Best deal on a case and hd protection!! - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

So, I took a chance on this case for 15 bucks, delivered, and I am impressed as hell!!
Several colors available, includes a free screen protector, and a super protective case, with covers for all the open ports..
Its not a Ballistic HC, but, since they refuse to make a HC case for this phone, and the other Heavy Duty Protective cases aren't that impressive, AND cost a lot more, I took a chance on this guy, and I like it a lot..Camera lens is recessed, front screen is recessed, so you can lay it face down with no probs, and there is a heavy plastic frame you put the phone into before you slide it into the rubber case...
And, did I mention a built in kickstand??
Black, blue, white, red, and green, I think..
Best 15 bucks I have spent on this phone so far, and was delivered from California to Chicago in TWO DAYS!!
Jump on this one asap.

Nope, only buy stuff on ebay, don't sell anything on Ebay..
Just very impressed with this quality of case for 15 dollars..
If you want a slim case, this is NOT for you..this is for folks like me that need their phone protected because they drop them, abuse them, and just aren't really gentle with their phones..

I would rather rock an old flip phone than put my phone in that rubber brick which ppl call a case.

looks like heavy duty protection for relatively cheap price. not my cup of tea though, don't know why anyone would want to add that much thickness to the phone.

People like me, that drop their phone more than they should...

hah thats what I just ordered. but in blue. will report when I get it.
raft? I am coming from a Touch Pro 2 and or an Evo with Extended battery.
this phone is a piece of paper to me. even with this case its probably still going to be the thinnest phone I have owned in many years.
I am VERY gentle with my phones BUT this phone is TOO thin sometimes. its hard to hold one handed for sure. I have very big hands and my hands always want to "wrap" it which does a multi touch when you don't want it too.
I am hoping this will help with that. will be sure to post pics and thoughts once I get and use it.
I am HOPING I can hack a hole in the back to allow me to use the extended battery. Love the 4 AH of power

Got the case and I freaking LOVE IT
killer protection cheap price. Going to order another in blue/black so I can put blue plastic with blue gel shell. ie blue on blue.
sadly its much darker blue than the picture indicates (I am very partial to bright colors and very antagonistic toward dark boring colors) but its not "too" bad.
that one of its few drawbacks
The seller I got it from (case ology?) also had a PREVAIL case in killer bright orange. I have sent him a message begging on my hands and knees and offering to pay extra to get the epic touch case in that orange !! blue hard shell with orange cover would ROCK
anywhere here is my thoughts some pictures and video.
The case is a 3 part case.
you have a "FULL" enclosure "hard shell" that snaps around the phone (loose snap very easy to remove)
lay the phone in the bottom half insert the long right side first snap shut.
this full encloses the phone.
now this "phone/enclosure" gets shoved into the flexible shell (silicon?)
smooth it down make sure all the dimples "lock" into the slots on the hard shell and its a nice rigid soft fit that does not move flex or stretch around.
I REALLY like this form of enclosure. it feels extremely solid and protective.
Most likely any force sufficient to penetrate the case is sufficient to damage the phone even if it does not penetrate.
Will I test that? I hope not.
now this statement is conditional. IE I have huge hands.
the phone in this case "feels good" in the hands. it just "feels right"
even as bulky as this case is its still overall thinner than my touch pro 2 with stock battery.
I love the port covers for headphone jack and usb jack.
I love how DEEP the screen is for protection if it lands or slides face first including in my pockets.
now I did encounter some issues minor but annoying anyway.
Not all chargers will fit. for example my IGO charger is not usable any longer. the "tip" it too larger. I would need to get a short Micro USB extension if that even exists.
but my primary charger (my Kindle charger and cable) fit perfectly.
even slightly larger plugs fit (example the USB JIG fits fine)
I had to shave down the tabs for the kickstand just a hair. they were too tight. hurt my fingers trying to get it open and I still failed. had to resort to a key to pry it open.
once I shaved it down it functions perfectly.
The case fits the epic touch PERFECTLY but they forgot about the notification LED. there is NO HOLE for the LED in the upper right corner of the case. I will drill one later this week.
I wish they had made the case just a hair wider and wee bit longer.
the contact point between the screen and the "hard shell" is too tight on the edges and bottom (no problem up top the case to screen angle up top is HALF that of the bottom and sides)
it can be a wee bit difficult getting to the soft keys at the bottom and any navigation functions (letter jump in contacts) on the extreme edges of the screen. (this is where larger fingers are a detriment)
It fits in my jacket pocket no problem and my pants pocket no problem (I am a big fellow 6'4" so take that with a grain of salt) ie it fits in my shirt pocket too hehe
so far (3 days) the case is holding up great. I will be sure to report back a long term review later on.
I love the bulk it adds to the phone protecting the screen and the camera module surfaces.
and I love the full enclosure hard shell and full overlay soft skin. I think this is far better than the 50/50 shells like the ballistics or the fishbone cases) although no doubt the ballistics is probably superior in the protection department I doubt by very much.
but you pay for this in bulk. The pro's are port protection and sleek looks even with the bulk. IE it looks "clean"
the kickstand functions both in both portrait and landscape though it is not 100% stable in portrait (easy to knock over left and right)
I also made a crappy video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_H9e2UWn5g

I just ordered another one. the black with blue "core" so I can have blue on blue. really loving this case. just "feels good" in the hands.
I really hope the gel holds up and does not get all stretchy.

I was just browsing through cases on ebay and found this case in orange/ black for $7.99.

Ohhh very tempting but I fear its the RED case not orange.
many times these sellers never actually "hold" the product they sell they drop ship them.
so he got a picture and the picture "looks" orange red so thats how he lists it.
but for $8 it might be worth the gamble. I really want a bright blaze orange case badly.
Like this one I got for my EVO
http://www.ebay.com/itm/330665952170?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648
what the hell its probably the red one with a bad picture but I took a shot will see what I get.
to the best of my knowledge this case is only available in white black blue red and pink.
---------- Post added at 01:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:37 AM ----------
FYI got the blue core. LOVE IT looks fantastic blue on blue. but one huge problem.
when I make a call the screen goes dead and its 100% unresponsive.
I discovered that for some reason the blue shell activated the proximity sensor. but the cut is as perfect as the black one. I nearly doubled the size of the hole to no effect still triggers the proximity sensor.
while switch from black to blue trying to figure out what the heck was going on it hit me. the only difference I had not accounted for. The Color. SO I took a sharpie and colored the backside around the proximity ambient sensor hole BLACK and the inside of the hole black.
BINGO works perfectly. "something" about the plastic and that color caused the proximity sensor to trigger. Weirdest freaking thing I have seen in some time for sure.
but easy sharpie fix and its all invisible to me on the inside so I am happy. also put my hole for the notifications LED into place. Much better
ALSO all problems are now solved. I discovered there is plenty of "meat" in the plastic for me to "SHAVE" the plastic where it touches the screen. I moves all 3 sides "out" 2mm or so and WOW what a difference. no more trouble getting to the soft keys at all and no more trouble getting to the rolledex scroller.
Perfect will have a video up shortly.

Nex Fishbone Case Thoughts/Pics

Just thought I'd share some thoughts and pictures of a new case I got (I am a bit of a case junkie... usually end up with 10-15 cases per phone). Typically I either wouldn't be the first to post about a case (so I don't bother) or I don't feel strongly enough to share. I didn't see anything about this case, though... so here goes.
Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0073YAAVK/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details
Various colors are available.
Notes: My device is the Verizon/LTE variant. This is a 2 piece case (black silicone base and red fishbone part).
Looks: I really think the case looks great, the pictures below won't do the colors justice but the black is a very nice matte black and the red is a very cool shade. The design is appealing, of course, or I wouldn't have purchased it... heh.
Fit: The fit is nearly perfect (might actually be perfect, this is the first time I'm ordering this style of case). One of the... ribs has a teeny tiny slight gap between it and the black base. It is not highly noticeable and I couldn't capture it well in a picture... but it's there.
I don't know if this is related to my phone being the VZW version.I don't know if this gap will go away as the case "settles in" since it is pressed down easily and doesn't feel too tight.I don't know if the case will fit with the extended battery, but since I have the extended battery at home I will test it out and report back.
Feel: I really like the feel of the red part on my hand when I'm holding it. It's not any extra grip or anything, but it is comfortable. The side grippyness is sufficient to not be slipping out of your hand, but it's not as grippy as many other cases that have a more textured design.
Function: The lip is sufficient to protect the screen when face down. The only thing I don't really like about the case is that the button parts aren't super noticeable by touch. Don't get me wrong, they work perfectly and you can feel them just fine when you are trying to, but when I am not paying attention I find myself not being certain where they are for a moment or two. I will probably get used to this, though.
Hope that gives everyone the info they're interested in... if you have questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks for the write up and pics. That case looks awesome. Curious if it would fit with the extended battery. Hope to hear back from you about it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I tried it with the extended battery...
The silicone part fits perfectly, the fishbone part is a little close but does fit too.
The... spinal parts at the top on the back are slightly raised. Just a bit, only an issue if you are pretty nit picky... But it definitely fits and the clips/ribs and top/bottom fit perfectly.
Happy to confirm that the slight gap on one of the ribs has gone away over night. The case fits perfectly now (regular battery). Still fits good, but not great with the extended battery (might improve if left alone over time).
Thanks again. I might check into getting one of these on payday. The price isn't too bad even if I end up not liking it.

No problem... good luck if you decide to buy it, hope you enjoy it. I myself am a case junkie. I've only had the Galaxy Nexus for 2 weeks and have 6 cases and I still have 20 or so for my last phone (Epic 4G Touch).
How is the silicone? Is it a dust/lint magnet and is it a chore to get out of medium to snug fitted pants?

No issues getting it in and it of pockets (even the tighter "cell phone pockets" a couple of my pants have).
It does acquire a bit of dust like you'd expect, but FAR less than most silicone cases I've had (guessing because a lot of it is covered/broken up by the fishbone part).
I tend to be pretty nit picky and with this case I do not feel the constant urge to clean it.
How "protective" would you say it is?
Just ordered a nexus and am looking at cases my primary concern is protection, although I want a cool look too.
How do you think this would compare to come of the other cases in terms of protecting against drops? I figure a self-described "case junkie" might be the person to ask this sort of comparative question to
Ok, so this is all just my opinion... I'm not dropping my phone on the ground to support this, lol.
Both pieces (the silicone case and the red fishbone that locks it into place and secures it) are pretty secure and well made. The lip around the face is a good size (not so tiny that it is insignificant and not so big to cause usage issues).
I won't sit here and pretend I have a rating system for this stuff, but I have some cases that feel like they won't protect anything beyond it sliding around the desk or a gentle fall onto some clouds/carpeting and some cases that feel like they will do their drop and protect it from a moderate drop and fall. This case falls into the latter/better group.
I like the appearance, but not so much that I'd use it if it was a piece of crap. Thankfully, it seems well made to me.
Woah
what struck me on first glance is the design!
Its quite eye catching
I'm just not sure if it is durable...
This look good. I bought one

One major flaw, it leaves the camera lens exposed so that it can be scratched every time you put your phone down. Would need a quick Sugru mod.
It looks like you could rub the logo off
i bought this on amazon for $6.99 its not bad. was kinda my last resort as i was looking for something to match my pebble blue but theres nothing out there that did so i went for utility. its definitely has more grip than OEM but not by much. its a soft touch type material. fits just like an oem though. more rigid too

Manufacturers need to make more of an effort if they insist on stamping their logos on the back of their parts? Especially when the logo looks like it was designed in about 3 minutes by a 12 year old....
O.P! Check out my camera mod! Hope this can be useful with your rubberized cover.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1862307
Got the same battery cover myself. It doesn't provide more grip in all situations, but definitely provides more "feel" and less slippery than the original one as it's not gloss. What I mean by all situations is that most of the time I don't have a problem gripping the original gloss back, but it definitely becomes harder to grip (slippery) when my hands are too dry or have a little dust/dirt on them.
Every review and picture I've seen of this case has it fitting perfectly and snuggly like the Samsung original battery cover. However, mine is a little bit off. Seems the tolerance on the tabs are just a bit off and won't fit completely on my S3. Some of the corners won't 'snap' to latch and there's a noticeable gap along the edge. Doesn't feel like it will fall off but you can see it. I ordered through Amazon and will be returning this one to them. I did order the exact same case again from Amazon to see if the tolerance on that one is any better. If it fits well, I am definitely keeping it.
The case makes the phone feel more solid. There is no give/bending/etc on it at all when pressing along the back. Again the biggest complaint is the company logo. I've remedied this somewhat by darkening the logo with some flat black paint. I used a paint pen so it was pretty simple to do without it bleeding onto the rubberized part. You could probably do the same with a Sharpie to make the logo stand out less.
Would be really sweet to get my hands on 2 covers. Any tips on how to buy them or getting them transported to sweden?
Many thanks!
looks good

[Review][Official]Cruzerlite Androidified TPU Case

This is a review of www.cruzerlite.com and the Cruzerlite Gnex-A2-Blue case. It is a Androidified TPU case for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The cost of this case is a measly 9.90 plus shipping/handling.
I ordered the case on Sunday September 30th from their website www.cruzerelite.com and received it through the USPS on Thursday October 4th. They had very fast shipping for a weekend order which we all know is often not the situation with many on-line vendors.
I found this case at www.cruzerlite.com/cases/samsung/ga...androidified-a2-tpu-case-for-galaxy-nexus-600
They have 11 total colors available for this case including the blue model in this review.
The material used for this cases construction is 100% TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) plastic.
There are 10 well placed cutouts for the various buttons, usb port, headphone jack, speaker/mic and a spot to hook a lanyard. I do not use a lanyard personally but like the added feature for a phone built without.
The case fits nice and snug to the phone with a regular battery and door. The extended battery and door fits as well but requires a little working of the case to fit the side right but it DOES work well with it. I personally with any case use my extended battery without the door and it fits great that way. The case makes a very nice small ridge/buffer zone which protects the screen from all those small grains of dust that will spider the screen when it lands face down.
The functionality of the case is nice as well. Some people like raised buttons such as on silicon cases. I do not. I find they cause my pocket to wake the phone. The cutouts keep that from happening by keeping the buttons recessed a little bit. The case slides easily in and out of my front jeans pocket and never hangs up on entry or removal. Something I could never say about any previous silicon cases. The case is very easy to put on and remove.
It has a very nice and clean design to it. The little android logo on the back of the case is a nice touch to break up what would be a very boring look. I find no flaws with the case in design and manufacturing of it.
Designing in a lanyard spot in for a phone without is a very nice thing to see. Even if I personally do not use it I know they are thinking how can we make a case even better. Going the extra mile with a feature like that is not seen often anymore. Most case manufacturers I have seen have simply said “Oh this phone doesn't take a lanyard....moving on” Cruzerlite said “That's a bad design lets give it one” Well done.
Final thoughts...Cruzerlite has gone the extra mile in making and offering a economy price for a solid design with added features not found elsewhere. 9.90 plus shipping. Can you go wrong for a case that is made well, fits right, will protect from all sorts of incidents and looks this good. You can't go wrong picking up Cruzerlite Androidified TPU Case for your Galaxy Nexus.
Is any dangers of using the phone without a backdoor?
I have the black one. I wasn't sure if I'd like the android on the back but it is well done. Case cutouts and overall feel is great.

just bought'em on amazon.co.uk with the buy2get1 free promo...
Also bought a cheap 3£ TPU wave case for comparison... I'll let you know when they arrive...
I bought one a few months ago when they first came out but I'm not so impressed.
It does look great, I love the design, and I have no complaints about the fit. But there are a number of rough edges that spoil it.
The cut-out for the charger is fine because it has a gentle angle but the hole for the headset is at 90 degrees and feels very uncomfortable when holding the phone in portrait with your little finger right where the hole is.
When holding the phone in landscape for gaming there is another rough edge from bad moulding right where that textured side grip is. Again, it is very uncomfortable when rubbing on our finger. Strangely enough the grip on the opposite side feels perfect.
There is also another join line that runs around the phone which sticks out on the bottom corners but feels fine on the top.
I e-mailed the company with these complaints but never got a reply.
I won't be buying any more cases from them.

I think it's part bad design and part bad luck that I got a bit of a dud.
I have another, cheaper plain case on my Lynx 3D but the quality is far higher than the Cruzerlite. It's as smooth as butter all around and feels really nice to hold. I wish the Cruzerlite was the same because I like the detailing and colour.
But it's the lack of any response to my mail which has put me off buying another case from them.

I will agree to disagree on the design part but not that you probably got a dud. I work in customer service and I can assure you that bad items just slip out sometimes. But lack of response I won't really comment on that because I don't know the situation on what exactly you sent to them

I had the clear cruzerlite androidfied case and really liked the look. But since the case covers the side and onto the tip of the screen, it was pushing up against my screen protector that I had on. So I returned it and got a verizon kickstand case that doesn't do that.

Any other (device) nudists here?

For a while now, it has seemed like i am the only nudist when it comes to devices. Specifically since the iPhone 3G came out, practically no one *DOESN'T* have some huge ugly bulky plastic monstrosity on their device.
I have had several smartphones (see sig), and have never used a case or screen protector with them. I have also never dropped one; i know what i paid for it, i know what will happen if i drop/smack it, and i know what a pain in the rear setting up a new one would be. I take care of my equipment (i also work in HD productions and have lots of photo/video/audio gear, equipment, and rigs). I hate the otterbox or similar ones (remind me of coffins) and i've seen people crack screens or damage their devices with them on, or simply fall apart in a year. i also hate the feel of screen protectors, and how they affect what should be a fantastic tactile UI experience.
I am not above using one, specifically with this device, as it is very slippery like the iPhone 3G was, but i can't find anything remotely close to what i'm after, which is basically a tight white condom, so i am a nudist. I did have a silicone case on the iPhone for all of 2 days, mostly because my then-GF had bought me the device and case, before i removed it. With the Atrix, the AT&T salesman literally freaked when i said 'i don't use cases'; he told me i would break it in a month. It just started having digitizer dead spots. My GF and i travel extensively for work and fun; we are both device nudists; she's still rockin' her Atrix, and hers had fallen from her purse a few times with no harm done thus far. My Atrix has been to and used on five (counting Turkey as *technically* Asia, and middle east as Africa) continents, the iPhone came with me when i lived in France in 2009, and even the HTC Tilt/8925 made it to Europe and back a few times, back when WinMo6.1 was still kickin' it (Cube .cab!) Point is, crazy high/low temperatures, crazy humidity or totally dry, low pressure, high pressure, whatever.
Basically just wondering what the point of buying a device so light, so thin, and with gorilla glass, if you are going to immediately throw on a thick fat heavy case and a screen protector that is both prone to scuffing and dampens the UI experience. Since the iPhone in '09, i haven't had a laptop and now with Android certainly don't need one; usually all i carry is my mobile, wallet (hope to ditch that soon too), smokes/lighter, and keys. Shoot, half the time i carry only smokes/lighter, mobile, and single car/house/hotel/etc key; and leave everything else.
Of everyone i know, only a surgeon friend of mine became a 'nudist' (he prefers the term 'purist') since we had met; he still has his iPhone 3G.
Any other 'purists'/'nudists' out there?

because i would love to find a very thin, silicone based flexible case to use mostly so the phone isnt so slippery. literally condom thin. i just dont like accessories that turn the phone into some sort of isometric brick. if a superthin skin existed i would have bought and used it on every device. instead its all hard plastic/rubber/thick silicone. and all my searches have turned up nil.
haha same as you man . with my s1 I used a case for abt a year then took it off as the phone became less valuable (and was a bit roughed up anyway). same with the screen protector. since then I've dropped it a hundred times without cracking the screen (almost all the silver bezel is chipped off lol). the only mod I did was replace the back cover for a colorful fake yelliw one (better grip, less greasy/smudgy).
I've had my s3 for abt 2 weeks and its been sweet. seeing as its already significantly bigger than the s1, I couldnt bear to put a big case on. however, I was interested in the slim flip cover that replaces the battery door - it seems like a good way to protect the screen a little. I have ordered a fake one for abt 5 bucks on eBay, yet to arrive, but maybe you should check it out? the reason I'm going fake first is that the real one is pricey, and I dont know how practical it will actually be yet.

because i would love to find a very thin, silicone based flexible case to use mostly so the phone isnt so slippery. literally condom thin. i just dont like accessories that turn the phone into some sort of isometric brick. if a superthin skin existed i would have bought and used it on every device. instead its all hard plastic/rubber/thick silicone. and all my searches have turned up nil.

DBA thin grip?
I have an otterbox because I engineer factories. So 50 percent Im on site calling. Also since Im still an Intern I cant afford to break something. So i guess that is why people buy bulk.

me to, like phone without case.. but sometime texting in crowded place need more safety..
so i buy GUM for iphone and handlinker for safety, so my phone didnt slip from my hand
I used to use an n8 and that phone was a unbreakable machine, dropped that phone so many times and not one crack on my screen and only small scruff marks on the corners of the back original case (never used protection for it)
The original cover was a thick and sturdy case that protected the device from falling and did its job well.
When I got my s3 after seeing how thin the back was and how easily it would come off if it fell and doubted it would protect the glass the first thing I did was buy a case.
Cause I'm a bit clumsy sometimes

edit
the bumper obviously protects the screen, however some designer went through a lot of trouble to make sure this phone fits my hand perfectly. why mess with it?

I'm not using one right now, but I have 2 cases in the mail. Kids in my town think it's fun to snatch phones (I don't live in a bad neighborhood just some bad kids pass through here) and the extra grip that my Galaxy S2 Skyrocket case provided foiled a would be thief's snatch and run. Not to mention that I have sweaty hands so not having a case for a long time will be my own demise.
Stock ICS on my S3
Why not actually use a condom, one of the non-lubed ones.
If the condom is transparent enough and doesn't interfere with the touch screen, then it's the way to go, isn't it?
At least, now that Android viruses (virii?) are starting to appear, you'll be protected!

I had this case: http://www.amazon.com/Acase-Superle...689520&sr=8-3&keywords=Acase+Superleggera+Pro but it made the phone so much thicker and heavier, I stopped using it. I'm taking my chances using it naked for now.
Has anyone checked out IZag it's a thin clear protective skin I had it on the screen of my old att tilt for over two years and never scratched or scuffed it I think they make it for the whole phone now my one friend said best buy puts it on for you and gives you a warranty on the protection if it peels off he had a I phone though but I'm sure they would make it for our phone to. Myself I have a ballistic case for when I'm not at home but as soon as I get home I strip down.

I'm the same way with my phone. I like it the way it comes - slim and beauitful - and just wanted a minimalist case with good impact protection. Couldnt be happier with this case. It fully protects from any angle, and is rigid yet cushioned. It has thick clothlike material glued on both sides of a hard plastic core giving it a gauze bandage type of feeling. Imagine several bandages stacked together on a piece of hard plastic, this is the way it feels. Very shock absorbant. Yet the whole thing is like 1-2 millimeters thick, and you can see how minimalist it is.
I posted some pics and comments about it in a separate thread but not too many people were interested. It's too bad because this is an excellent case and people are really missing out. It doesnt look like much, but man its beautiful and oh so effective.
Dont buy the white one. It has white rubber adhesive along the edges that gets a little dirty. The black one though... Really loving it. It looks better in real life than in the picture. I have a black carbongrip with a white sprint SGS3, never plan to look at another case again.
all i am going to recommend is Wrapsol. IMO, best skin. texture is way better than Zagg IS or any other skin i've dealt with. It is on all of my products (iphone, macbook pro, ipad, galaxy s2) because i dont like cases. no orange peel. good grip for the back. very thin. gives it a matte look. they have replaced my lifted skin for free.
however the one they sell is for the s3 is the international version. theres a cutout in the middle for the Samsung brand. you can always buy an OEM internationally battery cover for cheap and apply it to that and use it on your carrier version.

I recommend you look at DBA cases. I have the Ultra and I think it's THIN! I have a white S3 and went all white (TPU & PCU). It looks like I don't even have a case on. If you want thinner, I don't own it but from the picture that was posted on here, the DBA Thin is thinner than the Ultra. I originally had a UAG case which I thought was thin. I went with the Ultra instead of the Thin due to the drop protection. The Ultra supposedly has the same drop protection as the UAG. Holding the Ultra in hand, it really is hard to believe it could protect from a drop, but it does.
I like the feel of the phone sans case, but there is always a part of me that worries about that one drop. So I opted for a case that added minimal bulk to the phone whilst giving me the benefit of a kickstand (I travel for work. Need to watch some movies.)
Body Glove Elite case
YUP...I never liked the thought of a case on such nice looking devices. But now I have a thin one.
Why I bought a thin case?
- so I don't have to continually wipe finger prints
- when I lay my S3 on it's back, it doesn't wobble nor touch the camera lens housing
- grip...extremely important (mine has cross hatching on the back)
- the beveling on the edges on a stock S3 when squeezed by your hand, tends to force the phone to spit OUTWARDS out of your hand! On the Htc HD2 I own, it is the opposite angle, the harder you gripped, the more it will snuggle into your hand.
- never really liked the high gloss pebble blue that much, so my case (no pun intended) I now have a dark charcoal matte finish.
- Oh and how about protection? Even the worst case adds some layer of protection. Even just laying the S3 down on a surface day in and day out can eventually lead to scuffs....obviously.
I searched again today for an hour and still cannot find something that is basically just a very thin silicone jacketing; just enough to enhance grip, protect the screen and finish, and yet keep it thin, light, and elegant.
A nudist i shall continue to be, i guess.
I Love my Galaxy s3 nude! so smooth .. so soft. I tried a few cases and screen protectors but had to go back in the nude

KaysCase Slim Hard Shell Cover Case (Clear) [Super-Slim Minimal Flexible Design]

I normally hate cases, hate them. This thing is so thin and clear and minimal, it's great! It's the slimmest case I've ever seen. And it's not that hard plastic crap, its a nice flexible piece that is very durable. It snaps right in with ease, but also holds the phone in really well. It still covers enough to protect the phone from normal drops on the ground. I was tossing it around and dropping it just to test it out last night. When it lands on its face, the case has just enough of a raised edge above the screen to protect the entire front side. The back is completely protected, but it's super clear so you can see everything. The sides have really stylish cutouts that allow for perfect use of the IR sensor, headphones, volume, camera, flash, microphones, and charger. It covers the SIM port too, which is good because it rarely gets used, but needs the protection from elements. The case is perfectly clear and also has a slight glimmer to it that makes it looks really attractive. Like I said, I HATE using cases but I love this one. You can't beat under $10 for this...
I actually got a promotion, don't know if it's still going on, but it was $2 off and brought my order to $4.99!!! With $3.98 in shipping. Only paid $8.97 grand total. It was also conveniently located in Atlanta, so I expected to get it next week, but instead got it the very next day.

I've been looking into getting this case for review, I may end up buying one since it's much cheaper than the Spigen clear case.

You honestly can't go wrong at all, given the price. I drop tested it 5 times last night on hard tile, it survived all 5 just fine, with leaving a small scratch mark on the back. But because of the aluminum silver color of the phone, it's honestly hard to tell that it's even there. I actually had to search hard for any damage. I really like that it's flexible, so that when it does have impacts it doesn't just shatter, it absorbs.

Do you think it would look just as good on the Black HTC One? Is it really crystal clear, as in no yellowish tint?

No yellow
Using it right now on my HTC One, I did a post a while back but I definitely recommend it. It's even better than the HTC original cases I have tried.
Could we get some pics plz ?
