As i said it costs 300 Qr...with that much money you can have a better extrtnal battery...but as it is an original samsung product i like it..plus it feels good to hold especially playing NFS hot pursuit or watching a movie..and my android frinds are kinda jealous that this accessory is available to GS2 only..so all in all am a happy user

So how is it?
I just bought one myself and was curious if you can use it all the time, I mean is it ok to charge phone and case withous taking them apart? And how is it for my phone's internal battery to work 50% of the time from a charger.
And the last but not the least question is can you turn it off until needed? I mean connect it without actually charging phone and turn it on when needed.
will this still fit if your using the samsung 2000mah extended battery already?
could you please post some pics front back and sides with the phone inside ?
Where?
My friend I'm here in Doha also, where do you buy this battery pack?

Here you go. Be aware that if you use your phone as a player(like me) then you need to find 3.5mm jack for the first iPhone because normal sized cable does not fit in(too thick).
Sorry for the bad quolity I only had my web cam.
As for me, I love how it feels with this case.
a hard decision between esthetics and battery duration.
i have decided for momax EX power, and works flawless!!
i really recommended this battery.
and the back cover looks, normal, and better that a mugen bat!
You can buy this from samsung service, centre in al sadd. Btwn now I am getting 50% extra juice only..I am charging this while connected too

I haven't tested any other packs, but I think that this one is medicore at best.
I've bought it for 50$ (which is alot!) , and it gives about 55% of battery power.
but the worst aspect of it is that it doesn't integrate well with the device.
when charging I prefer to charge them separately cause charging takes a long time with the case on!
also when the mobile is fully charged it keeps on beeping every 10 minutes if the phone was connected to the charger through the pack ,reason being is that when the phone's battery is full and it gives the full battery beep indicator ,the pack diverts power to it's internal battery ,and when that's also full it'll divert the power back to the phone thus giving you another beep and the cycle continues.
also when the mobile is fly charged and connected to the pack (without charger)it constantly draws power from it making it last only about 8 hours.
so for the best effect I mostly use it as an external charger , charge the phone with it then remove it when the charge is full to save it's power.
this way I get through a day of moderate to light usage with a 95% battery on the phone .and some charge left in the pack as well
anti climax, bulky vs slim
seem it will make the phone too bulky, while initial design is to build slim smart phone. I prefer to have external mobile charger separately

Would I be better off buying a third party, supposedly high capacity battery like this one or buying an original Samsung battery? I'm looking for an extended battery life, but I read none of the "high capacities" perform substantially better?
I received my new battery a few days ago, it last less than my old one, I hope this is only due to calibration time and things will get better in a few day...

Post some results.
Is the 2300 a Galaxy S II battery? That's what I'm seeing in some goog searches. Looks like their replacement for ours is 1850. But if it fits, hey.
Lucky you, i had to stick a piece of paper on the top left of my battery pocket in my phone in order for the contacts to align.
There's actually a thread about this battery here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445938
So far I'm getting a little over 24 hours with little-moderate use on ICS passion.
In the wide majority of test I've seen of Andida batteries, they always add somewhere between 30-50% of their actual capacity. In short, just about every third party manufacturer overrates their batteries and only the OEM numbers are accurate

I have the same with the Andida 2300 battery and my Vibrant. I cut some of the envelope it came in, doubled it over and put it along the side of my battery. A snug fit, for sure... but its working great. Worth the $20 imho.

Apparently some people can't get the contacts to line up correctly and the battery doesn't work out for them.. so it might be a gamble for you.
1800/1500 = 20% increase
2300/1500 = 53% increase
I'm pleased with the batteries performance and understanding of the issues related to fitment. For $20...it was well worth it to me. My phone can stay away from the charger throughout the day.

I understand on paper it should be a 53% increase compared to the stock battery, but is it showing a 50% in reality? I know samsung batteries are legit and should be close to the labeled mah rating. I don't know a thing about andida. I just don't to end up with a battery that might not even fit and is only really putting out like 1900mah.
This is a huge improvement for me. My phone used to be dead after 10 hours unplugged.
Another oddity since putting in this battery, my GPS started to work and lock on again... maybe the pressure it puts onto the phone helped the contact...weird positive side effect for me (I've not bothered to do the GPS contact fixes yet)
Sorry I don't have the fancy Battery stats screens that others seem to have :\
My 2300 andida is running about 14 hours as well. I can get through most of the day without thinking about my charger.
I'm on ics one comsics rc3.1 and I get more than 36 hours on light use, more than 24 hours on moderate use and like eight hours on real heavy use. My heavy usage usually involved full account sync and surfing the web on the mobile network non stop with screen on 75-90% of the time.

Even of the contacts don't fit, you can put paper on the top left corner of the battery socket. And somehow, the battery doesnt need the paper later on. I think the battery gets "used" to the battery socket...

Tbh I don't notice much difference. But always nice to have a spare battery.

not much different for me.. 10%-20% xtra.. heavy user here..
I've been using my 2000MAh batter for the last week and it's awesome.
On light days where I don't do much on my phone, I get about just over 2 days of battery.
On heavy days, I usually get enough to carry me to the evening with about 20% left, which is better than the previous 5% with the stock.
People must get crazy battery with 3500MAh batteries, but it probably ruins the aesthetics of the phone.

Ok guys..so today morning i have recieved my 2000mh official battery by samsung.. I charged it for 2 hours i pluged in at 1 pm and it was fully charged within 2 hours as it was already 58% charged when i unpacked it...so finally 3 pm to 12 Am till now i am still left with 10% battery which is another 1 hour..all i can say is overall good performance as compare to 1650mh battery..so mate dont think twice go for it as the backcover is also very fit to the device ..you won't feel much bulk at the back as it has been slightly increased by samsung and it goes with the design. ..for pictures upload and further details please feel free to reply to this message...

I use the stock 2000mah battery. I can get about 4hrs on average of screen on time with CM9 or stock ICS(mostly using wifi, but 3g is on when I go out). If i don't use it much, easy 1.5 days with about 1.5 hrs screen on time. This battery provide enough power for me to get through one day. I have a habit of charging before I go sleep. So after I use this 2000mah, I no longer worry about battery in the evening.

I think it's almost mandatory to have the original 2000mAh battery of this phone.
With it on and a good value for the rom got a good life.
I used one of these for my I9000 and was pleasantly surprised with it. I might just go for this one for my I9300.
It says it's 2400 mAh (which, if it's like the one for the SGS, is probably true).

Have the battery from about a month.
I've got to admit it is nothing special ... from my experience it gives just a few more hours stand by time.
I'm using 2G mode / full sync and with the stock battery I got around 4 days of stand by time ... after change of battery it is something like 4 days and 6 hours stand by.
If you play with your phone or talk a lot you won't notice the extra mAh IMHO.

Ok maybe nothing special. I replaced my defective one in my SGS1, it's € 12,30 which is about 3 times cheaper than an original. But this battery is actually 1800 mAh and I get about a day extra standby in normal use and about half a day extra in heavy use. That's special enough for me and still going strong after 8 months.

Well, compared to the original it is only an increase of about 14%.. 2400 mAh instead of 2100 mAh, so you should not expect miracles to happen. It will certainly give you some extra hours, so you'll notice only a difference if you frequently need those few hours more.
I myself have a polarcell for my i9000 (sgs), which offers 20% more than the original and I must say, it really does make a difference!
I personally like most that there is a NFC version besides a version without NFC.
I was wondering about the performance of the NFC antenna, did anyone test this already?
This is the cheapest price spotted for external battery pack for $13.99. Anyone find anything cheaper? I'm trying to find something cheap and quick to use.

Typical 9999 day warranty. I'd stay away. We all know these cheap Chinese electronics go bad on day 10,000.
instead of going for the cheapest go for the most vfm.anker external batteries.check em out on amazon.they tout the maximum capacity for a given price range.astro series;10000mah pack i am using currently.it comes with 18 months warranty.you may opt for the smaller ones too.
I have bad experiencing with those cheap battery packs. Usually they have a high capacity, but they still lose charge very quickly.
I had a 5500mAh battery pack for my Galaxy Nexus, which should be enough for charging it 3 times. The first 3 times it worked alright, but afterwards I was lucky to get one charge out of it. Still, one charge is of course always useful.
Can't be any more disappointing then my fluxmob bolt. Spend $60 and it'll charge about 30% of the battery.

What do you mean by lucky to get one charge out of it?
Edit. Oh, external battery. I get it.

Alright, gonna make this review based off one charge.
It arrived yesterday afternoon and I put it on the charger for 8 hours. It has three LEDs on the side that show how much remaining charge the unit has. I discharged my phone to 13% and rebooted then plugged this thing in. The phone thinks it's charging ac so the phone charged to 100% in about an hour and a half. The unit is blinking the final led now. So one full charge is expected.
I'm satisfied and if anyone has any questions let me know.

Nice review. Gonna pickup one myself now
Got pretty decent results with this. Getting around 100 charge. Also goes on AC mode which is good in getting the charge up quick
Yeah that's what I'm seeing. It's nice because normally about 6 hours into my shift I get down to around 14% then I plug into this bad boy and charge it back up before I head home and start the rest of my day.
Just leave the battery on the charger in my car then take it back into work the next day and start the whole thing over again
