard in the same time then?
I already have a logitech bluetooth keyboard for android, and I don't want buying this if it renders my bluetooth keyboard unusable

I can't post the link to the solution I found but if you google search "android enable on screen keyboard" the stackexchange link at the top worked for me on my Nexus 10.

The problem, in Note Pro 12.2 is that when you connect Logitech T630 mouse, don't show in "Select an input method" the option "Hardware Physical Keyboard ON/OFF". In other device, Xperia Ultra Z, Nexus 7, this yes is show at connect the mouse and on screen keyboard go again if you put "Hardware Physical Keyboard" in OFF.
I wait this clear the problem with this beautiful mouse:laugh:
