I'm of nervous about rooting my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II because if i do I'll lost my warranty. My phone has being messing up like not charging and if anything goes bad i want to be able to send it in and fix it......
I know that their is away to unroot the phone but will T-mobile know
For example, I root the phone( void my warranty) then if I unroot it will my warranty still be void

If you Odin the factory image you'll be fine. Don't use the cwm flashable unroot method.

You don't lose your warranty unless you admit to it. If the device doesn't work then no one will know and if you are able to boot the phone you can unroot it.
t mobile wont know, I've sent in countless rooted then un rooted devices and never had a issue

Did u just get it today bud??? And what help do u need im pretty good with this stuff and dude u will be fine just unroot if u ever have to take back to tmobile. Oh and root wouldnt cause your phone to do what u described in op u will be ok
I would wait, there's really not enough out yet to take the risk. The odds are pretty high something will go wrong if you aren't experienced. I'm waiting for the pros to get the kinks worked out and some solid builds to come out, like cyanogen ICS or something. Might be a while lol, but I'll have a working phone. And this thing is pretty awesome out of the box (except for that CIQ BS and the tethering nonsense ).
Good luck !

If not, and you're still looking for how to get GB, here.

There's a few videos for rooted and non-rooted phones.
I did not brick it, but that will take it back to stock I assume?

Yes that will take you to full stock and you can get the OTA. It is not just a semi-brick thread. It is a start over thread too.

i would actually stay away from the zedomax rom there have been a good number of ppl that reported after using it the phone was no longer able to be recognized by the computer and it also doesnt flash the kernel back to stock so if by any chance you have to reinstall clockwork and if youre 1 of the ppl that cant get the phone to be recognized by odin you will be stuck with whatever state the phone is in.. best way is to odin back to stock with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1391174 and just make sure to format your internal

I think they are looking for a permanent root method. That is something I am unfamiliar with. Most of these tools make it super easy to root anyway. Think of how much work these developers put in to building these kick ass ROMs for us. It makes taking 30 minutes of downloading and clicking seem like cake.
Edit: to avoid having to re root just read everything before you start flashing and end up with a brick.

If your talking about "s-on" that's for HTC devices, I think you're in wrong thread bro. But if trying to unroot the SPRINT S3 You just need to flash stock recovery and then let it update, it should let the update go through

If on a custom Rom it won't... If you've modified any system files it also won't go through... If you haven't done any of these, flash stock recovery (can be found with a search or by clicking the link in my Sig) and then let it update and reodin a custom recovery....

No, thats not. I suggest you do more reading because Samsung devices do NOT involve NAND locking (S-ON/S-OFF)

Actually, just an fyi the s3 on Sprint comes with the bootloader unlocked (s-off) we do have a bootloader (download mode) it just comes unlocked cuz Samsung is cool like that... so in a sense we don't have to worry about unlocking, you are correct, but only because Samsung has shipped the phones already unlocked... (of course if people keep using their warranty because they brick Sprint could change this, just saying)

Bootloader unlocked is different from NAND-unlocked (S-ON). On HTC devices you have a locked bootloader as well as S-ON, they're two completely different things
How do I reboot or get a 4.3 version knox free or bypass knox moderator edit superuser lol.. friend borrowed phone uprooted and updated to 4.3 ota.

Good thought but I don't think it's that simple.. It's well noted that there isn't a way to safely bypass or remove it yet If your method Was the case it would be all over the forum and probably one of the first things tried the day 4.3 ota was pushed .
Its built in the bootloader . I'm not sure what damage would cause if i try removing with a root explorer app.

Good morning,
I am no WIZ but it seems to me that all you would need to do is revert (flash) your NOTE 2 back to a stock, Predated to 4.1.1 OEM T-Mobile Rom.
However, since XDA is a creative lot, there is really no reason for me to presume that you still use T-Mobile as your carrier; not that it makes much difference at this point, So rather than being the horses ass as I sit here making my first post and since I am too new to be allowed to make life easy on you by merely laying down the link, go to Galaxynote2toroot under the heading of stock firmware. I think you will find your answers there. The site lists most all of the original or at least those firmwares you might use including those after 4.1 and prior to v 4.30. They have flashing tools as well...probably light-fingered from here (smiling) but in any case it seemed to be a simple method to get you where you want to go.
Sidebar: Personally, I am going to contribute to the cause supporting the old turned new GalaxyNOTE2 Toolkit v4.1.0. conjured up by mskip http://forum.xda-developers.com.php?=1957720 because I think it is and will continue to be a pretty swish tool to prevent me making the typical, wreck your Note2 rookie mistakes. And I secretly plan over time to make him a friend so he'll help me when I falter. It is a wonderment to me how complicated but pro tool accepting the little bastards be.
So, depending on your expertise in these matters, you might take a look as well, In any case I hope you get it fixed.
Best regards,
dm
