Best Galaxy nexus Price - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Right now handtec.co.uk and clove.co.uk have the phone for $690. The phone was released yesterday on Bell Canada and is $650 off contract. But im not sure those of us in the states have access to that without a Bell Canada account. Has anyone else found it cheaper?
Newegg 12/13: $699

You're going to pay about the same price no matter who you order from. Even from Canada. Your other priority is who and how your warranty will be handled depending on who you buy from. You found the cheapest already so scratch.if you're itching that bad. I paid a premium to order from expansys in the states. I ended up paying $741 USD.

I got it for 549 euro today, which is around 734 USD.

unfortunately my eagerness to play with new tech doesn't mesh well with premium drop prices. this thing will be $600 new in a months time, not sure i can hold out that long

If it is $650 new in Canada chances are it will be that in USA also. Gotta pay if you wanna play now. Waiting though will probably save close to $100 USD.

[Q] Importing to the U.S. from canada

I'm not too sure if this have been discussed on the GNex, but from what I've found looking around there doesn't seem to be any mention of importing the phone from canada.
Does anyone know if there's a website that does this? If so should I wait for the canadian release to import it or just give in and order it from expansys?
there's another topic floating around talking about that
the general consensus ends up being it'll cost the same as importing it from the UK
Just wait till the 8th...
ah thanks for the replies. I'm just sitting here debating if i want to put in the order right now or not for expansys. While I'd like to not miss the 2nd batch, I'm also certain that they don't ship through the weekends.
Hmmmm decisions....
It's about the same price as from the UK.
I checked with a Bell store earlier today, and they want $650 plus a month of service ($50) + our 13% tax of course. Ends up being ~$700 + tax. Virgin mobile wants the same thing, but I'm wondering what happens if you go on a pay as you go plan and just not load any minutes onto it. In that case it's still $650 + tax.
Not to mention shipping of course.
Is it possible to buy this phone for 650.00 plus tax and shipping and have it shipped to the USA?

For Canadians looking to have the device on launch day, contact me. My fee is "modest" but it will save you the hassle of arguing with reps, activating lines, credit checks, and cancellation requests through Bell.
Go check OmegaCell they have crazy prices now but once the device launches it will be good. And Bell has repeatedly told me that the phone is sim locked. The two best buys closest to my house both said they won't sell the phone outright.

For those buying the GN from the UK, get it from Handtec.co.uk Their price has consistently been the lowest of the pack unlocked (make sure you look at the regular price, w/o VAT). With tax and shipping (1-4 days FedEx. Got mine in 1 day!) you're paying about 690 which is great, considering the speed at which they deliver.
In addition (not sure if it's the same for other sellers) but handtec gives you a universal phone adapter/surge protector that covers Europe, the US, Japan, Australia, Thailand and the UK. It's not practical for use in the US (I'm using my sensation charger) but you never know when it might come in handy, especially if you travel a lot.

Advice needed, where should I order my GN from?

So I habe a T-Mo GSII and I want to order a Galaxy Nexus, this'll be my first Nexus phone. I've been looking around the forums and there's different sites people have usied to order one. Any personal opinions on which is the best place to order from? Thank you in advance.

If you want top service, order from Expansys. Aside from having a rep on this board who is VERY responsive & helpful (COREY L) they also have a $40 discount coupon 40OFFGNX (that's four-zero-oh) which worked for me as of late last (Thurs) night.
Ordered last night 11PM (PayPal) and it was already picked up by Fedex and scheduled for delivery tomorrow by noon(I paid for SAT delivery).
My guess is if you wait another 2-3 weeks you will see a pretty decent price drop but if you're in a rush I'd say EXPANSYS.
I just sold my T-Mo GSII as well.
Seconded, Expansys
I pre-ordered mine from Expansys and it arrived at my house about 5 days after the release overseas (including Thanksgiving). The transaction was professional and painless.
Yes, it's pricey at the moment, but the price should come down after the festive season.
Failing the announcement of a domestic US GSM version, go with Expansys.
Handtec UK has consistently been $50 cheaper since release. I've picked 2 from them so far. They also have free shipping to USA. Since it is your first Nexus I should point out that any grey market device will have marginal or no warranty service, including expansys us, read the fine print not the ads. Good luck.
Thanks for all the input guys. Yea and I was really wondering too about he whole warranty thing, would there be none since I'm ordering overseas?

I think Negrielectronics.com still has a $40 off "HOLIDAYS" coupon. That makes it about $685, with free shipping.
+1 on expansys.
corey L is the sh!t!
Purchased mine from negrielectronics.com. Great experience.

+1 for Negrielectronics.com . They had the cheapest price when I got mine, free shipping and I literally had it delivered to my house the next day. (Sadly it was a friday and I wasn't home so I had to wait until Monday for it to come around again but that was my bad.)
If you do use Negri, use amazon or google check out to speed things up, people processing credit cards with them have reported delays in the process.
Negri also - best price (after coupon), and shipped quickly. Also, no tax for me!
$685 is pretty good for this level of phone off contract.

I don't think I'll ever use expansys UK again. Mine was faulty on arrival and it took two weeks between reporting it faulty and getting the replacement through. Seemed like forever!!!
I don't know if that's typical for Internet retailers, quick to send but slow to resolve problems. It's all sorted in the end so can't complain but waiting two weeks was torture.
+1 for Expansys, Got mine delivered 2 days after ordering, no problems at all.
NewEgg is selling it for 719.00 right now, NewEgg is always on point, great service and prompt shipping.
Coupon codes available for both...

Ordered from Negri on the 22nd, the coupon was good for $50. My total was $680.50, and they were offering free shipping via FedEx Saver. Its due on the 29th.
I've always used Handtec, but with that coupon, Negri was cheaper.
Just order from Negri, they lower their price+ coupon. Paid $639.50

I ordered from Negri and it was there in three days. Ordered on Sunday night, got it on Wednesday morning. Got it for 685.
Ohhhh of course a couple days after I order, they lower the price.
Anyway, did you guys get FedEx shipping? Mine was shipped on the 22nd, and still says estimated delivery is the 29th. I was really hoping for like Monday, or Tuesday at the latest...

If you're still looking and depending on how close to the USA/CND border you are you could pick one up from Bell or Virgin off contract. Especially while the US DOllar is stronger. Just my 2cents...
I went to a Verizon store and bought mine for $650 and didn't have to worry about shipping.
Sometimes buying off contract doesn't make sense, can someone explain?
I have a question about buying unsubsidized phones off contract. It makes sense on certain plans, like T-mobile value plans that end up saving you money. However, for the rest of the folks who are on regular plans with Verizon, doesn't it make sense to get the phone subsidized from somewhere cheap like Amazon. I mean you're going to have the phone at least for 6 months, then you can pay the prorated Verizon ETF whenever you want to cancel your contract. Doesn't it come out cheaper? Am I missing something? Are you guys on different Verizon plans?

Any canadians received their orders yet?

How much duty/taxes did you have to pay?
Someone post a screen shot here where he paid less than 50 dollars.

Wonder why yours was much higher than mine? I did the exact same, from handtec, although mine was the 2-4day shipping option, but i ordered it monday night vancouver, and it arrived this morning.. so essentially overnight lol.
I know.. its so expensive. Where are u located?
I paid the same shipping as you.
When I bought my galaxy nexus from handtec, I also paid roughly the same amount for tax & handling fee.

It's possible the brokerage fee was included for you and not the others. I've had numerous times where Fedex invoiced me a couple weeks later in the mail for the brokerage fee.
I m located Downtown Vancouver, most likely i will have a deferred brokerage fee mailed to me, although on my galaxy note, it was only 16$, although that was from expansys... this might be different. Fedex for the note though as well.

Buy it from either Wirefly or Newegg, I bought mine from Newegg and I've had a couple issues with the first two I got and their really good with returns and I got my replacements overnighted to me the next day.
If you can wait until Black Friday all the sales will put everyone against each other.
Last year I got my E4GT for a .01 cent sale through Amazon Wireless.

Wal-Mart. $148 on full renewal. Just bought mine last Friday.
Might have to call around to the area Wal-Marts. Only about half seem to carry T-Mobile contract phones.
Got mine for $179.99 with a MIR for $50 - drops it down to $129.99. It was done over the phone though, but no upgrade fees or anything like that.

Hello Galaxy Note II

Sweet. I actually sold my Note 1 on amazon for 350 bucks, and got the note 2 for 299 bucks. Newest phone, and made 50 dollars. lol
You go through a lot of phones. I had a iphone 3g. Then infuse. Now this. And I couldnt be happier.

Agreed, not a good deal. They were on sale for $174 for a month on Amazon
I find it funny that people still pay full 2 year contract pricing.
Only 2 phones I could not find at least 50% off asking price is iphones (new iterations) and latest blackberry bold (do not know why this still cost)
All in all welcome.

$299 is what most carriers are selling it for, especially on contract upgrade/extension. You sometimes get a better deal on a new contract (i.e., you aren't a current customer.)
Amazon had them for about $175 for a little bit but not on a contract upgrade. Then they went to $249, then $289. They seem to be back to $249 now on most carriers.
Usually the cheapest place is cartoys.com based in Seattle. Among other things, you get free shipping and no tax unless you live in Washington or a couple other states. AT&T (and I assume the other carriers) charge tax on the $699 list price. So here in California, the tax is about $60.
Cartoys finally has them available at $249. I did manage to get the only two they had a couple weeks ago at $149 each! I had been following their web site and they accidentally had posted them on the website at that price. I called and they discovered they shouldn't have posted them on the site because they didn't have any stock. So they took them down from the web site. I called a few days later and they had two phones in stock. With some taking, I was able to talk them in to selling them to me. But I wouldn't expect to see them at that price again for a bit.
